Err that’s off by a half. The left side is ~2.118 while the real phi is ~1.618.

I’m guessing they author messed up trying to modify the standard definition:

Whenever you think his explanation must have reached its peak, the guy adds like 5 more concepts and diagrams that are necessary to understand quantum mariodynamics. I mean don’t get me wrong, the accomplishment is legit, but I think viewers collectively took a step back and realized this TAS research had grown into some crazy self-parodying monster, just from its extremeness alone...
