when cait said "viktor's at the centre of all this isnt he?" i dont think we all understood how much "all this" was to jayce. to the viewers in the moment and everyone else in the room, "all this" meant the ongoing battle. to jayce, "all this" meant everything in his life up until this very moment.
viktor was the reason he became obsessed with magic, viktor was the reason he and his mother survived, viktor was the one who saved him from jumping, viktor was the one who had faith in him and helped figure out hextech, essentially giving him another chance in life. AGAIN. jayce's affection for viktor is what causes him to revive viktor with the hexcore, his promise to the older, future viktor is what brings him home with a renewed determination to get his partner back.
his entire life has revolved around viktor and he didn't even know it.
how do you think he felt learning that his "first" meeting back in s1e2 was in fact, destined to be? to learn that in every timeline and in every possibility, he and viktor will always find each other.
so to jayce, it was always viktor at the core of it all, and still is.
+++
fun fact: in this scene, right after cait mentions viktor, jayce's pupils dilate.
then his memories show us a viktor that is much softer and even presents with a smile, which was NOT what we saw in the actual episode!
cr reyenii
and note: this is the viktor that jayce saw right before killing him with his hammer. imagine just how gut-wrenched he felt in that moment.
Ok so I was drawing, right, and then I realized something.
"...The way I see it, relationships are two sided"
"and sometimes, it doesn't make sense to do all the heavy lifting when the other isn't in the mood."
"We all go through and deal with things differently, and sometimes, you just need to let people do things their own way."
"As long as you're still there when they need you. Giving someone space should never be the same as giving up on them."
"...There are always ways to show you care without ruining yourself over it. You need to look out for yourself in all this, too."
"Relationships are two-sided": to be able to make the circus work, both Caine and the circus members should've communicated with each other properly
"-and sometimes it doesn't make sense to do all the heavy lifting when the other isn't in the mood": Caine forcing his adventures onto everyone, thinking it would appeal to them when in reality it's the very thing that drives the humans away (in Pomni's case, she literally views Caine as someone who wants to see her suffer in episode 3)
"And sometimes you just need to let people do things their own way": referring to the suggestion box adventures, but because Caine feels like it should be HIS ideas that the humans like, he keeps shutting them down
"As long as you're still there when they need you, giving someone space should never be the same as giving up on them": He never listened, he never TRIED to understand, he just basically bombarded and suffocated the humans with his adventures because that's what HE thought would benefit them
"There are always ways to show you care without ruining yourself over it. You need to look out for yourself in all this too": Caine saying he literally slaves away for the adventures, that he does everything for the humans but they still don't like him
So, uh. Is. Is this anything you guys. No??? OK BYE.
It doesnt matter how much the agenda of body stereotypes are forced into media. Leon to me, is beyond that. He's seen too many dead bodies, too many people not live out their full meaning in the universe.
Underneath all of the hardened armour is a man who wants to see your strechmarks. Wants you to make bathroom jokes and eat fast food, spilling crumbs on him while he either plays puzzles or naps on the couch. What would be the point of going out all the damn time when he's barely home?
He wants to know about your deepest fears, how much you hate your co workers and your outbursts of period pain at 3am.
His idea of fun is cutting sausages into small pieces, making mac and cheese to couple it and handing it to you with those doe eyes, hoping its an earned meal.
He doesn't just talk you through it, but also finds fun in malfunctions during sex, where the two of you accidentally fall off the bed together or forget your on the balcony making out, about to scar the entire neighbourhood.
Nestles in the softness of your stomach, when you sleep. Even though that's a sensitive spot for you, he loves it. Its more to love.
“are you an emperor or a pirate?” was originally just a jab at weird marketing, but it ended up foreshadowing so much. clark was an “emperor” in the backrooms; it was where he felt he truly belonged, where nobody was contrary with him, where nothing was his fault. but then there’s captain clark, the pirate, who may not be the true leader, but he is the most powerful, and he makes it known when clark goes against him by bringing something new in. diplomacy may be the leader, but violence reigns. am i making sense.
gentle love is so weird, like wdym you're not mad at me because i'm overthinking, wdym you're not mad at me because i'm reacting badly. i expect you to get annoyed but you don't. you're just patient and not bothered at all. no one's ever loved me like this
ig someone being patient with you is the purest form of love.
Coyle and Franco tearing each others clothes off - moving so quickly trying to get to the ‘good part’ .. then their hands slow down as they realize one of them has to receive and to do so they have to be prepped.
A soft, slow, intimate moment. Something neither men want to go through because it’d give them a moment to breathe . A moment to really think about what they’re doing and how they feel not just about the situation itself but about the other.
Coyle having to grapple with the idea that he’s not ‘ the man’ here because they’re both men. (Really he is still going to claim to be the man-after all he isn’t a pansy) that he can’t intimidate Franco the way he did his late ex-wives.
Franco is nervous for the ridicule. He was never able to please women. Always accepting defeat and letting them shame him before he would kill them in the end. He wouldn’t be able to kill Coyle- he doesn’t want to and murkoff would punish him if he tried . Would coyle remind him of his father? What would his father think if he knew? If his father knew he was doing something queer- something disgusting even for him.
