Sandwings Ref
Horns:
Horns tend to be sharp and jagged
Sandwings love of jewely make them subjects of self-expression.
There is no preference on horn type.
Legs:
Sandwings are facultative biped, meaning they can walk on all fours or on two.
Their front claws are hoof-like with a prominent dewclaw. Back-claws are wide to prevent sinking in sand.
In polite society, it’s expected that a Sandwing stay on two legs to show a lack of aggression. Front legs should be tucked close to body.(The head is usually in the way of a proper overhead strike. Harder to swing to the side on two legs.)
Sandwings are the fastest tribe on the ground and can run more easily than they can fly.
Eyes:
Sclera is usually dark.
Eyelashes are usually thick.
Tend to have markings around the eyes to help with light reflection.
Tail:
Tail has a retractable stinger with potent venom.
Venom strength varies between individuals and their diets. Avid users has weaker venom from overuse, so it should only be used when necessary.
Tails are expected to be curled in mixed company.
Patterns:
Colors are fairly uniform and don’t tend to go far outside of yellow.
Most attractive pattern to least. Heatwave> Limestone> Diamondback> Prickly> Speedster> Venomous.
Extra:
Sandwings have the smallest wings. They fly hard and fast but can tire quickly.
Front claws are fairly used. They tend to use their wing claws.
Much like Mudwings, they can close their nostrils on command.
A lowered head and raised tail is treated as attempted assault. So submissive Sandwings might raise their heads very high as if praising the sun. This looks very strange to other tribes.
A full and undamaged fin is a traditional sign of the higher class.
