Stages of growing your succulent buddy
Happy Halloween from a little Jack-o-lantern family!
More autumn art, a fall speed paint I did years ago.
A Mucha inspired autumn painting I made back in 2018.
Since it's spooky season, here are a few witches I made last year, maybe I'll go ahead and write some kind of bio for each of them.
A speed painting I did awhile ago, the reference photo was a lake in Canada, I forget which one.
So I was finally able to get my hands on the full series of "château dans les étoiles" (castle in the stars) in Spanish. Castle in the Stars is a Jules Verne inspired fantasy space adventure set during the Belle Epoque, it also kinda has studio Ghibli vibes.
The comic is French and I'm pretty happy I found it in Spanish, because as far as I'm aware the full series was never translated into English. The art is absolutely stunning, each page is illustrated in full color watercolors, and I love the Belle Epoque period so I'm really enjoying it, maybe I'll write a review once I finish it. If you're a fan of Belle Epoque stuff, Jules Verne and studio Ghibli you'll like this series.
And about the AI opt-out setting Tumblr will deploy tomorrow, I’ll just let you with the words of the person in charge of the heist:
Andrew Spittle, Automattic’s head of AI replied: “We will notify existing partners on a regular basis about anyone who’s opted out since the last time we provided a list. […] I believe partners will honor this based on our conversations with them to this point.”
So Tumblr will notify openAi and Midjourney that you wish your posts to not be used and it’s entirely up to them to comply or not. And as we know, we are talking about some of the less ethical companies on the internet (which honestly is kind of a feat), so that cute little setting will most than probably do nothing and less.
So I've been reluctant to post my art as of late because of the proliferation of AI art stealing people's paintings. It's really a shame how the corporatization of art disincentives real art creation, it's also ironic how without real artists posting their work AI art will have no art databases to generate from. People sometimes equate using a digital drawing pad to AI art, but it's not the same thing at all, one requires learning how to draw, the other requires inputting keywords, and most importantly, AI art is never creating anything original, just mashing up what other people have already made.
Anyways here's another painting of mine, part of my celestial bodies series, I call this one "head in the clouds".
Haven’t posted in awhile, so here’s some of my personal art. I call this painting “orbiting you”. I love drawing outer space!
The art of Monstress is so pretty but I haven’t been able to connect with the characters so far. Maybe it’s because I happened to pick up the Spanish editions for the first 3 volumes. If you’ve read this series let me know if you think it’s worth finishing!
Sailor moon fan art, done by me. :)
Was trying out a new style that looks a bit animeish but is not full anime/manga style.
My nerdy stuff corner, hoping to build it up. :)
My air Genasi Monk OC, she’s inspired by Capoeria and fights by dancing.
Homebrew subterranean cave map, feel free to use this for your own adventure!
A castle town map I made for my homebrew game, feel free to use it for yours.
