In left-wing spaces, it's acceptable for oppressed groups to center themselves in their own movements and focus on their own interests... Except for women, they are expected to put everybody's interests over theirs as a class and center men in their own movement.
I'm just going to say it - body hair (and beauty standards in general) is truly one of the final frontiers of women's issues in the West. Too many women just love their gilded cage too much. It shocks me how virulently women will defend it. I barely open my mouth and the "well I like how it feels. it just makes me feel cleaner. sensory issues. I do it for me. feminism is about choosing (to conform)." brigade come rushing in by the dozens.
Well I don't like how it feels. I don't feel cleaner without body hair. I don't prefer not having body hair. But who will advocate for women like me, but me? For women who do like hair removal, they are advocated for every time they step out of the house and see 99% of the female population also conforming to that standard, or when they watch a movie and see all the shaved actresses, or view an advertisment, or open a magazine, or watch a music video, or scroll through social media, or walk down the streets without receiving insults and glares for having a completely normal bodily feature.
You genuinely can't even point out that hairlessness is a man-made standard without women losing their shit and acting like they are totally immune to propaganda they've been exposed to from birth. I'm so tired.
Hair is nice and soft and fluffy. Stubble is angry and irritating and sharp. The best way to deal with sensory issues is actually to stop shaving!! You'll have a buffer between your leg skin and pants. You won't ever have irritating stubble again.
How do 99% of women have "sensory issues" that require them to stay cleanly shaven at all times, but this phenomenon affects <1% of men? Can't be propaganda.....

i really don’t have the time to be the way i am
No one is completely perfect for you
Relationships and friendships take work and understanding and a lot of empathy
ON. BOTH. SIDES.
If you are always the only person having to put in work, understanding, and empathy, it's also okay to end that relationship/friendship and find someone who is willing to do the work too.
the right: i want a woman to cook and clean and fuck
the left: omg…..girls?????? girls are soooooo soft……and soo good at organizing??? god i love how they organize their closets it’s soo cute…i just…wow…ugh date a girl who’s cute and soft and cooks for you
The right: blue for boys, pink for girls- that’s the way God intended
The left: I dunno I just feel like…..to me, pink is for the girlies? Like if you really like pink you might be a girl? Like it’s worth exploring your girlhood and feminity if that resonates with your authentic self. And blue?? It gives off a masculine vibe. Like if pink is not your vibe and blue feels right to you, you’re probably just a dude. Go forth my guy.
It’s depressing to think about how many leftist viewpoints get completely abandoned in the name of Trans Rights™️.
Be aware of your privilege and make sure to not use it against marginalised people…unless you’re a man who wants to identify as a woman or a heterosexual who wants to identify as homosexual. Then it’s totally fine to use your privilege to barge into the spaces of those less privileged than you, and to talk over them.
Oppression impacts the human psyche deeply, and sadly it makes many oppressed people hate the traits they’re oppressed for…but don’t you dare suggest we analyse why a woman might want to identify out of womanhood, or why a homosexual might want to identify as a straight trans person, or why a woman might hate her female features so much that she wants them surgically removed or medically altered. These are valid identities that can’t possibly be related to the desire to escape oppression.
Capitalism is bad and consumers are exploited…but anything sold with the label “gender affirming” is amazing actually, and the people selling it absolutely have your best interests at heart. Buy buy buy all the cosmetic surgery, medical treatments, and pride merch your little heart desires and never once stop to think about why it’s being sold to you!
Listen to the oppressed and prioritise and amplify their voices, and learn from them to confront your own privilege and biases even when doing so is uncomfortable…except for women and homosexuals. When they say things that make you uncomfortable, they’re just evil cis TERFs that must be silenced and condemned! When they talk about how you’re harming them, it’s you who is the victim.
This is just off the top of my head, I’m sure there’s more examples so feel free to share if any come to mind. It feels so bleak being a leftist who actually sticks to leftist principles, when it seems like the majority of leftists are willing to abandon them as soon as the word “trans” is uttered.

no i do not want religion to decide whether I get rights or not. reasons: 1) i don't believe in it 2) it's not real
the only way to break sexist stereotypes is to say “Im a woman and i dont adhere to this” not to say “Im not a woman because i dont adhere to this”

ok but why does nearly every “funny adult cartoon” show have to centre around men and male protagonists
for instance, bojack horseman, rick & morty, south park, the simpsons, big mouth, family guy, archer, etc.
men are portrayed as these deep, humorous, philosophical creatures, when this is literally just your average woman
countless women suffer from depression, loneliness, substance abuse, self-destruction, trauma, societal alienation - and absolutely find absurdist humour in it
yet we don’t even have one show centred on depicting the full depth of human experience in women - they are supporting characters to men at best in these shows
or when women exist, the humour and perception is still male gaze centric (i.e. disenchantment and big mouth)
meanwhile other shows with female protagonists, like tuca & bertie and inside job, are literally cancelled by netflix
reject male protagonists and pro-actively seek pro-female content in shows, movies, books, music, art, philosophy. everything
rebalance nature and humanity
Not a cartoon, but Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is sooo good. It manages to stay mostly lighthearted and funny while also being a pretty deep exploration into mental illness and navigating female relationships. Oh and it's a musical, with smash hits like "Heavy Boobs" and "Sexy Getting Ready Song."

thinking about "is it cool that i said all that?" and "it's cool, that's what i tell 'em, no rules in breakable heaven" and "it's cool, baby, with me" and "you're so cool, it makes me hate you so much" and "I play it cool with the best of them" and "a greater woman stays cool, but i howl like a wolf at the moon" and "cooler in theory, but not if you force it to be" and "i've been dying just from trying to seem cool"
