My Favourite Study Resources
Hihi! Back with another informative post! Again, these are just my personal faves, but let me know if there are any you like too!
General Study
1) Study Bunny! I will never shut up about how good this app is. It’s free to download, you can use it to time how long you spend studying (or how long until you can stop haha) and you can colour code each subject so you know how much of each you’ve been doing. You earn coins and can use them to buy cute outfits, it’s super helpful and motivational.
2) Google Docs. Yup, I’ve picked a side lmao. It came with my computer so originally I didn’t have much of a choice but honestly, I like the way Google Drive functions, I like the way Google Docs functions, it’s my preferred tool for digital notes :)
3) Seneca Learning. Not sure how well this works for countries other than England (if anyone knows do hmu and I’ll add it to the post!) but this has full, free, revision courses for quite a lot of GCSE and A Level subjects.
History
1) Learning Academy. They make YouTube videos covering loads and loads of A Level History content. They are single-handedly responsible for the A in my mock exams at the end of last year, can’t recommend enough. They also do interactive live streams where they go through past exam questions.
2) OverSimplified. Not a school-specific resource, but super helpful for just getting the gist of a topic. For example, we cover Russia and they have a video on the Russian Revolution. It doesn’t cover everything in the detail I need to know, but their videos are a great way to introduce yourself to topics/ re-familiarise yourself with things you’ve forgotten.
Politics
1) Learning Academy. That’s right they do politics too! Same gist as with history, cannot recommend enough!
2) TLDR News. Although they don’t cover course specific content, they do explain current affairs really well, and get you familiar with the language and events of politics. They have channels covering the UK, US, EU and Global politics!
English
1) Spark Notes! Fairly obvious choice but they give really good summaries, general analysis and (if you’re studying Shakespeare) modern translations which can help supplement and improve you work.
2) CGP. Another obvious one for students from England but CGP revision guides are hugely helpful in understanding both the plot and themes of your text as well as the general context. My school at least sells them for cheap, you might be able to find them discounted online too.
Okay that’s it haha. If anyone has any general/subject specific resources then pls reblog and add or post them in the notes! Hope this helps <3

🌟hi tumblr!! i’ve decided to make a studyblr to track my journey through y13 and applying (+ hopefully studying in) medical school!
🌟about me:
- 17
- east midlands, uk
- studying biology, chemistry, english literature and epq at a level
- applying to medicine and biomedical science ( currently offered biomed at queen mary london and two interviews for medicine at leeds and manchester)
- i love music and i currently play piano + violin!
I’ve come to a realisation for this school year and honestly I’m loving it so far.
I’m going to wear whatever I like and do whatever I want with my body. If people don’t like it or are rude then they’re not the people I should be giving my time and energy to. I know I don’t pass and honestly there’s not much point in trying.
I’m going to realise my full gay victorian poet vampire bullshit and nothing is going to stop me. I will wear silk shirts! I will wear my stupid long coats! Eyeliner? Fuck yeah! Platform shoes? You bet!
