“They ran off pretty quick.”

“Yup.”

Sage looked over at the remaining member of Team RWBY as she nipped at the strawberry ice cream bar she held. Yang, if he recalled her name right.

“Want to have a singles night?” she asked, “you know, go out dancing, dinner, movies, go to a hot spring joint...”

Sage’s eyebrow rose.

“That sounds like a date.”

“It really isn’t.”

“It sounds like it.”

“Well, it’s not.”

Yang finished her ice cream and tossed the stick into a nearby trash can.

“Hey, it’s either singles night with me or wait until your friends get back. And trust me when I say Blake can take a long time when she and Sun are in protest mode.”

“Alright,” Sage said with a shrug, “why not? Could be fun.”

No sooner had he finished talking then Sage found himself yanked towards the parking lot and a yellow motorcycle.

“Don’t be afraid to hold on tight if we’re going fast,” Yang said with a wink, “A girl can appreciate a man with common sense.”

Sage didn’t let go until they reached the first club.

In under five minutes.

Since Yang apparently thought traffic laws were more like suggestions.

Gosh I remember when wise dragon (Yang x Sage) was actually a point of speculation back in volume 2. Aesthetically they're a very cute couple. Found some adorable arts and fics of them back then. Literally zero stuff for them now though. Real shame :(

Yeah, I think since Sage just didn’t get a character even now put a big damper on the ship.
