Rocking one of my shirts from #rocknrollneworleans2016 for today's #marathontraining workout. It was the key quality workout for the week, 6 x 800 + 4 x 200. #leelancerstrackandfield is in a short break except for a few athletes who qualified for states, so I was free to hit the track for this one. 800s were in 3:14, 3:19, 3:15, 3:15, 3:17, 3:17. Those were not the "speed" paces I was supposed to be hitting but the effort was there and they were still faster than my projected #yasso800s pace (3:20). So I'm fine with that. Then I switched from my @nikerunning LunarTempos to my @sauconyracing Vendetta spikes for the 200s. Again not as fast I was hoping for but I'll take 40-42. Total workout mileage was 9 with warmup, drills and cooldown. And the spring teaser weather (temps in the 70s) set up well to go fast.
