Now what is Tamasha!?

Hey hey tumbleweeds! It's me everyone's favorite, The God of Chaos and Chance! But that's too formal just call me CC!

and Tamasha! is my fr*cken super sweet Tabletop RPG I made, because you know...I saved the world and everything is boring again! So I wanted to encourage a bit of tourism of the new world I saved and hopefully get enough impassioned fools to get into trouble so I can get some dang entertainment!

The Rakshasa Empire

This one goes out to the city gurls! The Rakshasa Empire is the economic powerhouse of Khaad, and it's got quite the history!

The Rakshasa continent was chock full of the biggest and nastiest monsters on the whole planet, but the Crossroads was too boring and full of gossipmongers for these pioneers so they struggled mightily to survive on this hostile environment. Not that I wasn't trying to help! I gave out magic and hints and even revived some dead people (they ended up with animal heads it's a long story) but they were unable to establish a permanent settlement until the Empress burst onto the scene!

She was so skilled at earth magic she was able to pull a whole city a mile high from the loamy soil of the dense jungles. And the rest of her party was also there...i mean they did a lot when it came to fighting monsters and assuaging the gods of the land but they're just not on that queen shit ya know?

The Empress created the Magic colleges that produced a steady stream of magic engineers who make life better by building vehicles, reconstructing old technology or producing magical items to improve daily life. Tragically they also produce wizard ministers who only create draconian zoning laws and BS rules and regulations. But people tend to not be too upset about that because they love the Empress so much however... That might be changing when you're having your first adventure in-between the walls of their grand cities.

Lower City Rebels

So what is the best and the worst thing about living the Capital City?

"Best thing is the sense of community and camaraderie, the worst thing is the thieves union"

There's a union in the empire?

"Haha, very funny, I'm trying to get more unions set up here buddy so watch ya mouth!"

ok ok but why is the Thieves Union troubling such an upstanding member of the violent proletariat?

"Because the Union is the solution for every at-home problem the Empire has: you got orphans? The union raises them, trains them and keeps them off the streets, you need spying done? The Union has ears in every shadow, some rich merchant wants to squeeze his ass into local politics? The Union loves a heist, especially if it includes an assassination at the end, that's like dessert to those creeps."

well damn, they seem real formidable, how do you deal with them if they're so everpresent?

"There's plenty of tricks of the trade, but the key is Emotional damage. Everyone knows thieves have both mommy AND daddy issues so you just feel around for the right insult to get em off balance, then you grab em! Most get pretty obedient once you crack a rib or two. :D"

The Badlands

Every time I list out the different districts on my wonderful world everyone always wants to ask about The Badlands. And then when I tell them that it's a bad place where hope goes to die, they start smiling! And then I tell them there's a forever war between dead gods who kidnap the living to serve them until they're husks of their former selves everyone's like "Woaw"

And then they say the thing, "I wanna go adventuring in The Badlands! There's gotta be something amazing hidden over there!"

And now look at you: lost, dying, goofy. "Oh but I was right! There's a bunch of magical items over here" shaddap you're literally being converted into nutrients by a living building... goofy!

Shambala

Let's talk about Heaven on Earth.

Well it's not really heaven and it's not really Earth is it? Shambala was established in the massive mountain range between the Griftwood Docks and the Yamuna Junction, the founder? The greatest musician who ever lived! Who wanted to create a place where there was no strife and no danger, a safe place for artists to gather and support each other and not have to worry about the problems of the outside world...like when you get high in your cool grandma's basement.

Well by the time that great musician dropped dead, a lot of new genres had been created and re-invented so it was MUCH harder to determine who the "best" was so the local farms took charge of the day to day runnings of the district and just made a bunch of contests to keep the musicians busy.

The high concentration of musitans makes the Nae Devta (or new gods if your tongue isn't nimble enough) quite docile as they are happy to lay aside their ambitions and just enjoy being in the embrace of the mountains being seranaded by the sounds of new tunes from all over.

Hello, incredibly attractive reader! I am the last God left alive and I need your help.

100 years ago, Earth was being destroyed by humans… what a twist, huh? Well this time was super extra bad and the Gods got all moody and depressed about it. So hopeless they became they fell into decline with their favorite anxiety ridden primates. I, most beautiful and knowledgeable God of Chaos and Chance (you can call me CC), decided that was a fucking stupid idea. So, I decided to save (some of) humanity out of the “kindness” of my “heart.”

I brought them to a new planet and gave them magic so we could carve out a new home on this hostile world. And after many years…We did it! We’ve got amazing cities, globe spanning trade routes, radios, cell phones, airships, oh my! Sure, the people I saved aren’t really humans anymore, they’re better! Stronger and kinder to each other AND to their fellow intergalactic refugees (I hired some extra help, don’t worry about it). Society had rebuilt from the ashes in a more harmonious and productive way. And I can’t have that! What do I look like? God of Reasonable Compromises and Public Transportation? NO! THEY’RE DEAD! So I want you and your friends to start making some mayhem in my new world so I can have some fucking entertainment. So I made you a fun little Tabletop RPG and I'll even walk you through the whole thing so you can cause problems on purpose even if you’re new.
