How I feel while masking my autism at church for 3 hours straight while on my period:

Any other time it's light work, no reaction. But when you add my period to the equation, I want to rip my skin of, bite everyone around, and just flip a damn table (also, I would like to add my church is fine with people being mentally disabled. I'm not masking for fear of religious scrutiny. I'm just shy and don't feel comfortable showing that side of myself to people)

why is mansplaining like. the polar opposite of womansplaining.

im saying this as an idk what honestly but its confusing.

so for those who dont know mansplaining is when boys pretend to be mature men and condescendingly/sarcastically explain things to women when the woman/women he's speaking to very clearly knows more than he does on the subject. mansplaining is born of male insecurity.

womansplaining is also born of insecurity. it's when women explain subjects they know a lot about and/or are passionate about in great detail, and then turn around and say things like "i could be wrong though".

mansplaining is rude as fuck and helps tell the men from the boys.

womansplaining just makes people with a sense of empathy feel bad for that poor woman who's bottling up so much ancient bullshit from her childhood :')
