So, in your AU, all the humans in the circus are just puppets or did Caine just based them on the troupe?

Caine just based his puppets off of the troupe :)

In this AU, Caine has autism and a hard time making friends, so making stories about them and designing characters inspired by his cast-mates is how he tries to connect with others. Unfortunately, others don’t really understand or appreciate this about him.

I thought this idea really closely paralleled what actually happens in the show. Plus, I thought it was cool to incorporate how their digital bodies represent who they are as people- in this case, how Caine sees them.

But basically, his special interest is puppeteering and theatrics, and probably old timey movies and circus themes too :3

Did you know human! Caine has puppets other than Bubble? He makes them himself, you know! They’re totally not inspired by people he knows in real life, err… any resemblance is purely coincidental..!

Yes in this human AU, Caine is actually a very talented puppeteer... Fanart of that coming soon mwehehe >:3c I like to imagine Bubble was the first puppet he made, like an imaginary friend as a kid. His parents thought he would grow out of it but, uh... If anything, it's just gotten worse.. (Why does it swear now??) Caine thinks his puppets are incredibly charming and funny, and he doesn't see how anyone could find them off putting or strange..!!! (Even when Bubble says crazy things..)
