Demon Brothers + the Nowdateables taking MC out on dates...but this is the Devildom, after all, and even the most normal of date activities are a little different around here.
LUCIFER
There is an endless list of things Lucifer would like to do with you -- he’s a demon with many interests, after all and perfect at anything he does.
But he’s a busy demon, so he tries to choose carefully when he gets moments to spend with you.
Tonight, he’s decided to take you to a new immersive, interactive theater experience that had been the talk of the town.
However, this is the Devildom, and it seems that you are now inside an intricate haunted house, the story placing you inside a rather morbid tragedy.
You also can’t tell if all the actors’ sinister smiles are part of their character, or if they really are looking at you that way...
But Lucifer is here with you, and he intertwines his fingers with yours to make it very clear just who they are dealing with and to not take too much advantage of the situation.
Demons do terror on a whole different level, and you’re thankful to have Lucifer to hold onto tightly if/when things get a bit too much for you to handle.
But you soon get wrapped up in the story, eagerly pulling Lucifer set-to-set as scenes change, much to the eldest brother’s amusement.
He’s into it too, of course, and you both talk in whispers of what you think is going to happen next, giving each other grins when you’re right, or exchanging looks of surprise when there’s a twist.
Magic helps bring everything to life, to the point where you can’t help but feel a bit freaked out -- in one scene, you join the cast underwater, though the magic makes it so that not a drop of water actually touches you and that you can breath as if you were in open air.
In another scene, a gory battle seems to drench the audience in blood and guts, your shock subsiding as Lucifer keeps whispering reminders that it’s all an illusion.
After a whirlwind of a story, the play comes to its tragic end, and you can’t help but elbow Lucifer’s side when he somewhat teasingly offers you a handkerchief to wipe away your tears, though he just softly laughs in response.
Once the applause subsides, Lucifer takes you to one his favorite cocktail lounges nearby, which thankfully isn’t too busy.
There, you spend the rest of the evening cuddling in a corner, tucked away from the rest of the lounge, discussing the play and sipping your drinks.
MAMMON
Mammon starts the day off with his favorite - let’s go to the horse races!!
But this is the Devildom after all, and these are no normal horses - they are skeleton horses!!! No wonder he’s always so excited to see them!
You have to rein him in (ha) from doing too much betting, but once you get to your seats, the excitement in the stands gets to you too.
While you wait for the races to start, he spends a while happily explaining the betting system to you, as well as pointing out which horses to look out for.
It takes you a little bit to be able to tell the difference between horses, since they’re all skeletons, but they have fun names like “Neverending Despair” and “Gambler’s Trick Pony”.
His bets actually turn out pretty well, since he was trying to impress you.
When his horse of choice crosses the finish line, you both grab each other screaming that he won.
In the excitement, he gives you a big smooch, calling you his good luck charm.
Then he realizes what he just did and gets super embarrassed, looks away, and pretends it didn’t happen.
Afterwards, he brings you to one of the stables and convinces the stable masters to let you in to see the horses.
The headless horseman, who owns the stable, convinces him that it’d be really romantic to ride the skeleton horses together, and teaches you two how to get on and ride around a bit for the price of all his winnings.
It’s a bit strange to ride something so bony, and even Mammon isn’t really used to it, but you laugh at each other a lot while you figure it out.
In the end, you get to ride the horses around a bit and watch the moonrise together on horseback.
LEVIATHAN
Leviathan rarely wants to do things outside of his room, so you’re surprised when he first suggests an evening at the beach, but you eagerly agree.
He takes you to one of his favorite coves, only mentioning after you point out that barely anyone is around that, technically, this entire stretch of the beach belongs to him.
Ah, those subtle reminders that you were living with the Seven Demon Lords of the Underworld.
The black sand feels soft under your feet as you slowly make your way to the ocean and shiver at how cold the water is -- but Leviathan just zooms right past you and dives into the water.
When his head resurfaces, you can’t help but let out a gasp -- he’s transformed into his sea serpent form, his scales seeming to glow in the dark.
He gives you a shy smile, his sharp teeth glistening -- but then the water around him seems to swirl, and something large breaks through the waves -- Lotan!
Seeing them together like this, you realize how similar they look when Levi is in this form -- from the colors of their scales, to the beautiful texture of their fins that seem nearly transparent in the moonlight.
You dive into the water to join them, and soon realize that there are a variety of other devilish sea creatures lurking in the depths -- but Leviathan just holds you close and tells you about each one of them!
He points out some black dragonfish, a fangtooth devilfish, various kinds of squirming squids, and a few frilled goblinmouth sharks.
They’re kind of terrifying-looking, but also kind of...cute? Especially as Levi greets each one and plays around with them.
You spend the rest of the night playing in the waves with Leviathan and Lotan, even getting to take rides on their backs as they gracefully swim through the waters.
Maybe even get some Levi sea monster smooches in the moonlight. ;)
SATAN
After helping you study for your Devildom history classes, Satan realizes that there’s so much interesting history you don’t know about.
He gets tickets for you two to go on a Devildom history walking tour that goes all around the city.
Since you basically live in the capital of the Devildom, they focus a lot on old political and military information, but there are some fun facts and random cultural tidbits thrown in too.
You learn all about interesting historical events, past Demon Kings, and the stories behind statues you never paid much attention to.
The tour guide uses magic to bring the scenes they’re describing to life, so you get to really see the history play out before your eyes.
Satan cringes a little bit when they make a stop to talk about the fallen angels who arrived after the Great Celestial War though.
As the tour guide leads you from place to place, Satan chats with you about random fun facts and information he’s read about the various sights too.
He’s so excited to have someone to share this knowledge with, since the rest of the brothers don’t really care as much - they were there for a lot of it, after all, before he really developed beyond just being Wrath.
Even though it’s always dark in this realm, it still gets colder as the night gets later, so he lends you his jacket to help you keep warm.
For the last stop on the tour, the group ends up in front of RAD, where the tour guide starts talking about the exchange program, a momentous new program that the current Demon Prince has started.
You’re really surprised when you see magic illusion versions of yourself, Solomon, Luke, and Simeon appear in front of everyone, though all the figures look a little bit....off.
Satan gives you a little squeeze and whispers to you that you’re much better-looking than their ridiculous depiction of you.
After the tour ends, you get dinner together at a nice restaurant nearby and chat about your favorite spots from the tour.
ASMODEUS
Just like the human world has venues specifically for capturing fun social media content, the Devildom has its “Devilgram museums”, interactive spaces set up for all kinds of fun photos and experiences.
A new one that has quite the hype surrounding it is about to open, and of course Asmodeus got premiere access!
He invites you along, wanting to make a date out of the experience -- what better way than to get a whole bunch of cute pictures of you together?
You aren’t sure what to expect at first, but upon arriving at the attraction, you are promptly reminded that you are in the Devildom.
Beautiful skulls align the entrance, liquid of various bright colors dripping through their eye sockets as if to represent blood.
Inside, you’re met with all kinds of displays and interactive exhibits that seem to fuse playfulness with spooky horror. It’s pretty impressive, really!
Asmodeus eagerly pulls you along, wanting to make the most of the day, snapping photos together at every opportunity.
One of the areas is a grand room of mirrors, cut in bizarre geometric shapes that reflect fragments of your body all around the room -- you’re surrounded infinitely by glimpses of your eyes here, Asmo’s lips there, the sharp curls on his wings inches away from you in every direction.
There are candles throughout the room, and the way they’re positioned, it’s as if the room is consumed by flames. Asmo takes a hold of your hand, pulling you close, and you can see his lips form a sly smile.
His fingers come to your chin to lift your face to look at him, and then he leans in for a slow kiss.
You hear a faint click of a distant camera, and Asmo parts with a triumphant look on his face. He had readied the museum app on his phone to get a photo at the perfect moment.
You both continue to enjoy the rest of the museum together, heading over to the museum cafe afterwards to enjoy some parfaits and look over all of the photos you took together.
BEELZEBUB
The Devildom is a very big place with a lot of different cuisines, and Beelzebub wants to eat from every single one.
He takes you on a deluxe food tour to sample dishes from top restaurants for each of the different Devildom cultural cuisines.
Not all of the places are your typical high-end fancy restaurants like Ristorante Six -- some of them are inside of caves, others are in spooky forests, and one is literally inside a cemetery tomb.
You are led into the kitchens for several of the places, so you get to see the foods actually being made and hear directly from the chefs, though you have to hold Beel back from snacking on their ingredient supplies.
The foods themselves range from deathly spicy, to the bitterest of herbs, to sweet and bubbly poisons.
You sample all kinds of dishes like sea monster stew (don’t tell Levi), unicorn blood pudding, black rice spiced pudding, poison mushroom curry, and hellfire ham roast with wicked wolfberry sauce.
There’s also a taste of magic to most of it, though different cuisines use different types of magic, so some of it leaves you feeling “dark” while others feel “sparkly” or “flashy”.
Everything is delicious, but any time there’s a food you don’t like as much or don’t want to finish, Beel is happy to take it off your hands.
You also learn a lot about Devildom geography and the different ingredients commonly available in each area.
When you inevitably get really full and tired by the end, and feel like you can’t walk anymore for the last few stops, Beel carries you on piggyback the rest of the way.
As you head home, he talks about how he’s gone on this tour a few times before, but for some reason, everything just tastes better when he’s eating it with you.
You plan future cooking dates together so you can try to make all of your favorites at home later, too.
BELPHEGOR
It’s no secret that Belphie loved going to circuses in the human world in the past, as no such thing existed in the Celestial Realm.
The Devildom, however, has plenty of carnivals and circuses that tour throughout the realm, and one of the biggest shows is in the kingdom’s capital right now! So he decides to invite you to a show.
Stepping into the circus grounds, you can’t help but wonder if you’ve actually stepped inside a horror movie -- there’s just something unsettling about the way the circus troupe looks at you both as you pass through.
Belphegor hooks his arm with yours, holding you close and giving you a soft smile in reassurance before making way to your prime viewing seats.
The show soon begins, and you’re quickly immersed in a story that Belphie explains is based on several Devildom legends.
The sets are beautiful, magic bringing them to life as the performers trapeze and juggle and dance about the stage.
One of the aerial performers is dressed as a Three-Legged Crow, though you’re not sure which parts are costume and which parts are just...them.
Regardless, they look ethereal as they twirl through the air -- but as they begin to do some more dangerous stunts, you feel Belphie hugging onto your arm.
You find yourself hugging him as well, both unable to keep your eyes off of the show despite the dread that fills you as the stunts get more and more violent.
At the end of the performance, you both join the roaring applause for the troupe and then head outside, Belphie leading you by the hand out of the circus grounds.
He takes you to a hilltop, pulling you down to lay down in the grass next to him, mentioning to ‘not mind any ghosts’ as this place is a bit haunted. Just normal Devildom things.
You spend the rest of the night stargazing and talking about your favorite moments from the show.
DIAVOLO
You suddenly get a call from Diavolo saying he’s on his way to pick you up for your date.
Which is surprising, because you hadn’t exactly actually made any plans for a date, though you’re more than happy to go on one with him.
When Diavolo shows up to get you, he’s in a full bowling outfit - he made the mistake again of asking Asmo about necessities for a bowling date.
But don’t worry, he has a matching one for you too!
It turns out that, while Lucifer is fine with Diavolo going out sometimes, Barbatos does not exactly know about this little excursion.
But he just really wants to go out and have some fun with you on a normal date like other demons can do, so he snuck out, and this bowling outfit is his idea of a disguise to hide from his butler.
It’s not at all effective as a disguise, but he seems really pleased about it, so you decide to just play along.
For the bowling itself, the lanes are long graves, and the pins are little skeletons dancing around like the spooky scary skeletons dance.
The bowling alley also has a couples’ special, which features special bowling balls where you you can feel each others’ heartbeats.
Of course Diavolo opts you both into that, as he doesn’t really know a lot about human heartbeats and is eager for the chance to learn more about you and how your body works.
When you go to pick up your own ball, you’re surprised to discover there are actually several different heartbeats going on inside! Because of course Diavolo has multiple hearts.
There also happens to be a promotion going on -- anyone who gets a certain score or above, wins their super deluxe hell banana sundae as a prize!
So he mischievously cheats a little bit with a tiny bit of dragon wind...on both of your throws.
He just really wants to share that sundae with you.
The bowling place actually catches him doing it, but when they realize it’s the crown prince, well...actually, you can just have the prize!!
The sundae is delicious, and the two of you finish it just in time before Barbatos shows up, apologizing to you that the young master must return to the large stack of paperwork awaiting him at home.
BARBATOS
Barbatos is another very busy demon, so getting to spend more than a moment with him is always a treat.
He had invited you to a big rock & metal music festival happening at the Hell Dome, a large outdoor venue and park in the Devildom.
You figured it would be just like the music festivals in the human world, and you weren’t entirely far-off ... but there were certainly come unique aspects to attending a fest in the Devildom.
There were three stages, an array of food and drink stalls, plenty of varying areas for sitting or standing, merchandise booths, and some interactive experiences, including what seemed to be a poison drinking contest. Your demon made sure you steered clear of some of these.
Barbatos isn’t one to really get in the crowd/pit, though he will go with you if you’re so inclined -- just, maybe not all the time.
If you do go into the crowd, he’ll make sure to get you both a place either by the front or side barricade, holding you close so that you don’t get trampled by others.
Though when demons around you realize it’s Barbatos they’re near, you end up getting a nice ring of space around you anyway. Thrashing his tail around helps.
This demon has his connections, and what he’d much rather do is actually take you to see some of the bands from side-stage!
You get to meet some of the bands, and also get to see some truly spectacular performances -- demons go to a whole new level when it comes to stage presence and theatrics.
Barbatos just chuckles when you express disbelief at one guitarist setting their entire instrument on fire, continuing to shred away as they danced around the stage.
There are moments where you aren’t sure if you’re watching a concert, or a deadly magician’s trick. Was that guy...impaling himself while he sang?!
At the end of the day, you enjoy having some food and drink together while watching the last band’s show from the VIP area, enjoying a bit more of an intimate moment with Barbatos.
Mention that it was nice seeing a different side of him like this, and he’ll give you a small smile and a kiss, saying that he’s glad he can show his more private side to you.
SIMEON
When Simeon invites you out for a Devildom wilderness photography date out in the far reaches of the realm, you’re a little wary at first.
You’ve heard there are terrifying monsters out there, and while you’re curious to see them, you’re also not looking to get yourself killed.
But Simeon, giving you his sweetest puppy-dog eyes, promises he’ll keep you safe from harm no matter what, and you really are curious to explore more of the Devildom, so you agree.
True to his word, he casts an angelic charm as you both step into the forests, wrapping you in a warm light that feels like the gentlest hug.
You explore the forest together, taking photos of anything and everything you see - flowers glowing with darkness, trees that seem to shift a little bit more than they should from the wind, forest creatures in the shadows.
Eventually, you come upon a clearing by a gorgeous lake where you decide to take a break for lunch.
He’s brought pancakes, his famous BLT sandwiches, tea, and other delicious picnic goodies.
A small devil possum comes up to sniff at your food, and you get a great shot of Simeon trying to feed it a bite of pancake.
You’re both caught off-guard when twenty other pairs of eyes open up all over its body as it nibbles at the pancake with delight, but then you burst out laughing together.
You take a few photos together as well, with the beautiful nature scenery around you.
As you’re heading home that night, you show each other the pictures you took and excitedly discuss all the cool things you saw.
Unfortunately, Simeon didn’t realize his camera was out of focus for half the photos, so many of them are quite blurry or focused on the wrong thing - but the ones that aren’t, are all incredible.
Later, you print off your favorite pictures together and put together a cute photo book of the trip.
SOLOMON
Solomon heard from Asmodeus that you’d been missing the human realm lately, so as the only other human exchange student, he decides to take it upon himself to try to cure your homesickness, by inviting you on a date out to the Devildom version of a so-called “human world restaurant.”
Upon arriving, the owner excitedly comes to greet you, as they had of course never had any real humans come to their humble little. establishment -- and with the reputations of your respective pacts, you’re basically celebrities, so this is great marketing material for them.
They express their high hopes that you find everything to your enjoyment, and you are quickly ushered to the nicest table at the restaurant, with the promise that they will serve the best dishes for your date, on the house.
Neither of you have been here before, so you’re sort of expecting normal dishes and foods, but to your surprise, the waiters cart out an entire cow, covered in gold flakes.
The owner proudly tells you this is their “Cash Cow”, which they understand to be a very modern dish for humans as they’ve only heard it talked about in the past half a century or so.
You and Solomon avoid making eye contact because you just know you’re both going to burst out laughing if you look at each other.
The second the staff leaves your table, though, you’re both cracking up so hard you think you’re going to cry.
It turns out all their dishes are themed after such expressions they’ve heard in various languages around the human realm -- “Unfortunately, Peanut Butter”, “Cat Got Your Tongue”, “This Turned Into a Serious Bowl of Rice with Mango”, “Feeding on a Picture of a Cookie”, “A Maggot in Bacon”
You feel a little bit bad that the owners really, earnestly think these phrases are based on real human-world dishes.
Of course, you and Solomon can’t actually eat an entire cow between just the two of you, so you end up calling Beel before you go to ask him to come help, which he happily does.
It wasn’t at all like being back in the human realm, but you actually do feel better now, having at least had someone to laugh about the whole experience with.
Before you go home, Solomon surprises you with a bouquet of colorful human world flowers that he’s enchanted to never wither, shyly telling you that he hopes they’ll remind you of home, and of him, whenever you look at them.
