A/N: I played with a concept of a wip I’ve been wanting to do for a while, so here is a tease if anyone is interested. Club owner! Joel. That is it. Pure smut. Might turn this into a small series or a one shot. We’ll see where it goes.

the world of this story is very solarpunk, biopunk and plantcore so i picked some images off of pinterest that seem to fit the world!

This story is divided into three parts of the world but the world is expansive and heavily focused on the relationship between nature and technology.

so @aurumni-writes​ suggested i write some of my recent new ideas down and i will! this is for a very half-baked wip that i’ll develop eventually bc i need to exercise restraint:

the setting is pseudo edwardian - some of the technology of that era - early cars and trolleys - exist, but with magical elements. carriages are pulled by... griffons, maybe. and of course, this would be a lot longer than the actual edwardian era for the purpose of the aesthetic.

robber barons. can’t have it be pseudo-edwardian without the gilded age and robber barons.

our main character is the oldest of three sisters. she’s already from a wealthy family, so she’d probably know a lot about magic. i don’t have a name for her (i briefly contemplated “elvira”) yet, but she’s very girly and sweet and well-mannered but also book smart. she’s also unfortunately sheltered, being from a rich family.

also, the main character is biracial but constantly gets mistaken for white and has her identity erased by other people because i am bitter and projecting.

...speaking of which, maybe her dad’s a robber baron and part of her character arc is reconciling with the fact that while her dad does genuinely love her and is a good parent is very exploitative towards his workers.

an obligatory trolley ride scene.

i guess this story’s meant to be a (rather cynical) commentary of the dark underbelly of the “long summer afternoon” of the edwardian era, as well as the saccharine nature of some of the stories i’ve read. and expect some reference to the real world art nouveau.

maybe there’s a mysterious boy loaded with angst? and he’s pseudo ecuadorian. probably. and maybe a love interest.

i know there’d be a hard magic system.

dragons, of course! they’d probably reside in the countryside.
