Good morning, book friends! What are your thoughts on comps? I crossed over the 40k line on my #wip yesterday. I’m still a little behind for #campnanowrimo, but working on catching up. I’ve been pitching this book as Phantom of the Opera meets Count of Monte Cristo with magic. This breaks comp rules, since I’ve always been told that you should include a book from the last five years. I’m reading possible comps right now but haven’t quite hit that sweet spot. Well guys, Savage Moonlight is finished. I won’t deny that the last half was brutal for me to get through, especially the new ending. I had spent so much time completely rewriting the beginning half that I lost motivation toward the end. But I made it! It’s so much stronger than before but it will still need some polishing before I send it out to agents. I’ll be taking a long break to read some of the books I got at BookCon so it will be a while before I get to the sequel I think. I won’t touch the novella until later this year either. I’m hoping I can work on the novella during the fall semester. I just need a break until inspiration hits me again haha! I need to recharge. But it’s FINISHED!!! . . Some of you might be tired of these updates on Savage Moonlight, but I want to thank anyone & everyone who has watched this book come to life through my stories & posts. It means a lot to me. Truly.
