so I got a little antsy and decided to redo a bunch of my pets that just weren't clicking with me in their current states.

as much as I love real life axolotls, I absolutely despise Lutaris. I had a Maraquan Lutari for over a year and just could not click with her. So yesterday I decided to use my Premium perk and morphed her into a Burlap Peophin, and I am smitten. She even has a petpet and P3 already (plushie Mimbi, Moffit) and she's just fabulous. So cute. 10/10.

my hissi had been Dimensional, the result of a boon of FFQs during the faerie event. Dimensional didn't work well for her, having been previously Halloween. apparently I have full time Magma Pool access and just dipped her, and I think she looks swell. (of course, contrary to bullet point 1, I have entered her in the Dream Pet Giveaway to turn into...a Halloween Lutari. shut up.)

the final one...man, I created a Blumaroo a year or so ago after a friend showed me some amazing customizations with them. The poor thing sat, unpainted in the stupidest outfits I could muster up, no petpet, no nothing. Eventually I had enough and decided that it was high time to morph them into something I would like, which is a Draik, since I have like 90 Draiks (exaggerated, but I do have a ton of them). I opted for Tyrannian since they're a) buyable and b) really unique with the head shape and horn, and gave her a Tyrannian Rock since they are fossils and rule and have been trying to get a Pebble to attach all day to no avail. Also I figure if I get bored of her as Tyrannian I can paint her Valentine and then sell body parts to get a Valentine PPPB for her Rock.

I came back from hiatus during the faerie event with like, less than 5 mil in the bank and I gotta say, the "throw shit in your SDB for 5-6 years and wait" and food club method has been fruitful for me

Dom confirmed that JN has more staff than Neopets website does. Not actually that surprising because Jellyneo IS a lot more put together and functional Goes to show the difference between what people do when driven by passion vs what corporations accomplish when driven by profit. Neopets would probably thrive best as a totally free, community owned and volunteer-run website...in my opinion.

While it may seem shocking at first, a good thing to keep in mind is that Jellyneo staff are unpaid volunteers - it's not a job, and no one is expected to work on it the same way there are expectations for TNT. There are certain standards for staff, but it's really not comparable to what you'd see if it was a true job.

JN gets by with these volunteers and then with donations that cover server costs. I can't imagine what server costs would be for Neopets itself, or the amount of work that would be involved in putting things together. While the idea of a community-run site is nice in theory for Neo, in practice I don't think it'd be sustainable. Imagine the amount of drama, the amount of risk, the compliance standards... I can promise you that the team running JN would not touch that responsibility on a volunteer basis with a ten-foot pole.
