very cool and awesome [read: sickening and fucked up] that so many disabled people are afraid to dress certain ways, go to certain places, or even share photos of themselves because us existing at all is so often approached the same way public indecent exposure and sex tapes/nudes are
“People won’t suggest you go without your wheelchair if you’re a full time wheelchair user”. Sometimes they don’t suggest, sometimes they’ll just take it.
I need people who think that I’m better off because nobody questions if I meet the eligibility criteria for a wheelchair to understand, and I mean really understand, how horrifying and traumatic it is to have your only source of mobility taken away by someone who wants to hurt you.
Once my ex took my wheelchair she took full control over my body. Where I went, what (if anything) I was allowed to wear, when I was allowed to go to the bathroom, when I was allowed to eat. It meant when she wanted to use my body for sexual gratification she could just do it. If she was angry and wanted to scare or hurt me, then I was a sitting duck.
Most of that time I was forced to wear nothing except a bra and boxers (she took my clothes and binders and I couldn’t get to them). I was trapped on a mattress on the floor because she took away the bed. Being raped became normal. Severe physical violence became normal. And because I had no one in my life to ask what was really normal, just my ex playing the worst mind games you can imagine while lying about my prescriptions and purposefully overmedicating me so I couldn’t trust my judgement about what was happening.
I’m not the only one who has experienced this.
wishing every disability fetishist a very Die
i dunno guys i'm personally still not with it on the mpreg jokes. men can get pregnant, it isn't for comedy relief, let's move on
like listen. i get that the societal expectation for people perceived as women to carry children is hot garbage and we want to retaliate against that. but could we consider that the answer isn't being violently weird about people who want to carry children, regardless of their gender. maybe even stop talking about pregnancy like it's some kind of punishment you have to protect women from and 'joke' about putting on men. that's an option
Urg. Trump admin reducing Grand Staircase Escalante and Bears Ears by 90%. We need land back so badly.

This young coyote was playing around in the dirt, digging and jumping around until he finally found the prize- a tissue or something 😂. It was almost dark, so a little challenging getting the shots. Los Angeles County, June 2026.

idk i would personally rather give up access to certain products seasonally or locally than have people enslaved to give me the ability to have any product any place any time. i think i can go without tomatoes in january.
hey everyone, just curious:
what is everyone's criteria for blocking people?
This is the story of Mira, a dying kitten I rescued. I have started a GoFundMe to help pay for her medical bills as I am in a rough place financially. Her full story is posted on the GoFundMe.
Any support is appreciated, either through donations or shares 💖
Thank you for taking the time to read my little comic~ have a lovely day! ✨

anyway. amab does not mean that someone has or has ever had a penis and testes.
afab does not mean that someone has or has ever had a vulva and a uterus.
stop using an event that happened at birth where doctors put a letter on a birth certificate as indicative of someones genitalia.
settlers are always so enthusiastic about ''foraging'' and then you'll start talking to them about indigenous horticulture & sustainable harvesting practices and they quickly reveal that they're more interested in the aesthetic of being a Crunchy Woodland Creature than like reducing their reliance on exploitative industrial agriculture or rebuilding their local foodshed
the sheer amount of fandom, fanfic, and fictional character content in the d/Deaf and hard of hearing tags is staggering. You have to scroll for ages before you even start getting to the deaf cat, let alone actual d/Deaf and hard of hearing users and issues.
this isn't specific to d/Deaf or HoH spaces either, you can barely poke your head into any tag without hitting a wall of fiction. is it that hard to understand that if you believe the internet is a source of connection and sharing knowledge that it's bad to deliberately obstruct that?
Have some basic decency and keep fictional characters in their own tags. It's hard enough for disabled people to have any opportunity to talk about disability or connect with each other without the streams of information constantly contaminated with your favourite blorbos. Let us communicate and share things, for fuck's sakes, without finding ways to make it about fiction. Without finding ways to make it about what you like instead of what others in that space like and need. Sometimes disabled people... actually exist. And are more important than fiction.
On March 27, 1973, Marlon Brando declined the Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance in THE GODFATHER. Native American actress Sacheen Littlefeather attended the ceremony in Brando’s place stating that the actor “very regretfully” could not accept the award, as he was protesting Hollywood’s portrayal of Native Americans in film. #OnThisDay #Oscars
