i look at myself in the mirror and l see my hair & face & skin every single day. it can be hard to get past the imperfections - but just putting a little effort into my routine makes my hair & skin feel great and makes me a little more confident and comfortable with myself.
i recently bought a dyson hair dryer which was a very expensive purchase, but it really felt like an investment in myself & i have loved using it. i don't have to wait hours for my hair to air dry before i can go to bed and get restful sleep. it's fun to style it straight or with my natural waves & curls. it feels soft and bouncy.
also, this week i started my basic skincare routine again after a month or so of giving up on it, and my skin feels noticeably softer & less dry and irritated. when i mentioned my age during a conversation with my coworkers this week they were surprised and told me i have great skin - another reminder that what we see in the mirror daily isn't the same way that others perceive us!
