I wanted to do an analysis of this episode's cards because I feel like they're filled with symbolism. I'm working on this as they come out of course, so I'll go in order and post as they come <( ̄︶ ̄)>
First off, as an overall analysis, I'm going to say these cards are probably meant to showcase the characters in the episode's theme. So basically it's showing the whole rogue/suitor dynamic but also speaking a lot of the characters as they are outside of the waves of love situation. I personally think they chose this episode's theme as a love mystery show because that's literally what Tokyo Debunker is about as a whole, and the parts the characters are playing are parallel to how they are in the main story. I don't know if this episode is trying to clear things up for us about the main story, but I think it's the first time in a mission where we are given the choice to doubt one of the ghouls as a "rogue" or basically a traitor. And as we know, there is supposed to be a spy/traitor within the ghouls, although we don't have much information about it yet. Coincidentally we have in the same episode characters that are of suspicion of being the spy (or have some kind of connection with the academy) plus Taiga himself who seems aware of who it is. Alan is very unlikely to be spy but he's connected with the academy and Dante and has had issues with that before, Sho is Hyde's little brother and there's been theories he's the spy, Elias acts suspicious most times and has been shown as deceiving Mc and others (and also has been theorised to be the spy), Ritsu I believe is here for being a lawyer type of character and this kind of storyline plays a lot on justice so having him in it can be of use with his perspective, Haku has also been theorised to be a spy before because of his personality and nature (as well as seeming to go along with the academy at times?) and Taiga is the one who first mentioned there being a spy at all
Elias (Toying Fingertips)
This card is such a strong one to begin with and has so much symbolism (like I think all of them will). First off the most obvious part of all is how he's holding red threads of fate and seeming to be cutting them. Coincidentally he's holding 5 strings, the number of suitors in the show, aka the other characters int he episode. The strings also seem to be shining in his hand but I'm not sure if that's relevant or just how the card is painted to make an effect.
The card name I think also speaks volumes (Toying fingertips). It says enough about Elias' personality and his "cunning" or deceiving behaviour. He's shown us in previous episodes how he's capable of sorta manipulate others and lie without issue to get what he wants (wether it's for a mission or personal gain maybe? His intentions aren't very clear). Even his voicelines in homescreen seem odd at times like he's always hiding something or keeping information to himself.
The iron heart lock I think is also full of symbolism though the only thing I can say is that it may be a representation of his own heart? It's locked in a hard metal cover, with all his secrets and vulnerabilities (This is my thoughts though).
Overall the card ambience is dark with purple hues and a curtain as the background as well as dark roses. This gives off dark romance, hideout and secretive vibes. I feel like a romance with Elias is like this
Ritsu (Romantic Judgement)
Ritsu's card is interesting because he's the least romantic of pretty much all the characters. He's very job oriented, with one goal on his mind and nothing else, and he can seem emotionally detached. Even the name has to do with his role as a lawyer or justice (Romantic judgment). As always, Ritsu is using his logical thinking and laws knowledge to understand romance or go through this episode by trying to stick to rules and clear thinking. I also have to say I'm not as well versed in his character so my thoughts might not be the greatest haha
There's watches all over the place, this is an interesting symbolism to me even though Ic an't say 100% what it means. But there's different watches one is even in roman numbers. 4 in total, I can't tell if the number is relevant. Maybe the watches are related to the judgment of his card name or about how his whole character works, justice. Because only time can tell the truth of things, and judgment can only be given with time
The rose he's holding should be mentioned too, it's obviously an important part of the card if not the most. It's a seemingly fading rose like the one's in the episode I believe (The ones they have to convert with points), that's turning dark. This might mean Ritsu is mainly focused on the points and the roses system, his main goal is getting points but also figuring out who the rogue is. He's always been a character that focuses on doing things right and sticking to a course of action that he believes goes along the laws and the rights of the situation. Maybe that's also what the watches are for, that he's so focused on one point of view he doesn't realise time goes by and he's not seeing the whole picture of things? (I might be going crazy with that one)
Overall the card is very light blue with yellow tones and a wall int he background that mimics open space. I think this card is showcasing Ritsu's oblivious and relatively innocent view on things. He's a character that thinks following rules and doing what's right is the way to fix everything, he's pretty pure in that sense. He's not even that type of lawyer that will bend rules or act in underhanded ways, he just believes firmly in justice. A love with him is probably that way, logical but free off doubts and firm believes
