Bec | 26 | any pronouns |MDNI, 18+| Just another bg3 blog, mostly OC-focused I sometimes post fic and art when I feel like it :3| main: @becfromthedead
Hi, I'm Bec, just another bg3 player on Tumblr dot com. Made a sideblog so I don't flood my main with bg3 reblogs. This blog is mainly oc-posting. I will also be posting more general dnd stuff from time to time, especially since some of my bg3 ocs are either based on characters I played in campaigns, or went from bg3 to being played in a campaign.
I do art and write some fic, but I don't share a whole lot.
You can see my art here
You can find my writing here
You can find my OCs' cc specs here
Ask box is open. I'd love to answer questions about bg3, dnd in general, my ocs- pretty much anything, really.
Basics about my ocs:
Izzrhys Illith'vir (my main Tav, subject of a majority of art/fic stuff, I'm playing him in a dnd campaign as well)- he/him, drow, oath of devotion paladin (sometimes with 2 levels in life cleric), neutral good. Romancing Gale. Posts tagged oc: izzrhys illith'vir
Aesir Corvus (an actual dnd character I used, used them for my first tactician level bg3 campaign)- they/them, half high elf thief subclass rogue, chaotic good, romancing Wyll. They and Xarek are half-siblings. Posts tagged oc: aesir corvus
Xarek Do'rahel (originally a dnd character I played in a short campaign with my in-laws, turned the Tav for my second attempt at an honor mode playthrough. He won :3)- he/him, half drow fiend patron warlock, chaotic neutral, romancing Karlach. He and Aesir are half-siblings. Posts tagged oc: xarek do'rahel
Tiresias (technically my Curse of Strahd character in a campaign we're never finishing, although I did start a bg3 playthrough with him that I'll maybe see through, especially because he feels very morally different from my other ocs.) he/him, grave domain cleric of Loviatar, lawful evil, no romance selected, if I do pick one at all. Posts tagged oc: tiresias styggr
(Also, side note: I could not find anything that really fit him in cc, so this is as close as I'm getting. I have sketches that I'll post separately.)
Aratris of Thunder Peaks (my first Tav, made for a multi-player campaign), they/them, half-wood elf circle of the moon druid (though they probably spend more time in owlbear form than in humanoid form lmao), true neutral. Halsin romancer, although they did have a thing with Lae'zel. As of right now, it doesn't look like their campaign is ever actually getting finished sadly. Posts tagged oc: aratris of thunder peaks
Leoryn Reysharrana (obligatory bard playthrough???) they/she, high elf lore college bard, chaotic good, romancing Astarion Posts tagged oc: Leoryn Reysharrana
Galatea (My newest oc, a Durge that I would love to flesh out more) she/her, Asmodeus tiefling bladesinger wizard, neutral evil with a shift to chaotic good over time, romance tbd. Posts tagged oc: galatea
Then a couple of other characters who I created, but never really fleshed out:
Talaak (My one and only Dark Urge who is not fleshed out very much oops)- she/her, silver dragonborn storm sorcerer, neutral evil romancing Minthara
Roszira- she/her, a strongheart halfling who I lovingly refer to as the "world's worst Tav". She's multiclassed in everything. Yes, everything. Needless to say, she's incredibly indecisive. I made her to do one of the Steam achievements (multiclass into all classes without using withers) and I know there are a million easier ways to do it, but this has just become my fuck around and get achievements playthrough. Chaotic good. Romancing Shadowheart.
Update: I got so many achievements with Roszira's save file, and after hers, I only had two left, one of which was completing honor mode. Thank you for your service, Roszira. Sorry I turned you into a squid.
One of many lovely and well-curated outfits that Angel performs in at the Cirque of Scarlet Flame. His mother's traveling circus of tieflings made its name for their talent with fire.
Angel, specifically, is a dragon staff dancer, a dagger thrower, and, of course, a singer.
His dragon staff, The Firebird, is wrapped in red silk ribbon to differentiate it from the others.
His daggers, Plot and Twist, are also the weapons he takes on adventures with him. Turns out, you get pretty good with them when you have to miss on purpose at the circus.
Happy Birthday @mogruith !! Thank you so much for being such an incredible friend and making fandom something enjoyable again. You’re one of the sweetest, most talented people I’ve had to pleasure to know. I love you! 💜💜
Under the cut is a maskless version. Coran looks naked without his face paint but he’s still very pretty. Plus who would complain about a naked Coran?
I was asked by @riddlerosehearts to also host/cross-post this event here on tumblr, so here we are, gorgeous! Have fun, go wild, join the party! <3 The event will also be happening on bluesky here! I also set up an AO3 collection for any fics we might feel inspired to write!
Join the party this JUNE with whatever medium you like, be it art, VP, writing or an info post/tavqotd and interpret the prompts however you like! They're here to spark creativity and to tell and celebrate our queer stories together! Yay! :D I'm so excited to be having a big, wonderful party with you!
The event tag is #BG3Pride2026 here as well as on bluesky!
Prompts in ALT text and below the cut! Feel free to ask if you've got any questions!
Wasn't officially tagged on Tumblr but @starlit-serpent tagged me in DMs so I threw one together anyway so I may as well post it. Template under the cut.
This was a tav QOTD prompt from bluesky (originally posted by @redroomroaving on there) that I would love to see people on here answer if they'd like—and please tag me if you do so I can hear about your ships 🥺 I might've gone a little overboard, and honestly could've made this even longer if I wanted, but that's partly because this is something I wanted to make a post about for a long time but I never felt like I had a good enough excuse to write lengthy heartfelt meta about my own OC x canon ship.
The dividers in this post are by @uzmacchiato.
I love so many things about Elenion and Gale I don't even know where to start. Their romance is incredibly healing for both of them because they understand each other's pain so deeply, in ways I didn't plan because I didn't even plan to romance Gale at all. When I met him in-game I just thought that a nerdy lore bard would probably enjoy flirting with a wizard who has a library, but then they became so much more.
Elenion was created as someone who believes he's only valuable as long as he perfectly performs the role of the beautiful, charming, talented, dazzling bard. He slept with hundreds of people as a way of trying to avoid being alone, and to feel desired because he didn't think he could be loved.
And then he met a man who believed he was only valuable as long as he remained a brilliant, gifted, extraordinary wizard. Only to be abandoned by his goddess, and to be left feeling like he wasn't worth loving.
They're two people who both long for someone to see them as they are and still love them… and they give each other exactly that. By the time they met Elenion had already lost himself to fame, and then Gale helped him find his way back. So when Gale nearly loses himself to godhood, Elenion stops him. Together they don't have to be The Wandering Star and Archmage Gale of Waterdeep, they can just be Len and Gale and that's enough.
And them seeing each other so fully and choosing to be vulnerable with each other helps them realize that maybe they aren't inherently broken or unlovable after all. They don't fix each other's wounds but they mirror each other in ways that make it pretty difficult to keep believing that love is something they have to constantly earn, and let them learn to be kinder to themselves in turn. They give each other unconditional presence and safety. They let each other rest.
(…Also I really like that mister "legendary rockstar sex god who thinks love is fake" over here gets flustered when his wizard husband kisses his hand and calls him cute. That's one of my favorite parts of their dynamic because it's ridiculously fun to me. 💙)
Gloom Stalker - Eilistraeean Drow - Swiftest Bow in Waterdeep
A ranger who disappears into the night and shadow. With a longbow that strikes like cannon fire. Best to stay on the receiving end of his kind smile.
A series of lore posts about my D&D and BG3 OCs.
Chapter 1: The Underdark
Chapter 2: The Surface
NOTE: This is largely a repost of Kazimir's previous lore posts from my old blog. It has been edited slightly and I will be continuing with further lore than was posted originally.
Quindelline Littlemoon was born in Farwallow-upon-Dessarin, a small suburb of Waterdeep nestled in a foothill. Not more than 500 people inhabited the village, composed mainly of Lightfoot halflings like her.
Since she was small, Quindelline, or Quin as she preferred, had the taste of adventurer in her heart. Her father, Milo, gifted her a shortbow for her 8th birthday. And it was love at first shot. The little girl found herself at home in nature, on the hunt. Beaming with pride as she brought home rabbits and squirrels to her mother. When she was finally given the opportunity to track a troublesome coyote that tormented their livestock, she knew being a ranger was her life’s calling.
Her calling brought her to the big city as a new adventurer, itching to get her feet wet on contract jobs. She scoured taverns for listings, billing herself as a skilled ranger and tracker. Eventually finding herself ingratiated with others much like her. Fortune and fame seekers, do gooders and devotees of gods she’d never even heard of. And steadily, she learned of the art of horizon walking from rangers far more skilled than she.
Horizon walkers specialized in banishing beings back to the realms they belonged to, and maybe even traveling to these far off realms themselves. Her line of work brought her to the Feywild, the Underdark, and even Avernus on occasion. Guarding planar portals and befriending the benevolent forces of other realms to aid them.
But many of those valiant exploits would come later in her life, when she truly made a name for herself not only as a ranger, but as a friend to many other great adventurers. And as the mother of one very special son.
For this story, we ought to begin in the spring of 1371. Quindelline freshly turned 25 and a wedding just commenced in the heart of Farwallow. Her wedding. To a fellow young halfling by the name of Rosina Tulriner. Rosina was of unique background, the Tulriner name traditionally belonging to gnomes. As such, they were magnificent tinkerers and designers by family business and distant gnomish ancestry.
Rosina herself a jewelry maker, having inherited the trade from her mother, Ida. And her father, Kellen, a finesmith. She originally hailed from Waterdeep proper, operating out of her family’s small basement shop in the North Ward. But she traveled with her mother every year to the surrounding areas to sell their wares and attend artist’s guild events. One of their many stops was Farwallow-upon-Dessarin.
There she met Quindelline. They met each other every after, too, and steadily their close friendship blossomed into love. Rosina was a gentle, even-keeled presence that brought Quin’s fire-filled heart back down to the ground.
However, one question itched in the backs of their minds as they planned their future life together. Halflings put a great deal of importance on creating families. But by marrying another woman, that harried the possibility of biological children. Though it didn't hamper their ability to raise up a child.
Halflings also bore a tradition of adopting children in need to supplement their large families. The women agreed look for children that needed a loving home. As it turns out, they wouldn’t need to look for long.
Quindelline was contracted to delve into the Underdark, hired by a royal alchemist in search of rare ingredients. Her three companions were already familiar to her. A half-drow paladin of Eilistraee, well-versed in the mapping of the Underdark. A tiefling rogue who still owed Quin money from their last card game. And a dragonborn barbarian, large of heart, yet dim of wits.
The quest itself was simple. The party used a planar portal into the Underdark that would put them in the area known to be abundant in the ingredients of their quarry. Once arrived, they camped for several days while searching and collecting. Off in the distance, the lights of Menzoberranzan glowed against the cavernous stones. So long as a distance was kept, the party would be safe from any patrolling drow.
On the last day of their quest, they heard a noise piercing the eerie silence. A baby’s cry. Quindelline and the rogue swept the area for drow or some other cruel trap. When they found nothing, they followed the noise as it waxed and waned. Until they came upon a small cavern.
Laying at its mouth, in a woven reed basket covered with spider’s silk, was an infant. So new that his little wrinkled face was still bruised from birth, it seemed. The remnants of his umbilical cord still clung to his bloated tummy. On his ears, a fine point. The infant was elven.
When the torchlight reached him, they found he was not bruised after all. That was his skin color. He was drow.
His cry grew weaker by the second. Hungry and tired and forgotten. Wailing out in a final effort to save himself.
Quindelline fell to her knees and cleaned the boy of his spider silk. She held him to her chest to try and soothe him, rocking him and cooing to him.
She made it clear that the boy was coming with them to the surface, come hells or high water. The paladin agreed. He helped affix the infant to Quin’s back while he carried her rucksack. They did their best to disguise the infant in layers of swaddling to not arouse suspicion.
Once they made it to the surface, the party let out a collective sigh of relief. They emerged in the forests of the Sword Coast as morning was just breaking over the hills. Quin unwrapped the boy from her back and properly looked him over for injuries. Miraculously, he was safe and sound apart from being filthy and starving. She took him to the river nearby and gave him a proper cleaning. The paladin emerged as she was swaddling him back up to trek back to Waterdeep.
“What will we do with him when we’re back in the city?”
Quin sighed. The rosy pink eyes of the infant staring up as if awaiting her response.
“I imagine you’d like to take him to your people. Back to the Dancing Haven. Raise him up in the Church.”
“I would like that. That doesn’t mean that’s what’s best for him.”
Quin worked at swaddling the boy, letting the paladin continue.
“You just got married, right? That jewelry maker. Rosie, you called her. I remember you talking about her on the last job.”
“I did. Her name is Rosina. Only I call her Rosie. We just bought a home.”
“How many bedrooms?”
“Three,”
“Then it’s settled,”
“What’s settled?”
“The boy. He’s yours.”
Quin’s eyes widened. There was no way he was serious. A drow on the surface was a serious business. Keeping them out of Lolth’s hands and into Eilistraee’s.
“But what of Lolth? What if we interfered with something that's bigger than him,” Quin gestured to the now sleeping bundle, “He needs the Church, he needs you to protect him. We can’t do that alone.”
“And you won’t do it alone. You have me, and you have the Church. They’ll always be there to protect him. But what he needs now is a loving home. The Church will have undying love for this boy, but it isn’t the same. I haven’t the time nor the skill to raise up a child.”
“What makes you think I have the time or the skill to raise him up any better?”
“I know you, Quin. You’re too utilitarian to buy a three bedroom home for all but one of those rooms to sit empty. You’ve a wife, a wife that doesn’t venture out as you do, where I'm single."
Quin smoothed the soft hairs on the infant's head.
“And I know your heart, Quin. I saw the way you went to him. That was your son from the minute you set eyes on him.”
