I really love Mina's sense of protectivness, humor, and tough love. I think it's done really well and I appreciate the way you do it. She's got such a sense of realness to her

thank u!! thats v important to me bc like of the brotp minako is def the one i don’t understand as well, but i hope/think i’m getting there. i love thinkin about the ways she’d tackle haruka’s addictions and poor mental health because i feel like she’d have a very unusual approach but it’d work wonders for haruka? like she knows her so well, and yeah they usually have a casual relationship and it was all fun and games but at the end of the day she knows exactly how to handle her and she really, really fucking cares

Goddddddd Haruka and her guilt and self hatred get me every single time, it's such a thing for me, she's trying so hard but she just can't get there, not without Michiru, and it's sad and heartbreaking

it’s like a cycle and she has her good days and she gets out of bed early (setsuna’s surprised but doesn’t show it) and she takes the kids to school and she goes out looking for a job and maybe she’ll get somewhere but then something will happen, maybe she hears a piece of music that michiru used to love, or maybe she sees seiya playing catch with harumi and everything just tumbles in and she’s reminded how she can’t cope without michiru, how she’s a grown woman with two children and she’s sobbing to herself and drinking herself into a stupor and the kids come home and they don’t wanna go near her (or perhaps, yuna tries to go to her but haruka sends her away, because why would her kids need the influence of a messed up drunk like her?) and it just reinforces this whole complete absence of self-worth, so she drinks to forget, which reinforces it again and there’s just no stable happiness for her, not for a long time anyway but she’s still surviving. she’s still alive and sometimes she smiles and laughs and she has these little sparks of happiness but they just won’t stay put in her head and im rambling i’ll stop now sORRY

Can we get someone complaining about how loud Belle is when she and Ruby are screwing?

lol omg i know you sent this way long ago but i finally got around to it and i don't even with my own writing but anyway here it is

Another busy day at the diner left Ruby tired and looking forward to a hot bath and a deep sleep buried in pillows and blankets. She visualized the thought as she made a few last minute checks on everything before closing up.

With the diner almost completely shifted over to Ruby, Granny now tended to spend more of her time at the Bed and Breakfast, managing that and putting more focus into the work to be done there. Which was why Ruby found it odd to see Ashley at the desk instead of Granny.

Before Ruby could spend too long pondering on it, her ears picked up the sound of charging feet, right before a body crashed straight into hers, sending her stumbling backwards and bumping into the wall. Tension shot through Ruby's body at the impact, but she relaxed almost immediately when she recognized the familiar scent of tea and books and flowers.

"How was your day?" Belle's breath tickled Ruby's ears.

"Productive." Ruby gasped, feeling hands moving straight to her waist. "Yours?" She tried to wriggle her arms free from where they'd gotten pinned between their bodies, to be able to embrace Belle. Instead of inching away for a bit of space, Belle only tightened her grip around Ruby, putting more weight against her, pressing her more firmly against the wall.

"I missed you." The sound that came out of Belle was practically a purr and with their bodies this close, Ruby felt every little movement it made, from the slight rise and fall of Belle's chest at every breath she took (and she seemed to be breathing faster than normal), to the beat of her heart (which was also going faster than normal) to the tremors that passed through her in the form of a giggle.

Biting her lip, Belle looked up at Ruby with eyes that easily gave away mischief and playfulness and excitement. "Let's have Girl's Night now instead of tomorrow." 

Every single one of Ruby's senses were focused on this moment, on Belle's weight against her, on the contrasting feel of a hard wall at her back and Belle's soft body at her front, on the sight of those eyes, on the scent of books and tea and Belle. The sensations were overwhelming Ruby, intoxicating her. Her own heart was beating faster than Belle's. Ruby could hear it as well as feel it. Her breaths were also deeper and faster than Belle's. "I like the sound of that."

Belle rose to stand on the tips of her toes and Ruby felt intensely aware of even that small shift in movement. "Do you?"

What little distance between their faces was growing smaller and smaller as Belle pressed further, moving her face towards Ruby's. Their lips were nearly touching. Ruby could feel Belle's breathing and that heartbeat was getting even faster still. Parting her lips, Ruby expected a kiss.

And Belle pulled away. "Let's get moving then." With a smirk and a spark in her eye that showed she knew exactly what she was doing, Belle charged up the stairs, knowing Ruby would follow. "Don't forget to say goodbye to Ashley!"

"What?" Ruby paused to throw a dazed glance in the direction of the counter, where Ashley looked exaggeratedly focused on a record book.

"For a wolf," Belle's voice came from upstairs, "You're moving really slow."

"For someone who sits around in the library all day," Ruby turned away from Ashley and charged up the stairs. "You're really fast."

Wait, that one was actually a compliment. Not the kind of response she should be giving amidst banter. Ruby would have given herself a bop on the head for that one if she hadn't found Belle waiting at the top of the stairs.

"Speaking of which, I was about to pick up a book and read while waiting for you." Belle teased.

"No need for that now." Without stopping, Ruby rushed towards Belle, wrapping arms around her and lifting her right off her feet. Automatically, with practiced ease, she brought her legs around Ruby's waist, latching onto her. "And you owe me a kiss."

After passing these hallways so often, Ruby could make her way to her room with her eyes closed. Right now, they were focused on Belle, which was pretty much equivalent to closed eyes because this was Belle. What else mattered when Belle was here and in Ruby's arms, laughing and cheering and finally giving her that kiss?

When it started, it didn't stop. They were kissing heatedly and hungrily and Ruby was hurrying to get to their room in time and why the hell did they have to be at the very end of the hall anyway?

Belle pulled away and gasped when her back hit the door. A vague apology came in the form of a continuation of the kiss while Ruby fumbled with the doorknob until the door finally swung open and-

"It's about time."

Ruby blinked.

"I could hear you two going at it since you arrived."

For a moment that might have lasted anywhere between a few seconds to a few minutes, Ruby stood frozen to the spot, gaping. Belle, still being carried, awkwardly untangled her legs, lowered herself to the floor, almost stumbled and grabbed Ruby's arm for balance.

"G-granny?" Ruby heard her own voice coming out several pitches higher than it usually was.

The disapproving scowl remained on Granny's face as she stood up and folded her arms across her chest. "It has come to my attention that there have been complaints."

"About what?" Belle tried and failed to arrange her disheveled hair.

"At first, I assumed it was just Ruby," Granny raised an eyebrow in a quiet reminder of all the times Ruby got caught in the middle of her past conquests. "But after making observations last night, it's apparently the both of you." 

A sideways glance at Belle showed that she was blushing and lowering her eyes to the ground. "You heard about... about last night?"

It had been such a good night, too. Now, Ruby wouldn't be able to recall the memory of it without imagining Granny pressing her ear to the door and listening to the whole thing.

"I've got wolf hearing too, remember?" Granny took a step towards them. "But it doesn't take wolf hearing to hear the racket you two make when you go at it. Everyone on this floor has filed a complaint at least once about strange noises they hear in the middle of the night."

"W-we'll be more quiet next time." Belle's face was red and she could barely look at Granny.

"That or do it in the library instead." Granny curled her lip at that and Ruby wasn't sure if it was a genuine suggestion or sarcasm.

Belle was the one who immediately responded with, "No! The library is not the place for-"

"But we did it in the diner." Ruby cut in. "Why can't we be even? You got me where I work and I-"

"In the diner?" Granny's eyes widened and she looked just about ready to faint. Or explode. "Really, Ruby? Really?" 

Seeing this as an opportunity, Ruby pushed forward. "Yeah, it was on the counter where you like to put your cookies and Belle had her hands on my-"

"No!" Granny bustled through them to get to the door. "I'm going straight to that counter and I am drenching it in acid."

"Bye, Granny!" Ruby called after her.

"But you still have to be more quiet!" Was Granny's response from down the hallway. By the sound of it, she was already hurrying down the stairs."

With a roll of her eyes and a grin, Ruby closed the door and returned her attention to Belle. "Where were we?"

"Did you really have to tell her that?" Belle was still blushing and she swatted Ruby's shoulder. "Why did you have to tell her that?"

"I knew it'd get her out of our hair." Ruby grinned, proud of the accomplishment and amused by how embarrassed Belle still was.

"Well now I just want to watch a movie or read to you because that," Belle hugged herself and glanced towards the door. "Put me out of the mood."

Ruby felt her smile fall. "You're serious?"

Smiling to show she wasn't angry, but not flashing that smirk that showed she was still game, Belle leaned towards Ruby and kissed her cheek. "Yes, I'm serious. Now help me pick a book or a movie."
