Tekko 2017 was amazing
Whew... been a long time since i’ve been on here. Life has been.... well i’’m alive and that’s what counts. But I will be posting pictures and hopefully the con vlog very soon
My first convention vlog, after oh so many months
This is going out way too late but
due to family and personal problems i cannot be at Otakon this year. my apologies.
This man looks like his body circulates coffee instead of blood.
Me… literally on a daily basis xD
@punkinwonderland except 500 times lovelier of course.
Hi my name is Bitty G’olden Georgia Knowles and I have fluffy golden short hair (that’s how I got my name) with topaz streaks and daffodil tips that reaches my mid-neck and chocolaty brown eyes like creamy hot cocoa and a lot of people tell me I look like Beyoncé (AN: if u don’t know who she is get da heck out of here!). I’m not related to Bob Zimmermann but I wish I was because he’s a major fucking hottie. I’m a baker but my arms are tough and strong. I have slightly tanned skin. I’m also a hockey player, and I go to a really gay school called Samwell in the Nor’east where I’m in the first year (I’m eighteen). I’m a gay (in case you couldn’t tell) and I wear mostly short shorts. I love Abercrombie & Fitch and I buy all my clothes from there. For example today I was wearing a tank top with matching stripes around it and distressed jean booty shorts, white athletic socks and red converse. I was wearing cocoa butter lip balm, spf 15 sunscreen, my natural peachy blush and Southern charm. I was walking outside the Haus. It was sunny and clear so there was no cold, which I was very happy about. A lot of jocks stared at me. I waved politely at them. “Hey Bittle!” shouted a voice. I looked up. It was…. Jack Zimmermann! “What’s up Jack?” I asked. “Nothing.” he said shyly. But then, I heard my friends call me and I had to go away.
Whelp
need me a freak like this
damn and they say romance is dead
Is this a video of Tekko 2016?
Cosplaying PSA
This sincerely has to be known on social media, but as a cosplayer, please remember that you have every right to say no to having your picture taken at conventions. Two of my friends were approached by a man with a film camera today at Tekko and he wanted to take a picture of them. @bathroom-stall-musings was cosplaying as Madoka from Madoka Magica and my other friend was cosplaying as Syo from UtaPri. He then approached us again at a different time and this time, wanted a picture of Madoka and Syo as well as me (Kiki from Kiki’s Delivery Service) and another friend (Lizzy from Black Butler). He looked very sketchy and the casual conversation we had with him just seemed so off. We agreed to have our picture taken, reluctantly, but it was overall a very uncomfortable experience.
Even last year at Tekko, @bathroom-stall-musings was cosplaying as Madoka and a friend was cosplaying as Luka with the magnet cosplay. They were approached by a man and he asked to take a picture of them. He especially spent a lot of time with my friend cosplaying as Luka and asked her to “give a distant look” and strike a sexy pose against a wall.
PLEASE DO NOT FEEL BAD IF YOU SAY NO TO HAVING A PICTURE TAKEN AT A CONVENTION IF THE PERSON ASKING SEEMS SKETCHY.
I dot normally post during the con but I was so happy to meet this amazing toothless!
I survived the Tekko vending machine crisis of 2016.
Well this was a day. As always Mamiyo was a blast to wear, but just as exhausting. Looking forward to some (slightly) lighter cosplays tomorrow. Due to a variety of things including family issues I barely filmed at all. I'll do my best to make up for it tomorrow.
Why is this sideways... My camera wasn't sideways... Why tumblr why.... Anyways I'm half in half out of cosplay and kind of tired. Worth it though!
I really hope a wave of convention energy hits me soon because I'm dead right now
This is what happens when three cosplayers are in one room
Hot Glue Gems
A cheap and easy way to make small to medium sized gems, I used it for the Butterfly Miraculous for Hawkmoth, but it could also be used to Steven Universe Gems. The largest I made was only 3x2cm, but you could experiment with larger ones!
Materials:
Hot glue gun and sticks
Wax/parchment paper and Aluminium foil
Water
Tea-light and matches
Scrap paper
Nail polish or paint
Shaping lumps of glue
So, first you need to make the basic shape/size of the gem you want, on the wax paper or foil.
Originally, I tried just squirting glue into the round size I wanted, then let it dry flat, but although they were very round and smooth, this ended up making very flat gems. This way would work with small gems (like 1cm circles or less)
In my second try, I basically put another layer on top of the previous flat gems. This did work, but ended up very messy and rough. I also tried making a smaller flat gem, then immediately putting a second round layer and then plunging it into water, this did work I guess, but was still flat
My last try ended up with the best shape but the messiest looking. For this, I squired a big blob of glue onto a flat gem, then immediately pressed foil on top of it, smoothing it and shaping it. It can get hot, so be careful. You can shape a mould out of foil by shaping it around something in the shape, and this can then be filled with glue.
After making these gems, I realised they were not going to be nice and smooth and look good ehn painted.
Smoothing and shaping
For this, you basically smooth the gem out by heating sections of it over a tea-light. If the gem is not super bumpy and messy, just heating it should be enough to round out the top.
If your gem is quite messy, or you want to shape it a bit more, heat sections over the flame and then immediately drag the gem across the scrap paper. This drags the excess glue around and under, making the edges look very neat and nice!
Then, just paint the gem (I used nail polish) and you are done!
This isn't exactly an "on a budget" addition, but mod podge makes these really cool molds that come in a variety of themes. Some of them have fantastic gem shapes, and they go for about $6 each. Definitely worth the investment in my opinion, as they can be used for hot glue, resin, sugar gems, and anything else really!
hey judy maybe thats just where he hangs out
hahaha!!
garlic memes??? i feel like his has such a niche audience but i feel it
