I messed up last years attempt, but have learnt my lessons ( daily misting required while tiny , added a hear mat , AND .. ventilation holes in the recycled take out container ) and am trying again. Note to self... chop up the fall brush b4 adding to the compost heap.. or don't add it till spring! What a chore that was , my 3 pile compost become 1 giant one again.. so today I started the remodel.. it will eventually have 4 bays, all separate for maximum composting and organizing. First step, find a corner to start... as a bonus I screened the remaing 4 inches and received a wheelbarrow full of black gold!! My new spring bulb/perennial herb garden is coming back to life.. sadly the crocuses have already died off.. but more life is coming! Sadly, the daffodils are no longer cage free! Damn squirrels.. trying this out to see if I can actually have a nice spring display. 60 bulbs in so far, just a few more to go.
