No yeah that absolutely makes sense he probably wouldn’t be able to get them with moving from military base to military base and it’s definitely an overdone trope 😂 in canon it would make more sense for John to ice him out (lmao pun intended) and in your canon for sure. The hospital putting them on suppressants for safety makes a lot of sense as well but now I wonder if he would keep up with it when he finally got discharged? Hmmm

naw, you get weaned off suppressors when you're cleared for discharge. house actually hates it, convenience of lack of a cycle aside, bc suppressants come with side effects and as a doctor he's seen far too many cases of unsafe suppressant use wrecking people. he does get shoved into an unpleasant heat after he gets home tho as his body overcorrects itself (it's not house md unless the titular character is being put through the wringer)
