I saw this and felt like it should be shared here too

I need writing advice, mamma. For a trauma character.
They were enslaved and trained to serve and look pretty via pain (a lot of) and starvation, and don't they dare mention it.
They've just been set free and arrived to a facility (they still believe they're slaves, so they're complacent, doing everything "if they wish to do". They think they've been bought again) dedicated to physical and psychologically heal their kind.
But I know trauma doesn't make you broody and mysterious and shit. And I feel like I'm not making them feel hurt enough (it's POV).
Suggestions?
i mean its different for everyone? i cant really answer this. for me, when my "thing" happened. i tried telling ppl but the ppl in my life who should have listened, should have helped, just punished me further. they told me i was making shit up and i needed to fuck off and be quiet. i was taught reacting to my trauma was just as much a punishment as the event. so i became numb to pretty much everything. that became my response to most events going forward as well. an emergency is happening? then im going to stand here emotionless and observe until its over. oh now your yelling at me for not freaking out about the emergency in the way YOU expected? cool. im going to continue not reacting.
today? i'll tell anyone what happened. and i still dont have a reaction for it. but i aint putting those trigger warnings here. so i dont know Anon. maybe they're like me and dont react to things. maybe they need to have a breakdown and cry for 10yrs. i dont know your character, i cant write that for you.
As my birthday gift to me, I shall be doing nothing.
Sweet fuck all.
Not a thing.
Does something need doing? Ask me tomorrow.
My day is taken up by the song of fuck off and leave me alone.
Chores? Don't know her.
Making food? Not on my watch.
Begone responsibility.
I lay in bed, my day of nothing is complete.
Nothing happened.
Phone off. Everything ignored.
I didn't clean a single plate, I didn't brush my hair, I never stepped foot outside or answered an email.
Its glorious and complete.
(petting you gently and whispering in your ear) you’re so fucked. it’s over for you

I came across this post by @boigameista again and was overcome by the uncontrollable urge to make Frog (diminutive)
This pattern is meant to be at least twice as big and is intended for stretchy fabric like fleece, not felt, but you know how it is, inscrutable exhortations of my soul, etc.
"i want him in a way that is concerning to feminism" <- trite, overdone, equates feminism to prudishness and is thus concerning to feminism in itself
"i want him in a way that is concerning to medical science" <- well now we're getting somewhere.
All your favs eh @taz-clark ?
if their not pathetic and suffering heavy blood loss, then what are we even doing here
