RANDOM STUFFFF IDKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!
Working out what dynamic Clay and his mudwing sibs would have.
Reed and his sibs, well, they certainly don't feel like heroes. they spent that last year of the war either playing guards at the freebound battalion camp, or running patrols in areas already long considered secure, no real assignment was handed to down to them until basically the end. For them, there was no glory won, feeling like nothing more than hatchlings under the wing of some alien feeling father figure.
But to Clay, they were every bit as heroic as the older adult mudwings that went west. At not even 6 years of age, Reed, Marsh, Crane, Pheasant, Sora, and Umber all underwent a journey of half a continent, in direct defiance to the tribes queen, crossing through the sky kingdom to reach Blazes territory, knowing well that they could die, willing to lay down their lives in the hope that future generations of dragons would not live under tyrant queens.
To Clay, these six mudwings were just as much heroes as any other dragon who fought against Burn, and he is more than proud to call them his siblings.
Deffo one of my top 3 traumatised MudWings (TW: mild blood and eyestrain.)
Sora's so damn cool istg we need SO MUCH more of her. The earrings are from her sibs. The two smaller ivory ones are from Pheasant and Reed, and the claw is Crane's. (Poor Crane man...)
These Seven Make Me Insane In The Membrane
Design notes:
- Mudwing genetics go wild, leaving siblings very varied in appearance
- Clay has red eyes, indicating his fireproof status
- Due to how he was raised, clay is also the thinnest of the seven(malnutrition) and has poorly cared for tusks
- They all have inherited some form of their mother's red markings and have freckled shoulders and backs of wings
- Umber is the runt of the litter and is smallest
- Crane was the tallest, that mantle has now been passed down to Marsh
