so @corporatebanana and @nzchance both wanted to hear abt my current wips, while @beanarie and @sad-girl-hours23 wanted me to share the last sentence I wrote, and since I don't have time to do a lot of writing lately, I figured I might as well put it all in one post 👍🏻

wild as the west texas wind (bucktommy, ao3 link)

I am working on chapter three!! I promise!!! I am!!!!

this is my wild west bucktommy au where outlaw!buck is captured by bounty hunter!tommy except they also had sex one time years ago and neither has ever forgotten abt it - at the end of chapter two, they're trapped in a small mining town due to bad weather, and buck has just found an old photograph of Doug Kendall amidst tommy's things and is confronting tommy abt it

Scott Hunter was once the brightest rising star in the NYPD, on the road to becoming one of the youngest police captains ever, but in 1930, aged 33, he's an unemployed drinker on the road to nothing but a too-early death. Until, that is, a handsome young man shows up with a story about his dearest friend being accused of a murder she didn't commit. Reluctantly, Scott agrees to investigate, though the investigation drags him deep into the criminal underbelly of 1930s New York City.

basically a scottkip detective noir murder mystery au - featuring Shane and Ilya as rival mob bosses, Dallas Kent as a corpse, Kip as the femme (homme?) fatale, and Scott as the world-weary but secretly-hopeful-and-romantic detective

edwardian era/wwi au; in 1912, tommy kinard fell in love with evan buckley, the earl of rochester, and had his heart broken - in 1916, evan buckley loses a leg at the somme and is reunited with tommy in a military hospital

I am so so so fascinated by wwi and of course, I had to put tommy and buck through All That - it's gonna be angsty, and hot, and a bit soap opera-y (just like its main source of inspiration, Downton Abbey)

sequel to blackbird on my shoulder! it's been a couple of years, tommy and abby are semi-amicably divorced, tommy's starting to consider retirement, when who shows up on tommy's doorstep in need of a place to stay?? evan buckley!!

my take on how scott hunter and kip grady find their way back to each other (this fic is basically just a vehicle for exploring the ny admirals, including giving scott and carter their very own geno malkin (scott is sidney crosby, carter vaughn is kris letang, they need their russian weirdo)), also featuring scott's past as the MLH Slut and lots of both scott and kip being jewish

Written on the back of the thick daguerreotype are the words "Mr and Mrs D. Leahy, Christmas 1856" and Buck flips it over, curious to see 'Mr and Mrs D. Leahy', only to nearly drop the daguerreotype in surprise when he sees an unfamiliar woman and Douglas Kendall staring up at him.

The Perfect Ring - Analogical (marriage proposal):  Virgil makes the perfect ring for Logan, and now he just needs to pull off the perfect proposal.

You Promised - Prinxiety (near death experience):  Roman wakes up beneath a canopy of trees, with no recall of the accident that got him there.

Working Too Hard - platonic LAMP (teacher Patton):  Something is wrong with Patton, but he won’t admit it.

Answer the Phone - Analogical, Royality (panicked partners):  Logan and Roman receive an SOS message from Virgil, but they can’t get hold of him. Logan is afraid for his partner and as Roman receives no replies, he starts to fear for everyone’s safety.

Sweetest Morning (prompt/request) - Analogical (fluff): Logan has a big day ahead and accidentally does something he’s been wanting to do for months

Wedding Signs (prompt/request) - Moxiety (mildest of angst):  Roman has lost Virgil, on his wedding day of all days. Logan is sure to start freaking out if things aren’t on time, so who is going to find him? Obviously Patton wasn’t going to just sit around and wait for someone else to find him, so Pats is on the case.

Babysitting (prompt) - Analogical & Royality (hug Logan): Distance has meant Logan hasn’t seen Patton and Roman in years and he is suddenly charged with looking after there son for the evening. Very short fic just about Logan facing his friends and embracing his inevitable role as an uncle. 

Family (prompt/request) - Prinxiety Day of the Dead/family reunion:  Roman asks Virgil to attend the Day of the Dead celebrations with his family. The event proves too much for Virgil as he is crushed by the fact that his own family abandoned him. Or did they?

Magic Beans (prompt/request) - Analogical & platonic losleep (Magic Coffee Shop au): (@/blinksinbewilderment did a livestream and mentioned that they wanted this analogical/losleep in a magic coffee shop...then this story was born)  Remy steps in when his sleep deprived roommate wants to quit magic school before even attempting to learn magic. A visit to his favourite coffee shop seems like the best way to snap Logan out of the funk he’s in.

Multiple Chapter Works 

Sides of a Hero - 20/20 chapters - Platonic LAMP fusions au:  Virgil keeps his past to himself out of fear and guilt. He may be a main side now, but was that what he was meant to be? Virgil never told the others about his existence prior to becoming a side. Would they still trust him if they knew what he did and who his friends use to be?

Roman called them Dark Sides, but what are they really and how is Virgil connected to them?

Libraries are for meetings - Work In Progress: 12/? chapters - developing Analogical, romantic Royality, platonic Logicality human/university au:  Virgil works as a cleaner in a library after loosing his university scholarship. He’s homeless, he’s lost, he’s confused and he has to admit he needs help. Cue an unpredictable meeting and suddenly there is someone willing to take him on the path of self discovery and acceptance. Will he accept it, or will he walk away like he normally does?

The Shield to your Sword - Work in Progress: 6/? chapters - Prinxiety fantasy & magic au:  Roman is the arrogant, but naïve, Prince of Azmar; a kingdom in the land of Sanderz. Virgil is an orphan the Queen took in as a companion for Roman, and they have been a pair ever since. Though he thinks the world of his closest friend, Roman will discover there is much Virgil has kept from him over the years. The truth is a tough pill to swallow, but Roman is going to have to swallow it if he is to save those he holds dear and protect his people from an invading kingdom.

Elements of Love - 3/3 chapters - romantic LAMP elemental/powers au: (includes alternative endings for varied angst levels) When Roman attempts to stop an out of control fire on his own, he sets his partners on edge. Virgil may not understand his powers, but he knows he has to use them to save Roman while Patton and Logan struggle to get to them.
