Welp, it’s 2026 now I guess.
I wonder how many projects I’m not gonna finish there’ll be this year?

I found a bunch of my old story ideas—which one catches your eye?
1. A trans prince who escaped into the modern world has to return back to the post-apocalyptic land to stop a corrupted god.
2. An autistic girl runs away from her abusive family and into a mysterious sentient forest that slowly drains her humanity the longer she stays.
3. A retired villain reluctantly adopts a child with uncontrollable powers, set in a zombie-infested city.
4. A trio of misfits are chosen to complete tasks to keep the peace between the ancient gods that live beneath their city.
5. Two opposite best friends decide to solve the mystery of their classmate who got poisoned and hospitalized, only to uncover a web of lies that dives deeper within their school.
6. A human boy who likes fighting monsters, a teenage warlock and a polite zombie girl go on a quest to find a magical artefact that promises to help them achieve each of their own individual goals.

Hoping to not shoot myself in the foot, but I think the harder parts of this part of the story are over. Just gotta do the rest, and keep a balance on perspectives.
Other silly fantasy idea:
All mages spellcast from an item.
It could be sentimental. You have mages who use a favourite book, a piece of jewelery from a loved one, an old childhood toy.
It could be meant as a statement. A weapon is a common choice among more violent spellcasters. A helmet or a shield are often used by clerics or other healers, although they are often antiques and harder to find. You once met what you can only assume was a mage specialising in repair who used a hot glue gun as their item of power, but then again... they were an odd duck, by all accounts.
You ask the young woman what her power is. She grins almost smugly and pulls out a cheap plastic lighter, already scuffed up and messy. You stare back, amazed. After all, this woman has been hailed as one of the greatest young mages anywhere on the globe and... this is what she used to get there?
She shrugs. "I dont know. It was a stupid choice, but... I've gotten used to it. I don't even smoke, would you believe? I just... I guess I like to burn things."
Sea Monsters: Prehistoric Creatures of the Deep
A National Geographic book (complete with 3D glasses!) to help me come up with ideas for semi-realistic sea monsters in my writing.
'Cause you know what's stranger than fiction...?
How many projects to yall have?
