Summary: Joe puts you in the glass cage and makes you negotiate for your freedom
Warnings: typical creepy Joe behavior (implied stalking, obsessive behavior, kidnapping, etc.), the reader either doesn't understand the full gravity of their situation or just doesn't care
A/N: I realized I never officially wrote something for it so here y'all go (this was written super quickly so idk if it's any good or not)
"So I had to do it, you see. I had to get rid of them. I had to save you," Joe insisted frantically, sounding like he was trying to convince himself as much as he was you.
You'd woken up in the infamous glass cage underneath the bookstore he worked at, curiously looking around. The only thing you'd said so far was to ask where to you, to which he replied "somewhere safe". Talk about ominous.
"What if I need to go to the bathroom?" You spoke up suddenly, as you soon realized upon inspecting the inside of your new home that there wasn't a toilet. There was, however, a bucket.
"Well..." He awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck as he avoided the question. It didn't take much for you to put two and two together.
You gave him a look that was a cross between disgust and disbelief. "I can't pee in a bucket, Joe."
"I'm sorry, but I can't just let you out." He felt bad, sure, but he had to do this. He had to make sure that you were safe, even if it meant making you a little mad at him.
Crossing your arms, you turned in the opposite direction, refusing to look at him. Clearly you weren't too fond of your new living arrangements and were choosing to pout.
"Oh, come on, it isn't that bad," he lied upfront as he watched you. It was that bad, actually. Using a bucket to go to the bathroom was pretty gross.
And now he was starting to feel bad for putting you in this kind of situation. Anger was one thing, that he could handle. He could brace himself against that, or he rationalize away your worries or fears, but you seemed less genuinely upset and more annoyed than anything else.
He let out a heavy sigh as he contemplated his options. You were ignoring him, and he just couldn't have that. "If I let you out, you have to promise not to run away from me or anything like that. Understood?"
As if on cue, you turned back to face him again, a look of hope in your eyes. "Really?"
Joe tried not to let out a laugh when he saw you get close to the glass and press your face against it. "Yeah, really. Just- you have to move in with me. I don't want you living alone anymore. And I have to know where you are at all times."
Sure, he knew he could just follow you like usual, but he wanted you to be able to trust him. "And there's certain people that I don't want you hanging around anymore. Deal?"
Oh, god, what was he saying? This was going to be too much to put on you all at once. He should've just started with one small thing and gone from there, he shouldn't have given you an entire list-
"Deal."
Your voice instantly cut through his thoughts. Part of him wanted to believe you, even if he was a little suspicious that you'd agreed so quickly. Then again, you seemed so sincere, trusting even, observing him the same way anyone who truly loved their partner would: like he was the only thing that mattered.
"Could you let me out now? I really need to go pee."
Rolling his eyes, he made his way over to the door of the cage and unlocked it, letting you out. "Remember what I told you, alright? I don't want to have to put you back in there," he tried to make himself sound stern, to show you that he wasn't playing around when he said that.
To his surprise, you responded by giving him a hug. "You're such a sweetheart, caring about me so much," you muttered affectionately.
He couldn't stop himself from melting into your touch. If this was an act, it was certainly working.
"I'll never, ever leave you."
God, you were going to be the death of him. "And I'll never let you go," he promised in turn.
He really meant it when he said that. He was never going to let you go. Not that you seemed to mind.
End notes: I don't know if this is any good or not honestly. I really wanted to write something for Joe but I was kind of at a loss for what exactly to write about so 🤷 send me some ideas though if y'all want

Relationship: Captain Rex / Jedi Gender Neutral!Reader
Summary: The fact is that Rex kissed you last night. This morning, the inevitable confrontation unfolds.
Rating: T
Content Warning: A make out session
Word Count: ~1.9k
Left alone in the freighter’s common room, you and Rex valiantly kept up the show of indifference for three minutes of stilted silence, pretending that you weren’t glancing at each other from the corner of your eyes.
When your gazes — some would say inevitably — met, you peeking at Rex from beneath your lashes and Rex looking straight at you from behind the cover of his buy'ce, it was as good as over.
He took the helmet off, knowing in his heart of hearts that you could tell he was sending bantha eyes at you, and tucked it smoothly beneath his arm. You pushed yourself to your feet, your outer robes spilling from your lap and draping all over your open-toed sandals.
"About last night," Rex blurted out, running a hand through his buzz cut hair. You said nothing and just watched him carefully, something almost defiant in your expression.
Rex blew out a heavy breath. Right. "I… I wanted to say, I'm sorry. I should have asked before I…" He trailed off.
For star’s sake. Just say it, man.
You crossed your arms against your chest. "Before you kissed me," you finished for him, looking him squarely in the eye.
Rex coughed uncomfortably, cheeks growing dark. "Yes.” He rubbed the back of his neck. “Sorry, General."
You cocked your head to the side, eyes still trained on his face. Sweat dripped down his nape.
"You're sorry,” you said. “Hmm."
Holy Corellian hells. Rex’s eyes widened. What was that supposed to mean? Were you angry?
"About not asking, or the kiss?" You asked for clarification after a beat.
Like a shiny fresh out of graduation, he stammered. “The…” This felt like a test he hadn't studied for. "The first one? Though I really shouldn't have kissed you without asking…"
"But the kiss," you insisted, like a strill with a bone. "Did you like it?"
"I — what?" Rex choked on his next inhale.
"Did you like the kiss?" You repeated without an ounce of shame, and, in fact, with a hint of impatience. Meanwhile, Rex was standing there like a neon stop sign in a traffic-heavy Coruscant highway, certain he was giving off steam with how hot his face had gotten.
What was he supposed to say to that? Kark yes, he liked it? That he’d been thinking about kissing you since he caught you on his jetpack after you leapt off the Republic transport on Geonosis?
"Rex."
Rex took a fortifying breath — stars, help! — and answered, voice gruff. "Yes. Yes, General, I… liked it," he said cautiously, deciding to be truthful.
In true Fett clone fashion, he went the extra mile. "I've wanted to do that for a while now.”
Before the whole reassignment fiasco, even. The moment your eyes met across the blaster fire when you rendezvoused with the 501st in Arantara. Only, he never had the courage to do anything about it. How could he?
“You're… I like you.” The words just spilled out of his mouth. “You know that, right?"
On your part, you seemed very pleased with his honesty. The tense line of your shoulders had loosened, and you were even smiling.
You looked away, dropping your arms. You placed your hands on your hips instead.
"I… suspected," you replied, selecting your words with care. "I mean, I wasn't sure. You're nice to me. That's… something. And when I put my hand on your arm, the Force around you… it feels pink and, um, flowery."
Oh stars. Pink and flowery?
Rex wanted to throw himself out of a dropship sans jetpack.
"It's not a bad thing, though your shielding could use some work," you added, likely sensing his embarrassment. "But that's normal because you're not, well, a Jedi."
No, a dropship would mean waiting and enduring another moment of this excruciating torture. Maybe he could just jump through the viewport on his eleven.
"I can teach you, if you want. The shielding. We can do that in between the kissing, if that's alright."
Rex stopped thinking about how to find the opportunity to climb out of the nearest porthole. Had he heard that right?
"I… what?"
"Shielding," you repeated, looking at him in earnest again. Your eyes were so vibrant, it was arresting. "For your…"
You gestured to your head. "If you want a little more privacy. It's not like I mean to read your emotions. They're just out there. I'd know even if I closed my eyes."
You did just that, as if to show him. Your eyelashes fanned gently against your cheek. "See? You are very loud in the Force. You're… huh, still very confused."
Your eyebrows furrowed. "Where am I not making any sense?"
"The kissing." Rex blurted out, clipping his buy'ce to his belt, fingers shaking. "I meant the — what did you say about the kissing, General?"
You opened your eyes and blinked against the glare of the overhead light. Your face was cast in an orange glow by the emergency lamp. "That we can do things like, um, learning how to shield, in between kissing. Ah." You nodded, understanding dawning in your eyes. "That's where I lost you."
"Right."
You brushed your hair from your eyes. "I also like kissing you, Rex. Um, I like you."
Forget about the viewport. Rex could jump off a dropship sans jetpack and still soar.
"You do," he repeated disbelievingly. In his head, he could hear the roar of vod’e cheering and whooping. "You like me back. Why?"
He liked you. Why wouldn't he? You were wonderful, brave, compassionate, and you cared about people with the entirety of your being. You weren’t perfect by any means, but you didn’t need to be for Rex to be awed by you. But why would you like Rex, out of all the people in the galaxy?
The question put a wrinkle on your brow. "Well, why not? I think you're very handsome.” Rex pressed his lips together, startled by that. “You're my friend. A really dear friend. I like you a lot. And you make me happy." The last part was said quietly, with a small, secret smile that lit a fire in Rex's chest.
You sat down again, seemingly having had enough of standing. You picked your robes up with the Force and plucked it from the air with a swipe of your hand.
Oh, stars. This was really happening.
"General." Rex breathed, feeling like he was going to burst out of his body, his armor. "Really?"
You pressed the robe to your face, covering your features. But you nodded, your head jerking up and down.
"Between you and me, the Force is like a field in spring," the words were muffled.
Rex left his post to sit beside you on the hard bench. His armor clanked as he lowered himself. It wasn't a very big seat; the way Rex sat, his legs slightly spread, meant that his knees touched yours.
You didn't pull away.
After a moment's hesitation, he covered your hands with his and tried to pry the robe from your eyes.
"Hey," he said, tugging on it gently, "Let go."
You did. You were still blushing — the red flush had crawled down your neck, disappearing behind the neckline of your tunic. His mouth grew dry. Cute.
He put the robe away on the table, and then stripped the glove from his right hand to cup your cheek. It was bold, but…
You leaned into the touch, welcoming his nearness. Your skin was soft. You reached out and took his other hand into your own.
His heart was right in his throat.
"Are you going to kiss me again, Captain?" You asked, mumbling the words against the meat of his palm. Your lips were dry but rosy, and smelled faintly of the fruit preserves Rex had pressed into your hands earlier.
"Can I?" He whispered, remembering to ask this time.
Your breath hitched. You held his gloved hand with both hands now and cradled it to your heart. He could feel its thunderous beat through your chest, through the leather of his black gloves.
Your eyes were hooded. You licked your lips — which was insane. How could you? Did you know what that did to him? "Mmhm."
No thoughts, head empty. Rex closed his eyes and kissed you before the galaxy could tear the opportunity away from him: close-mouthed and chaste. He felt you press back, the slight pressure familiar — so he hadn't been imagining it that first time.
You did kiss him back last night.
Had you thought about it all evening like he had? Did you lie down on your narrow bunk, touch your lips, and wonder what would have happened if Rex hadn’t stopped himself?
Your mouths made a soft, wet smacking sound as the both of you pulled apart to breathe; it had Rex's throat feeling incredibly tight, his blood thrumming in his veins.
You opened your eyes, which had gone dewy — oh kriff me, Rex thought, aching to kiss your eyelids — and clutched his fist as if it were a lifeline, swaying unconsciously towards him.
"Sorry," you said, bordering between shy and ashamed. You sounded winded. He had done that. "I'm not very good at it."
"It's alright," fell out of Rex's mouth. He could hardly believe what he was hearing, what he was even saying in response. "I’m not… I only know a little myself.” If he sounded a little wheezy, you didn’t point it out. “We can practice like you said. We’ll get better at it."
At the callback to the offer from earlier, you smiled. Kark, you were so beautiful.
"Again," Rex breathed, squeezing your hand. "Can I?"
You nodded. "Yes!"
This time, Rex leaned forward more assertively, tugging his gloved hand from your chest to wrap his arm around your waist. With nowhere to go, your free hands went to his chestplate, gamely meeting him in the middle.
He moved his mouth against yours this time, the gesture almost instinctive, hoping against hope you would mimic him.
You did so with a little moan — kriff me, Rex thought again, stomach doing a flip — tilting your head so that your noses wouldn't bump. He pulled you closer to him, wanting to be as near to you as he could get. He was careful not to poke you with the tougher pieces of his armor.
When you had to separate for air again, Rex croaked, voice rough, "Can I kiss you again?"
You smacked him lightly on the shoulder this time, eliciting a short laugh from him.
"Rex! Just kiss me, damn you," you said frantically like a love interest straight out of Hardcase’s favorite holonovelas, before wrapping an arm around his neck and pulling him down to lie on top of you on the bench. Kara, you were so bold.
As you twisted and squirmed beneath him, panting loud enough that he couldn’t keep his thoughts straight, Rex determinedly set his lips on your jaw, on the muscles of your neck. You let out a loud gasp at the first touch, then mewled, gripping his nape tightly. “Rex! That — tickles, hrrmf!”
Rex chuffed against your skin and pressed another kiss to it. “Does it?”
In response, your lips found his again by magic, or the Force, or maybe it was Rex's accuracy training at play — whatever it was, what mattered was that he was touching you, by the Manda, he wanted to keep holding you forever.

NOTE TO MY READERS:
**My blog is created for different age brackets. I have created a way for you to identify which ones are proper for you to read or interact with according to your age/what can trigger you. Given that, I would like to ask everyone to be honest about whether they can or can't interact with my fics/posts. My fics are usually posted in such a way that the content is under a cut, but above that, you will be able to see whether there are trigger warnings, age restrictions, etc. If you feel uncomfortable, please do not engage with the post and if you are under-age, do not interact with those tagged with mature/dark content. Thank you so much.
**Most of my stories here are Y/N/you/reader. However, there are certain stories here which I've purposefully written to have descriptions in terms of appearance for many reasons, the major one being that of literary creativity. It's such a vast area of creation that I do not see why I have to limit it to just being you/reader-oriented. I've opted to note them at the bottom part of my stories with indications at the top descriptions should they appear in the story with specifications as to why. Note that it's not because of being exclusive or refusing to be inclusive. I have my reasons for writing them the way I do.

Summary: When Loki desires to never fall in love, he casts a spell to prevent such a thing from happening. Except, well, in the matters of love and magic, you never know the result it may have in the end. Loki x Reader
A/N: A week later than intended but it finally feels like I got the ending right. Thank you for joining me on this journey. I hope to be updating my other series very soon!
The sounds of elated laughter has become the beacon of your current whereabouts ever since Loki brought you to Asgard. He follows the sound deep into the royal gardens and finds his mother seated at the bench looking on. He follows her line of sight and finally finds you dashing through the flowers as you chase after the children under your care.
It shouldn’t have surprised him, but Asgard suited you quite nicely. From the people to the palace, you had become quite popular which was a blessing and a curse at the same time seeing as he rarely had the opportunity to spend time with you.
From the moment of your arrival, you were enamored with everything and everyone was enamored with you.
Loki brought you to Asgard primarily for your training and yet the moment his mother found out about his plans, she took over the lessons. From there, the children residing in the palace discovered your growing magic and hadn’t let you go since.
Everyone wanted to be in your company and Loki didn’t blame them so he sat next to his mother as he waited for you to finally notice him.
“Mother,” Loki greets.
“Loki,” she smiles as her focus shifts towards him.
Loki avoids her stare as long as he can until he finally gives in.
“Yes?”
Frigga’s grin only seems to grow.
“What?” he asks.
“You look happy,” she states. “Very happy.”
Loki doesn’t know how to respond but his actions speak enough for him as his eyes land on you again.
“For my child to cast a love spell hoping to not fall in love and yet here we are,” Frigga chuckles. “Love is mischief so of course even you, Prince Loki of Asgard, God of Mischief and Lies, couldn’t escape it.”
Loki remains silent and Frigga shoves him playfully.
“Come on, Loki,” she nudges. “I’m your mother, you can speak freely to me.”
He hesitates but his mother had always been the greatest confidant he’s ever had.
“I… I have yet to feel worthy of her,” Loki confesses. “I know she chose me and that our spells are further proof that we are meant for each other and yet I wake up every day believing that reality is just a dream.”
“Oh Loki, my sweet, dear son,” Frigga sighs as she reaches for his hand. “This is not a dream and you are more than worthy of her love just as long as you make her happy.”
“I intend to for the rest of our lives.”
“That’s good to hear,” Frigga smiles.
Loki clears his throat from the buildup of emotion and turns his focus back on you. He takes note of how colorful sparks shoot up from above the edges and the children’s loud admiration.
“She’s improved immensely,” he comments.
“A quick study,” Frigga remarks. “Her powers have easily come to her now. Can pull confessions with mere touch or one simple word. She can be telepathic if the mind is receptive enough. She can dispel illusions and cast simple spells if need be and I have a feeling I merely scratched the surface of her potential.”
Loki simply chuckles, “A perfect match for me, don’t you think?”
“Oh, certainly,” Frigga agrees. “It’s about time you met someone to humble you, my dear.”
Loki fakes a wince at the comment and Frigga laughs.
“Now,” she whispers as she pats his knee and rises from her seat. “I have taken up enough of your time and hers, I will take my leave.”
Frigga starts to call on the children who soon arrive.
“Come on, kids. Let’s go see if the kitchen has something sweet for us to eat!”
At the mention of dessert, the children are more than happy to follow the Allmother finally leaving you a moment of reprieve. You find Loki waiting for you not too far and you eagerly reach for him.
“Loki!” you greet. “I didn’t notice you were waiting for me.”
Loki takes note of the red hue of your cheeks and the way your hair is falling out of your intricate braid. Even though you are technically an Asgardian, there are still hints of your humanity. He likes those parts of you the most.
“Didn’t have the heart to steal you away from your adoring fans so wait I must.”
“Oh, they ask about you all the time, you know?” you tell him. “Most of them didn’t know you could do magic and now they want to see it. They’re just too scared to ask since you’re…”
“Unapproachable?”
You laugh and nod, “That’s one way to put it.”
Loki chuckles and presses a soft kiss on your temple.
“How was your lesson with my mother today?”
“Very good,” you answer as he starts to lead you down a familiar path. “She’s an amazing teacher. I wish we could bring her back to Earth with us. There’s so much more I can learn from her.”
“Sadly we can’t,” Loki responds. “Odin would fall apart without her.”
Truth.
You smile at the sensation and settle closer to him.
“He’s really in love with her,” you point out. “I can feel it radiating every time we have dinner.”
“Really?” he asks. “I don’t see it.”
“Yeah, I don’t know if it has something to do with my powers but it seems so obvious to me,” you explain. “His mannerisms are harsh with everyone around him except for her. He can’t hide his tenderness in his eyes or his actions when it comes to your mother. He’s softer with her.”
Loki can’t hide his surprise. In all his life, no one had ever described Odin as soft and yet you easily did. It never failed to amaze him how easy it was for you to see past the darkness and find the light in everything.
“What?” you ask as you notice his fond stare on you.
“Nothing,” he brushes off as he pulls you off the path. He ignores your protest as he cuts through the hedge, “Come, I have something to show you.”
You have no other choice to follow as Loki leads you toward a familiar part of the garden. You don’t understand his urgency or the need to cut through the hedges but he insists. Loki finally stops and you smile at the sight of the multiple blooming roses.
“Did you know that roses are my favorite flower?” you ask him as you lean down to smell one. “They remind me of my grandmother. She had two bushes at her home that she would tend to all the time.”
“I didn’t know that,” Loki states with a smile. “Quite ironic though…”
You pause as you feel a familiar shift in the air. You look back at him and note that he’s struggling to confess something to you.
“Ironic how?” you ask.
“If you recall,” Loki delays. “My love spell’s binding agent was rose petals.”
“And the spell itself?” you ask with a grin hoping you would finally hear the enchantment after much mystery.
Loki turns away from you and plucks a yellow rose from the nearby bush and hands it to you.
“A yellow rose petal for friendship…”
Another rose is plucked.
“...a white one for youth…”
You smile as he hands you a red rose and then a blue one.
“...a red rose petal for love and a blue one for truth.”
He stops and looks down at you with apprehension and love too.
“My lover can hear my call from a mile away. She laughs when she cries. She knows how to bring a smile on my face and when I tell her a lie. Her power is as great as mine, even greater if she tries and she…”
Loki lifts your hands, palms facing upward, revealing two very distinct scars that you’ve both grown to love. He kisses them both.
“...she carries the sun and the moon in the palm of her hands in a way I don’t understand.”
You laugh and quickly lean forward to kiss him. He’s warm and soft and you swear you see stars. Loki sees them too and he thanks them for bringing you two together.

Chapter 12 Excerpt:
Doctor Chisaki opened the door to his home, only to see your flustered face staring right at him. Your lips were puffy from being worried by gnawing teeth. Your hands were clenched tight to the soft fabric of your tiered, ruffled dress. Your eyes were wet with frantic tears.
“Oh thank heaven you’re back Kai!”
The ever poised doctor damn near dropped his keys on the floor.
“W-” He coughed to hide the stammer. “What is it?”
You held up your notes and stabbed your finger furiously into one page. “T Cells!” you squeaked in a voice of utter panic. The tears started to well in your eyes again. “I can’t remember T Cells!”
Ah… the test must be tomorrow.
Kai’s practiced smile was flawless and calm. “Of course,” he agreed in a smooth soothing tone.
At first, he worried you’d spot it, but the way your shoulders relaxed told him you were too far gone into an utter panic to know or care. Clearly, the pregnancy hormones were having their effect. Not two days ago you’d been composed and flippant about the exam. Now, you needed direction before you slumped to the floor in a nervous meltdown. It made his heartthrob. If there was one thing Kai loved, it was telling his nurse exactly what to do.
“You’re too flustered to learn like this,” he stated in a tone that sounded identical to his psychiatrist. “You can’t retain anything if you’re panicking.”
You wiped your eyes with the back of your hand and whimpered out a broken: “Yes, Kai.”
Oh fuck… Did those words really just come out of your mouth? The doctor's cock was at half-mast in an instant.
“Why don’t you make some tea and I’ll get dinner started. After you’ve had a short break, we’ll get this straightened out.” He raised an eyebrow and tried to hide his erection behind his bag. “Okay?”
With your emotions careening up and down on, you nodded with a sniffle. As you retreated down the hallway, greedy eyes watched the way the fabric of your skirt clung to your backside. The thought of you sitting in his lap on that soft rump was enough to make him lick his lips. Half distracted by the curve of your hips, he pumped the hand sanitizer so hard that some of it sprayed on the floor. With a curse, he was forced to clean it up.

Agoti's future S/o getting his attention during a concert
The concert was packed. Fans were going wild as Agoti took the stage and didn't calm down even as the show went on. You found it hard to hold up your little sign, just a picture of Agoti's name in a cool font.
people were hopping up on friends shoulders for a good view, ladies were flashing their breasts. He was loving the attention and his performance was hyped.
You looked around and then got a glorious idea.
Agoti continued his set, fueled by his fans being thirsty for him. Then all of a sudden, your sign was up in the air and the moment the rapper looked at it he couldn't even speak.
The music went on without him and instead of singing along the digidevil burst into the laughter. You had drawn crudely drawn boobs on the back of your sign and it got his attention perfectly.
There was mass confusion and Sol was backstage angry as fuck that Agoti just stopped everything to laugh for seemingly no reason.
He will apologize and continue the show shortly. But first he'll ask you to Aldyrx or Sol to go find you. He has to meet you. He has to. You made him laugh, and that's important to him.
You're brought backstage in the middle of the show, nervous as you watch from backstage.
When you finally meet Agoti he smirked and points to your sign, "Nice boobs."
Sol can't believe THAT is what made him stop singing in the first place. Aldryx is equally as amused by your sign.
You and Agoti become good friends and eventually more than that, and he keeps your sign on his wall as a poster.
I left reader gender pretty fully ambiguous and tried to leave it easy to project onto without the reader’s dialogue being written or any descriptions of them. Imagine you replied whatever you would like to have said to Frodo. I also hopped on and used LOTRO for the locations of things so they’d make sense. Please enjoy the short and sweet one shot. The day was warm as you and Frodo hurried over the rolling hills of the Shire back towards Bag End, or more correctly, towards the Appledore orchard. You had both gotten permission to pick apples to your heart’s content by Gaffer Gamgee, so long as you brought a basket of them back to him as well.
“It was nice of Mr. Gamgee to let us pick some apples. He does such good work in our gardens, so, it’s not surprising he can get such plentiful harvests on the apple trees as well,” Frodo said and smiled at you- an expression you returned in earnest.
Arriving at the orchard you stopped by the stone wall surrounding the property to get the ladder that was laying out on the ground against it. You carried it along to one of the trees holding the bottom steady so Frodo could climb up and start to gather some of the delicious fruits you had come for. While he worked the two of you chatted about everything and nothing to fill the quiet in the air and keep your minds occupied. You learned of some new books he was enjoying and he heard of a new recipe you had tried recently. It was a peaceful way to make the work pass.
It took longer than you thought to fill Gamgee’s basket letting the sun that was warm before drift to blistering. Wiping some sweat from your face as you helped Frodo down the ladder, you both settled in the shade to finally enjoy your well-earned treat. Leaning back against the tree you almost started to nap before Frodo spoke up with a serious tone.
“Hey, I wanted to say… thank you. For being my friend. It’s not always easy what with my Uncle’s reputation and all the rumors those like Lobelia like to start about us. I appreciate that you don’t put any stock in them,” He said with a sincere smile and when you tried to brush it off he reached over and squeezed your shoulder.
“Plus, since you’re my best friend and all, you get to carry the apple basket back! It’s the best friend’s honor.” He said slyly as he hopped up to start running ahead leaving you to carry the heavy basket back with a playful shout after him which only earned you a laugh in return but you didn’t mind too much since he was your best friend after all.
