Summary: Alice reunites with her sister, they have an unexpected visitor, and Matthew gets a surprise, the night before the wedding         

Finally an update. I lost my mojo for my WIP's for a while and decided to do some shorter prompts. Slowly getting back into things. This chapter got unexpectedly dark between Gina and Alice and I wasn't sure how I felt about it tbh. But there are also some beautiful moments that I hope you enjoy. C.W implied child abuse, mentions of violence.

Wherever you find love Chapter 9 - Magic abroad in the air

Alice looked at herself in the mirror, tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear and looked down at her swollen belly. She self-consciously smoothed the deep purple fabric of her dress over it and bit her lip. She was now struggling to hide her pregnancy and while they still hadn’t made it public knowledge she’d heard the whispers and seen the stares. She was growing so quickly that Jean was having to make alterations to her wedding dress on a daily basis. She saw Matthew appear in the mirror behind her.

No one is alone Chapter 39

“I saw that Matthew” Alice raised an eyebrow.

Matthew straightened up in his chair, radiating innocence “What?’

“I saw you sneaking fish to the cat. Quit it, or she’ll develop expensive tastes”

Matthew grinned good naturedly. “I couldn’t eat another bite, and she’s got those eyes… actually they remind me of yours”
