I hate the stupid fucking discussion surrounding transfem jax "coming out of nowhere" because one, no it didn't. and two, I think any author at any point in their story should be able to say "this character is transgender" and have that be accepted regardless of whether or not there was any setup.

Trans people are not a monolith and their indentities shouldn't have to be accepted off whether or not you were able to tell that they were trans. Trans people don't have to "make sense". And trying to erase or diminish trans characters who don't "make sense" only harms more real trans people in the process.

Not wanting to have sex is NOT a problem. It doesn’t matter if you are asexual or allo, there is nothing wrong with not wanting sex. It’s just an activity. jacinthe and corbeau are so interesting to me like he fucking hates her but also. she loves ruining his day. the whole poison/steel theme around the rust syndicate isn't enough to deter her and her fairy types. i think she could kick corbeau's ass easily if she really wanted to.

I feel like simply calling JK Rowling a transphobe isn't strong enough anymore. Like. This is not your grandpa calling you by your deadname at a restaurant kind of transphobic. This is her wanting to eradicate all trans people (with an extra special hatred towards trans women specifically). This is her trying just that by personally funding transphobic hate groups with millions to push around laws in the UK. It is not hyperbolic to call her a dangerous, genocidal maniac.

It's not about cancelling a problematic writer. It's about literally trying to save lives by denying her as much money and power as possible.
