Pakistani Cowgirl (Part III) . . . A cowgirl reimagined in the Sarfaranga Desert in Gilgit-Baltistan 🏜 (Sarfaranga Desert is one of the highest deserts in the world and can see sand covered with snow in cold months!! ❄) This region is home to K2, the world's second-highest mountain! Details within the piece: The hat is decorated with features resembling the traditional style of Gilgit embroidery and jewellery. Rubies and garnet are native to the region and also embellish the hat. Stones such as aquamarine, sapphire and emeralds are also found close to the region in areas such as Swat and are used in the rings on her hands. The cloth draped over the horse underneath the saddle is inspired by Kalashi fabric and embroidery as is the harness around the horse.

Pakistani Cowboy (Part II) . . . A cowboy reimagined in the Cholistan desert 🏜 Details within the piece: The hat is made to resemble the colourful fabrics used for turbans while the fabric attached to the belt is 'ajrak', a design typically associated with Sindhi heritage and also used in Cholistan. The bright fabrics used on the horse are also related to those used in Cholistan (the black markings were something I saw used on camels and found interesting! :) ) Finally, in the distance, there stands the Derawar Fort which is famous in the region and was built in the 9th Century.

The first episode will be up on February 14th, so please do check it out!
A story about a girl who, after giving her heart to the person most dear to her, must learn to live life without a heart. While her emotions fade, her thoughts grow tired and heavy as she tries to navigate life without her quiet compass. Will the hollow space in her chest ever be filled with the sound of heartbeats again, or will she have to find a way to live like this forever?

The Glassworker - Mano Animation Studios
Directed by - Usman Riaz
Pakistan’s First Ever 2D Hand Drawn Animated Film
Currently in Pakistani Theaters as of July 26 International release is coming soon <3
English Trailer || Urdu Trailer
Not enough people here on tumblr are talking about this movie but the director built the entire studio from ground up for this work of art. It's ten years of effort put in by animators, artists, and musicians. It is an ANTI-WAR film with beautiful metaphors and transitions and dialogue. It is an entirely HAND-DRAWN animated film in a country where animation didn't even have the scope before.
The themes of the movie accurately depict even the current world events and the story itself is also very sweet.
The director of this movie was very inspired by Studio Ghibli. Please please make sure to watch the movie as well as the documentary of the making of this film when it comes out in other countries because it makes you feel like you can do anything and achieve any goal no matter how impossible it seems.
ALSO, the director named Mano Animation Studios after his CAT!!!!!!
