Seventeen Reacting To You Messing Up A Cheesy Pick Up Line: (Jun Ver.)
You hummed the tune of a song aloud as you finished brushing your hair in front of your mirror. You were getting ready to spend the entire day going out into the countryside with your friends. It had been a trip you’ve been trying to plan for the past month or so since you could never seem to find a moment where you and your friends could be at the same place at the same time. Just as you finished tying your hair up into a messy bun, your boyfriend, Jun, knocked on your door.
He peeked his head inside your room, a familiar cheesy grin plastered on his face. It faltered slightly when he took a look around your room and spotted your things that you were planning on packing sprawled across your bed. “Whoa, why are you all dressed up? Are you going somewhere?” He asked, shoving his hands into his pockets.
You smiled, walking over to him and pecking him on the cheek. “Yup, I’m finally going out on that trip I’ve been trying to plan with my friends for the longest time. All of our schedules are finally cleared at the same time for once.” You said, moving to your bed where you began to pack everything into a backpack.
Jun bit the inside of his cheek. “Oh, but I thought that you and I could hang out today since I’m home for the week.” He said, hopefulness laced in his voice. Jun had just got back from tour a couple of days ago, but he was only going to be staying for a short break before he needs to fly back to Korea.
“It’s just one day, Jun. Besides, we’ve hung out everyday since you’ve gotten back.” You pointed out.
Jun’s eyebrows knit together, beginning to grow agitated. “Well, yeah, but the whole time that I’ve been back we’ve spent the day sleeping in and staying in. It would be nice if I could take my girlfriend out.”
You turned to face Jun, surprised to see a look of annoyance on his face. “We can do that another day. Come on, I rarely ever get to see my friends since we’ve all graduated.” You told him, lightheartedly.
“Well I rarely ever get to see you! We only have 3 days left to spend together before I have to leave and I won’t see you for half a year, and you’re acting like none of that matters!” Jun suddenly raised his voice, his face reddening.
Your eyes widened slightly. “Jun, just calm down, okay? Of course I care-”
“Then don’t go.” Jun cut you off.
You were taken aback. “Don’t you think that’s a bit selfish of you to ask that of me?”
Jun huffed, backing away towards the door. “No, you’re the one being selfish.” He shook his head, heading out the door.
You stood frozen in shock. You had never seen Jun act like that before. He was always so happy and cheerful, never once have you seen him angry or sad even. Finally shaking yourself out of your thoughts, you chased after him.
“Jun, wait.” You sighed, breaking into a jog. He stayed silent and failed to turn around, continuing to walk away from you. “Can we please just talk about-ah!” All of a sudden, you felt your shoe get caught on the edge of the rug in your hallway, making you lose your balance and fall forward … right into Jun.
You both toppled towards the ground, landing with a harsh thud. Jun landed besides you on his back, letting out a groan, while you landed face first on to the tiled flooring. You winced, trying to sit up, feeling a pain in your leg. When you managed to prop yourself up, you noticed a large scrape on your knee, blood beginning to surface. “Y/N, your knee!” Jun cried out in worry.
Your face flushed as you rubbed the back of your neck, embarrassed about your clumsiness. “Do you have a bandaid? Because I scraped my knee tripping for you. Hehe…”
Looking at Jun, you saw his muscles relax and a faint smile return to his face. “You know it’s supposed to be ‘I scraped my knee falling for you’ right? You weren’t actually supposed to trip.” He smirked. Your face flushed even more. “Come on, let’s get you cleaned up.”
You let out a quiet gasp when you fell yourself being lifted and carried bridal style to the bathroom. Jun set you down on the bathroom counter and rummaged through the cabinets to find the first aid kit. You figured now was a good time to say something to him. “I’m sorry.”
Jun lifted his head to look at you. “For what, the fall?”
You bit your lip. “Yeah that and especially about earlier. I should’ve never planned a trip when I knew you’d finally be back home. I just got excited when I found out my friends and I could hang out again is all. And I guess I’ve just gotten used to you not being here for me spend time with. But you’re right, I should be spending as much time with you as I can before you have to go back. Friends can wait.” You said, smiling.
Jun couldn’t stop the smile from forming on his face. “I’m sorry, too. You were right about me being selfish, though. You should go on that trip with your friends, I’ll still be here when you get back.”
You shook your head. “But you won’t be here much longer.” You let out a frustrated groan. “I just don’t know what I should do.” You and Jun sat in silence as he finished cleaning up your knee. Just as he finished, an idea popped into your head. “Why don’t you come with me?”
Jun gave you a funny look. “Isn’t this supposed to be a girls’ trip, though? And I don’t mean to brag, but uh, I’m kind of a celebrity.” He said, smugly.
You laughed sarcastically and gently kicked his arm since you were still sitting on the counter and he was kneeling on the floor. “Are you kidding? My friends would love to have the famous Wen Junhui accompany them for the day. Plus, we’d get to spend the whole day together. What do you say?”
Jun smiled. “It’s a date.”
