Hello and Welcome!

Welcome beautiful person! It brings me so much joy that you have found your way here :) My obsession with, and deep love for YR is just continuing to grow; I figured I would introduce myself a little more properly to y'all! You can call me Rambo :) I'm in my 30's and use she/her pronouns. I am very proudly queer; I don't define myself past that! You can read my much more rambling introduction below if you are interested!

I sort of just stumbled upon YR and it has brought so much joy and excitement and creativity back into my life. Everything about YR is so beautiful, so thoughtful, so lovingly done; I just want to always be surrounded by its warmth. YR gave me so many thoughts and feelings, I didn’t want to contain them anymore; welcome to where they have found their home!

***Update*** YR has truly unlocked something in me and has continued to inspire me to write. I have several fics now, so please check them out if you are interested! They are true works of love, and something I am incredibly proud of 🫀

No One Else Can Break My Heart Like You is my first fic and is completed. It is canon compliant post Season 1; it was written before the release of Season 2. It is a story about Simon and Wille finding their way back together and how music binds them together and holds them while they are apart. Each chapter alternates POV between Wille and Simon. I have also broken apart this story into two parts; Wille's POV only and Simon's POV only.

I Play For Keeps And I Don't Lose is a fic exploring some missing moments between Episode 5 and Episode 6 of Season 2. It is just 2 chapters, Simon's POV and Wille's POV.

When I Live My Dream, I'll Take You With Me is my current WIP. It is a canon compliant Season 2 fic depicting some missing moments as well as a lot of introspection. Each chapter alternates POV's between Wille and Simon.

I Was Lost Until I Found Me In You is my other current WIP. It is an aged up AU. This AU takes place when Wille and Simon are 25. Simon never went to Hillerska and they never met. Simon is a singer; Wille is still Crown Prince. They meet and have a passionate, fiery, one-night stand and that is the end of it, at least that is what they both intended to have happen. Each chapter alternates POV between Simon and Wille. I have also broken apart this story into two parts; Simon's POV only and Wille's POV only.

Apparently it’s a two-player video game called A Way Out. Made by a Swedish game studio. It’s about two convicts who are trying to break out of prison and have to cooperate to do so.

Simon and Ayub play the exact same video game in 1.01!

The flashback footage (of Erik giving Wille the snow globe while they were playing video games) was originally filmed as part of 1.01. It was cut from S1, and then the footage used as a flashback in 2.02. That’s why Wille still has his Season 1 haircut in the flashback. And I don’t think Ivar Forsling got paid any extra, since the scene had already been filmed before his character died.

So canonically, in the same episode, Wille and Simon played the same game with their brother/best friend figure and their best friend respectively. Before Simon and Wille had even met each other .

Today has been so long, and so anxiety filled 😢 Finding this when I finally got home from work truly made my whole day turn around!!! THANK YOU 🫀🫀🫀

It makes my heart overflow knowing that you came and found me!! I LOVE talking with people, and so frequently I don't know how to find them here, so am always overjoyed when they find me, so again, thank you!!!

I do have more planned, but full discloser, after many many rewatches of Kiseki, I got side tracked by the always present (for me 😂) My Beautiful Man rabbit hole 😁 Once I finish this rewatch, I am planning to go back to Kiseki and write at least one more chapter!!

I am also trying to finish a few WIPS for other BL's that I just haven't gotten around to posting, so I hope one of those will appeal to you too!!

What are your thoughts on sad endings and character deaths on media? I guess it can be cathartic for the characters and the viewers when written and executed well. But I cannot help gravitate towards happy endings and wanting to see everyone doing well. I was thinking about Laws of Attraction and how it could end next week given that it has not shyed away from going sad and dark since the beginning.

I don't like sad endings. I am not a fan and I fear them deeply. The only show I'm currently in that I am expecting a sad ending from is Only Friends because I fully expect shit to blow up in that one.

I think LOA will give us a good ending. Not perfect, possibly more open and hopeful than happy... but I think the ending will be a good one. Might I be wrong? Sure.

But I don't like sad endings. I don't like unhappy endings. I, frankly, barely even like open endings. I wanna believe in their happily ever afters and I wanna enjoy that like a bow on top when the show ends.

No second seasons, no sad endings, very few open endings. Give me joy and happiness and love!

Character death is my least favorite thing ever and too many gay characters have died as sacrifices to kill off couples and the fact that it's getting a bit more common now is so sad to me. I've seen in from every country at this point and I want ti to go away again! No more death!

I am going to be honest here and describe the ending I want for Only Friends that will make me happy and thus will never happen.

I want Ray and Sand to be happy and for everyone else to be miserable and alone. Okay, not everyone. But close.

Let's describe the ending.

We pan across Yo's bar. Plenty of happy people, lots of drinks, familiar faces, happy couples... We see Mew, at trivia, by himself at a table with a growing pile of undrunk shots in front of him as he answers the questions. Top is at the bar behind him. There is a moment of eye contact and then they both look away as quickly as they can and back to their respective activities.

There's a momentary shot of Nick, happily flirting with someone (or someone's) that we catch glimpses of and they look happy and bright and he is smiling and they are all happy and we slowly pan across to Boston in a toilet with someone but there's the sound of the door opening and they shush him, they don't want anyone to know they're fucking and Boston has no control in the situation whatsoever.

We slip back to the bar where Namcheun and April are comfortably drinking and joking and flirting together, being goofy and happy with new friends. They've come out of this mostly unscathed, though with new friends and a new appreciation for who they are.

And then, finally, the camera pans to Sand, waiting next to the bar. He's been performing all night and now he's just waiting. He's smiling a little and he's wearing comfortable clothing and then he brightens all the way up, brilliant as the sun, as the camera pans to Ray walking in. He's a bit unsure, he's looking around like he knows every face is judging him, but he beelines right to Sand and instant starts a stream of little complaints as he grabs at his hands and whines.

Sand laughs.

Sand smiles.

Sand takes Ray's hands and leads him out of the bar, between everyone else, straight out the door before the sun has finished setting and long before closing time.

This is a Terry question, not a GO specific question; I recall while we were both on twitter, just after Terry passed, you corrected a fan who had presumed he was a whimsical, silly lil guy. You said Terry was angry, perhaps even said he was always angry. My question is, as his close friend, did you ever observe how Terry avoided being consumed by anger during his life? I too am quite angry and rather debilitated by it of late, and would enjoy a dose of your pointed advice if it suits you.

This article moved me so much. I too am a very angry person, and the last few years it’s just gotten worse as if feels harder and harder to exist in this world. I can only hope to find within myself even a fraction of the “greatness of spirit” he possessed and attempt to let the anger fuel me, instead of making me combust.
