I tried out a new art software and did a landscape painting as they tend to calm me down

As I haven't been to the mountains for a long time and I love them I thought I'd paint them

This was painful after we had a panic attack because there was a new care person who was filling in who triggered us accidentally but didn't realise it

We felt very left alone and naked but because we had noone to talk to we painted instead

We really feel very vulnerable right now where we feel almost naked with a lot of things coming out in the open

I often see things that others can't see and used to be ashamed of that

But now I want to celebrate that and this painting is a celebration of my gift

Honestly I wish a good 90% of the internet would shut up about BED (Binge Eating Disorder). Cause they have 0 clue what they’re talking about.

BED is not a fat person disorder. In fact when I was diagnosed they didn’t even weigh me. It’s not about weight it’s about eating habits. Specifically binge eating. And during my recovery I was never told to diet or limit what I eat. Instead they were teaching me to recognize when my body couldn’t handle more food (I used to eat till I was on the verge of vomiting) and dealing with the emotional triggers that pushed me to binge.

I’m still fat, but my counselor and psychiatrist have both said I’ve recovered and should just avoid relapse.

So it pisses me off seeing random people online accuse every fat person they see online of having BED. BED is a disorder. Doing this would be like me accusing every skinny person of having anorexia. It’s factually incorrect and fucking disrespectful to people dealing with the disorder.

I really wish more professionals would do the same as the original poster has experienced because in Germany it's almost impossible to find someone who doesn't just talk about weight loss and how I weigh too much

I would really like to work on my emotional triggers but I have had so many psychiatrists tell me that the first priority should be weight loss and that I will never be happy as a fat person and this is just really dangerous
