oh boy i just had an Adventure™ in minecraft 

so, i was exploring the map and i was pretty far away from my home base, basically using a boat to cross deep ocean biomes and investigating islands and smaller landmasses and such 

one of the islands i came across had an ABSURD amount of wolves roaming about. “holy shit,” i thought, “this swamp biome is full of free dogs.” 

so of course i go on a wolf-taming spree. i wasn’t paying attention to how many i was amassing. by the time i’d covered the island, i had a pack of about twenty dogs in my entourage. 

i think, ok, perhaps it’s time to go home, at least so i can leave some of these pups in a safe place while i keep exploring. 

problem: there’s a huge fucking ocean between Dog Island and the continent my home base is on. 

my stubborn ass thinks, “ok. ok. dogs can swim. we’ll FORD this river ocean.” 

this, obviously, did not go well. the dogs are v good swimmers, but also very slow, and if i get too far ahead of them, they don’t catch up, because they can’t teleport to the player if you’re not on land. it took forever to get to the nearest small island, and i’d lost about a third of my dogs. 

“i need a better plan,” i think to myself. i mean, i could abandon this ridiculous ‘transport 20+ dogs at least 5000m across multiple deep ocean biomes to my home base’ idea and find some free dogs closer to home. i mean, they’re not really that hard to find. but these are my dogs. i gave them bones and now they love me. i must not abandon them. 

…and that’s how dog water skiing was born:

anyway, by the time i got to the next landmass, i hadn’t lost any more dogs. success!

and not only had i not lost any more dogs, but this new landmass was ALSO full of free dogs. and i still had some stacks of bones, which obviously trumps my own sense of self-control. 

fast forward ten minutes:

look at all these pups! and also a really rude spider.

still more pups!

…oh jeez. 

this is basically Homeward Bound, but instead of two dogs and a cat, it’s just me and like thirty goddamn dogs. they were continuously teleporting in front of me, i was tripping all over them. it was chaos. 

now, i should mention, this was a long-ass trek home.  at some point my sword AND my backup sword broke, because frankly i just was not expecting my expedition to last this long and i did not bring a backup backup sword, so i was flailing at creepers with an axe. i definitely lost some good pups, especially since at least half that travel was at nighttime peak monster spawn time. AND i have the Mo’ Creatures mod installed, so not only do i have to worry about the standard monsters, but also lions, tigers, bears (which are usually pretty chill but apparently can become hostile when thirty dogs suddenly teleport on top of them), manticores, ogres, SPECIAL wolves that instead of being tamable are just Very Angry All The Time, etc. 

but the thing is, i kept finding more free dogs. and, sometimes when i’m walking, two dogs will just breed out of nowhere, so occasionally i’d turn around and there’d be a puppy. who did this. we’re, like, climbing a mountain here. control yourselves  

anyways, by the time i got back to my home base, i counted forty-eight doggos. 

just look at these Good Dogs. i couldn’t get them all to fit in the frame. 

i have nowhere to put them. i feel like Roger and Anita at the end of 101 Dalmatians. 

all i know is i love every single one of them.

Once my friend Henry was accused of wearing wireless headphones by a substitute so she said for him to hand them over so he took them off and handed them to her. Then later on she asked him a question and he didn’t respond so she said it louder and he still didn’t respond. She asked why he was not responding and he said “I can’t understand you ma'am, you took my hearing aids.”

one time we had a sub that was handing back papers and called my name. I asked if someone could grab it for me and she started mocking me for not even standing up. taunting me asking why I was not walking up to the front to get the paper myself.

My sister once had her insulin pump ripped off of her because her exam proctor (a sub) thought it was some cheating device. He soon figured out that it was, in fact, not, when the port on her side (the place the needle goes in) started bleeding through her shirt. Her pump started beeping frantically, because that’s what it does, and it was general chaos until my sister ripped what’s basically her pancreas out of his hands, told her friend “Let the next proctor know I’ll need extra time,” and walked out of the room towards the nurse.

Literally schools are shit with disabilities. In elementary school I was having a high blood sugar reaction(cold sweats to rapid passing in and out of consciousness, vomiting and finally leading to a massive seizure before you die) and I KNEW I had to go to the nurse cuz I was getting worse. Kept telling my teach I needed to go and he kept saying no till finally I felt myself about to throw up and I’m screaming LET ME GO (i was a little kid to me i couldnt do anything in an institution without an adults say so or id basically go to hell) and the bitch said SHUT YOUR DAMN MOUTH AND PAY ATTENTION TO THE LESSON where I proceeded to projectile vomit all over my desk and he jut kept going on with the lesson. Finally I just booked it out of the room but I was too far gone to even REMEMBER where the nurses office was let alone where the hell I was that my class literally just left and helped me to the nurses office. I immediately went to the hospital and officially died for 5 minutes before I was revived. I could have stayed dead all because some fuck twad thought his lesson was more important than a students life

After Columbine, a local school installed metal detectors and made everyone walk through them and put their bags on a table for a teacher to search. 

A few days into the school year, a teacher ripped a boy’s insulin pump off him because she thought it was a weapon, despite he and his sister insisting it was an insulin pump and he needed it to live.

I don’t know how many of you are still in school but I have some valuable knowledge that might actually help with this problem! In the United States there’s this thing called a 504 Plan that you can get which basically gives you legal protection from disability/chronic illness discrimination in public schools. 

Students can qualify for 504 plans if they have physical or mental impairments that affect or limit any of their abilities to: walk, breathe, eat, or sleep; communicate, see, hear, or speak; read, concentrate, think, or learn; stand, bend, lift, or work

 Examples of accommodations in 504 plans include: preferential seating, extended time on tests and assignments, reduced homework or classwork, verbal, visual, or technology aids, modified textbooks or audio-video materials, behavior management support, adjusted class schedules or grading, verbal testing, excused lateness, absence, or missed classwork

 I’m a type one diabetic and my school nurse would do stuff like keep all my meds in a locked cabinet, not let me take my insulin or test my blood sugar unless she was watching me, and lie to my mother about me inducing low blood sugars in order to get out of class. She wouldn’t even let me keep glucagon (emergency sugar injection) on my person in case I passed out from low blood sugar. 

 So one day I casually mentioned all this to my endocrinologist and she was really mad. She was really angry at the school nurse for mistreating me like that and informed me of this thing called a 504 plan. A 504 plan protects students with disabilities and chronic illnesses from discrimination by outlining exactly what a student needs to meet their special needs. For me, this meant I had to be able to keep ahold of my own meds in case of emergency and keep track of my own glucose levels, that I would never be marked late for a class if I was busy treating a low, and I could pause the clock on a standardized test to check my blood sugar and treat it. If you have a disability and you’re still attending public school, PLEASE read up on 504 plans because they saved me so much grief when I was still in school. It might help you too. So many that I actually dropped out of university after 3 weeks in 2016 and had to take the whole year off. Man reading the comments is kinda disheartening because people don’t seem to see what this video is trying to say.

This isn’t saying you shouldn’t speak up for what’s right. It’s about getting so caught up in your own beliefs that you think that people are purposefully trying to be malicious, and instead crying “Social Justice” as a pretense for actively trying to prove people wrong and make yourself look better. This isn’t to say that you can’t look at things critically or voice your opinion, but it is true that many people try to “call out” small things that people say that most likely wasn’t even intended to be malicious. Trying to unlearn prejudices is a work in progress for everyone.

And honestly this video is so accurate regarding the culture that this website has produced in regards to social justice. I do support social justice, but there is a better way of sending your message than just shouting at others who didn’t even intend to be mean or ignorant in the first place. You’re lucky to have this kind of access to knowledge because you have access to the internet. Knowledge is power, but it should empower you to share it with others and educate them instead of trying to degrade people.

I’m a Bisexual WoC with a limited amount of money. I get it. There’s so many things to be upset about in a world that hasn’t leveled the playing field. And I’ve dealt with some really difficult people and mindsets. But your own passion shouldn’t overshadow your compassion. Pick your battles wisely.

The audience for Gumball I believe is like 8-14 and while I highly doubt all kids are like this, it is very likely lots of kids have actually heard lingo and jargon like that from spending time on the internet.

I feel like maybe it was a bit of a mistake on their part but I don’t doubt that most kids who like Gumball and who have some kind of interaction with social media in general can understand what’s actually happening and what the characters are saying.

Even taking that away, still to a kid even if they didn’t understand what was being talked about, it would just look like the cactus girl was saying something simple and Gumball blew it out of proportions and tried to fight her when previously she was just trying to point something out or help, which on its own is a simple message to understand.

Romanticizing mental illness, and encouraging self-diagnosis(which is dangerous to one’s health).

Showing people how to LIE to get a diagnosis of autism.

Glorifying murderers and making excuses for women who commit acts of assault.

Routinely threatening and victim-blaming rape victims that don’t hold all men responsible for what happened to them.  Have even more from another user regarding the same post.

Bullying someone off of tumblr for not tagging the color blue that is THE DEFAULT COLOR OF TUMBLR.

Telling people that they’re not allowed to represent THEIR OWN CULTURE.  The same has happened regarding hijabs as well.

Thinking it’s the least bit okay to record total strangers and post the videos online to demonize them.

Trying to force content creators to cater to THEM instead of creating what they want to.

Actually trying to convince people that air conditioning is sexist.  It worries me that there are three separate sources for this.

Calling in false bite reports in order to get someone’s domesticated pet taken away and euthanized, simply because they were against the owners having it for a pet.

Trying to turn a holiday established by a woman into a “patriarchal conspiracy”.

Constantly trying to hijack tragedies, and try to use them as a political step stool, regardless of the feelings of the families and friends of the deceased (including literally erasing the fact that there were twice as many male victims as female in the Elliot Rodger case, and even claiming they were “accidental” killings , when three of them were his first victims, and were stabbed to death, and despite that Rodger himself expressed a hatred of men, as well as an intent to kill “anyone in sight”).  On top of that, his blog was filled with posts about how much he hated full-blooded Asian men.

Someone on here is currently facing jail for pushing razorblades in front of their suicidal sister, and telling her to kill herself for having “straight-passing privilege”.

Here’s someone who not only had a knife sent to their home address with a note reading “Please kill yourself”, but someone also called 911, and gave a false report saying that he was suicidal.

Here’s someone that had a false police report filed on them, and had to stop the SWAT team from entering his house.

Here’s someone who had a syringe sent to their home address.

Here’s someone asking a young mother if her infant child has died yet.

The same people also tried to illegally have said mother’s husbanddeported.

SJWs from this site caused a woman to lose her job, because they decided to harass her boss via email (she has since gotten her job back).   Why?  For making comics based directly on interactions she witnessed on tumblr, complete with links to those interactions as sources.

Here’s a teenage girl trying to take a little boy’s attempted suicide, and make it all about her. Mind you, she and her followers are people that perpetrate the exact same kind of bullying that this boy tried to end his life over.  And they still continue to do it.

Here are her followers threatening people with death and violence over things as pointless as fandom polls.

People on tumblr were the ones who CAUSED the “raid” on tumblr by trying to “#shutdown4chan”.  4chan became bored after a single night, while tumblr continued crying like babies, and making false claims that people on 4chan were “being arrested by the FBI”.

the term ‘passing’ was, iirc, used to describe african americans whose skin and facial features were light enough that they could escape from slavery to somewhere else and live in a state of constant fear of being found out.

people who could ‘pass’ did not have any sort of privilege; they simply lived out their oppression in different ways. they still suffered at the hands of the system that had been built to subjugate them.

arguing that anyone who is oppressed has ‘passing privilege’ is fundamentally misunderstanding what passing is and how dangerous it is.

a trans woman who ‘passes’ for a cis woman is in as much danger of being a victim of violence, of being murdered, as her non-passing sisters, especially if a cis man feels ‘tricked’ into finding a ‘man’ attractive.

a bisexual man who ‘passes’ for heterosexual is more likely to be abused by hetero and homosexual partners, who will then blame his sexuality for dissatisfaction in the relationship.

a ‘high functioning’ neurodivergent person will suffer the same lack of accommodations as a ‘lower functioning’ person with the same disability, but will be expected to achieve more because they aren’t ‘really’ affected by it.

passing means having your struggles erased or considered ‘lesser’ because there’s a chance that you could be seen as ‘normal’ in the eyes of passersby.

this is not a privilege. it’s living your life in terror of being found out. it’s being denied access to the community and services that claim to support you.

it’s oppression in its most insidious form; it pretends that you have gained something positive through the way you experience oppression.

The best thing you can do for a false report is not reblog it at all, OR start your own post to debunk it, with a link to the original. If you reblog to debunk it, your reply will get lost in the huge amount of notes, and you will just end up spreading the misinformation further.

Sometimes a totally unlikely story turns out to be true! It’s even more fun to reblog it when you’ve confirmed that it’s real.

Help us Please

So some shit has gone down and my family needs your help. 

My fiance Mrikul attempted to go on disability leave from his place of work for a month a half in order to get his newly diagnosed Fibromyalgia and severe anxiety, as well as a flurry of other diagnoses that have come out in the last two weeks (depression, inflammatory arthritis, continued soft tissue damage, recovery from abuse to name the most pressing.) 

His work at first tried to only approve him for one week off for management of the Fibromyalgia symptoms, and instructed him to apply for more time as part of the anxiety diagnosis and get his psychologist to do a write up proving his case. 

He’s been working so hard on pain management techniques, stress management and going to multiple doctors appointments, specialists, lab work, bone scans and therapy appointments ever since he took the time off in order to try and get things back together. 

We thought everything was all good to go as we hadn’t heard back from his HR person (to boot HR is in a different province and they have had to be corrected a number of times on how disability laws work differently in our province). We got notice that his HR person felt that his psychologist was ‘biased’ and that he would not be approved for disability and he was to to return to work asap.

 He has barely come down from a panic attack since, they have also decided to not pay him for the past month that they kept him as ‘pending’. We have 500$ of our 1100$ rent. We just need 600$ to cover this month. 

I’m able to send surprise organic soap bundles (3 bars) for donations of over 20$ (I just need a screen shot)
