my local mcdonalds online prices have me doing cookie math

so the difference between having 0 cookies and having 1 cookie is 80 cents, right? you might assume that the cookies to follow would be similarly priced. maybe 2 cookies could cost $1.50 or something! but you'd be wrong

the difference between 1 cookie and 2 cookies is not 80 cents or even close. it's 1.31. huh? cookie number two costs more than cookie 1 did? it's over 2.5x the price of 1 to get 2? hang on cause

then the difference btween 2 cookies and 3 cookies is TWENTY cents. which makes sense in comparison to 1 cookie's price but not cookie 2's. why'd the cost jump from 1->2 but not 2-> 3? ordering 2x of 1 cookie for .79 each doesn't work because the store will leave the additional cookie out of the order. it's infuriating i just want 2 cookies for 1.60. i have questions for you ronald you clown piece of shit.

[Ethereals] R.O.P Date 1

The two sides of this arrangement meet for the first time.

“Hm.. is this thing on?”

The diamond- shaped object flickered slightly, as the user fumbled to get it to function properly. “Agh.. ethereal mechanisms are never easy… why do they always make this so difficult to use..?” Shaking and prodding the thing in their hands was a tall female, struggling to figure out the strange object in her hands, occasionally pushing the fringe of her platinum blonde hair from her reddish eyes. Seemingly through this method of poking, prodding and pressing, the top half of the diamond object swung back like a lid, and the girl naturally jumped back slightly in surprise. “Come on Faye, there is no way you broke it that easily, right..?” Muttering nervously to herself she looked inside, expecting to see nothing to confirm that yep, you broke it, but instead being greeted with one singular symbol. Breathing a sigh of relief she pressed the button gently, and was greeted with the shimmering reflection beaming out from within the object. “Aha! Ok ok, um- R.O.P Date 1..?”

“I have managed to access the Rejuvenation Plane, which no one- which I did not think would be possible for me to achieve, so I am feeling pretty good!” Faye started, a proud smile on her face. “The other half has yet to arrive, as you can probably tell by my lack of-“

“Seriously? Already with the stupid report things? I knew the angel was here already but honestly.” She was quickly cut off by an annoyed woman’s voice, and just like that, her back jerked slightly, as two cloud-like wings popped out from her back, stretching themselves out.

“Oh! Uh, report out!” The angel quickly dipped to the object, pressing the symbol and watching relieved when the projection zipped back inside. Picking up the object in her hands, she turned to see who had spoken, all the while trying to close the object back up.

Who greeted her when she turned around was a short young lady, short and wavy black hair framing her face in a bob, with eyes matching Faye’s own, fiery and red. On her head, two slightly curved horns, and on her back, two greatly arched wings, black and a deep red. “So... demon-“

“Lili.” The woman corrected curtly, eyebrows furrowing.

“Right, Lili, ok... well, it’s uh... nice to meet you..?” Faye fumbled, fighting with the object in her hands still, while trying to figure out a good way to talk to the other girl. Faye had ever met a demon before, they weren’t welcome on Angel terrain, and the other girl was mildly intimidating to her. The demon however, just smirked slightly. Looking at the object in Faye’s hands, she chuckled lightly and with one flick of the lid, she shut the object, and held out a hand.

“Likewise.” Her voice was smooth, calm, collected, if not a little tired. Faye hesitated a moment, feeling a bit embarrassed, before taking the other’s hand.

“Y..Yeah, likewise.”

“R.O.P date 1. Um, I managed to get in ok! So, um, no worries about that! I have met with Lili- um, the other half of this conscience. She is.. alright. She-“

“Oh c’mon, not this again, really?” With an arm suddenly slung around her shoulder, Faye flustered quickly, looking at the other girl and nodding.

“Yes, this again- it has to be done sooner or later-“ she spoke, only somewhat sure of herself, as she messed with a strand of her hair. Lili slumped further on the angel’s shoulder, before looking at the projection with a raised eyebrow. “This was the thing you couldn’t use? A hologram?”

“It is, um, a recording device. It shows us, and we speak into it, and then, it, I assume sends it to the other Angels..?” The blonde explained, sounding a bit confused as she at the very least tried to sound like she knew what she was doing. “You- you can do it with me if you wish-“

“Well it would help if you actually pressed to record.” The demon snickered slightly, watching as Faye realised that yep, she never actually started it, so she was completely just talking to herself, only able to mutter out a small ‘oh’ as Lili pressed the button.

“Um, R.O.P Date-“

“Hey to all the beings up there, we’re here and we’re good- human ain’t here tho, no clue where they could be, so-“

“You can not just say that! Have some manners for the Elite Angels!” Faye was quick to stop the other girl, however she just shrugged in response.

“Why not? They have no respect for us anyway, may as well treat ‘em the same way.” Lili quickly replied, before continuing. “The human ain’t here though, but we don’t know how this works, since you never told us, y’know?” She rolled her eyes, before Faye spoke up quickly.

“Um! I apologise for her rudeness, but she is still correct, um- other than that, everything has gone well! So that will be it for this report!” She stumbled over some of her words just trying to finish the report up, while praying the higher-ups wouldn’t completely destroy her for it.

Lili scoffed slightly, yet got the point anyway, and waved a dismissive hand at the device. “Yeah, yeah, we’re done, ok? You can shut the thing up- we’ll report more at a later date or whatever~”

“Y-Yeah, that is right! Um, R.O.P Date 1, report out!”

Story Concept- Ethereals

In this future, humans have become increasingly successful in their endeavours, and are generally seen as very high class beings. All humans are seen in two categories: you have what 99.9% of the population falls into, being category one. These are your everyday people, those who do well in life, get a good job, have a happy family, and all in all are just 'ideal', the types of lives you would want to live, happy, successful, doing what they want.

As for the other 0.1%? They are, what one would call, 'hopeless'.

These people are so rare in this society, that no one really knows how to deal with them. They are deemed as 'unfit' for the community, however when it comes to humans, no one really knows what categorises them as definitively 'hopeless'.

That's where the 'Rejuvenation Observation Program' comes in. Explicitly described as 'for the the truly hopeless to be saved', the ROP specifically targets all Category 2 humans, and assigns them with both an Angel, and a Demon.

Now Angels and Demons are pretty well beloved by all beings, or at the very least they're extremely common knowledge. The two races don't exactly get along, but they work together in a collaborative agreement for the ROP. Both sides can agree that by sending in one of their own, they can assist any humans into maybe having a chance of joining Category 1. However, both sides can agree that this is an incredibly low class job for anyone to do, and practically have zero respect for anyone involved with Category 2 humans.

So what do they do? Well, the ROP is 'for the truly hopeless to be saved', so they will use the worst of the worst, the angels and demons who truly suck at their jobs, and are deemed hopeless by their own kind, and send them in to be the designated conscience. After all, Category 2 is such a tiny percentage of people, that who cares if the stragglers are stuck with them?

For our particular human, Aida, she never really understood why she ended up in Category 2, but she's been there since she was a baby, almost as if it was fate that she was destined to be doomed. Aida herself is actually a very nice girl, always polite to others, although not very smart. One of her biggest issues were probably just her anxiety, which made it very hard for her to connect with others as a child, and which has stemmed into her adult life, with her now being 22.

Now Aida here was assigned with her very own conscience Angel and Demon, being Faye and Liliana respectively.

Faye is her conscience angel. She is, as you would expect any angel to be: dedicated, hard working, very rule driven, always keeping a good image, an all around 'good' person. However, she's been stuck in the ROP, which no one would think as a good thing- well, except Faye. Faye, probably in an attempt to deny how she really feels (which is shown in certain ways she reacts to Liliana's words) shows that she thinks of her involvement in this program as a good opportunity, and as a show of appreciation for her efforts. In reality, she heavily hates that she is stuck here, and actually has a lot of pent up rage from being seen as the bottom of the Angels. Because of this, she is partially swayed by Lili's words, and she starts to rebel against the angel beliefs she's known as her life. The reason that she ended up as one of the lowest ranking angels is because she was never a very good angel. She was only ever given simple jobs, by even then she still managed to screw things up. One time, however, she was given the role of assisting with an important mission- a last chance for her to redeem herself. Needless to say, she failed, and a higher class angel was severely injured because of it. This led to the her being scrapped as a hopeless, and therefore being shoved in the ROP.

Liliana is the demon half of this agreement, made to serve as the 'bad side' of Aida's conscience. Yet her personality isn't even that bad. She's snarky, quick witted, and while quite the rule breaker, she can be quite considerate towards others, however her methods of solving problems can be more problematic than the issue itself. One of the only reasons that Lili is even so low down in the demon hierarchy is because she strayed from her original job. Originally, she was one of the underworld's gatekeepers, guiding those who had entered inside. However, she grew antsy, and wanted to know more than the job she had known her whole life. So, as a side hobby, she would join the succubi in their roles, which she herself genuinely enjoyed immensely. However, once higher-ups had realised what was going on, and due to the nature of a succubus role (and with succubi in general being seen as only just above the hopeless) she was stripped of both roles, and delegated as hopeless. Lili, while being pretty bitter over being downgraded, has expected all the scorn and judgement she has faced for being so low, yet disagrees with Faye, who desperately tries to hide that she is a hopeless, under the impression that she shouldn't have the right to be seen as any better then herself, because they're both in the same boat.

Hi hi~

I decided to make a blog for just all my writing that I do! Ive wanted to post them on tumblr but I didn't think they would fit with my main blog, so here we are!

I'll post a variety of things here, like general creative writing, or more specific stories relating to my ocs, and I'll probably just post some info on them as well~

Anywho, I hope you enjoy them whenever I post!
