this entire thing hinges on the fact that poppy has that yellow star on the back of her head and geeta has yellow spots in her hair. apparently poppy is supposed to be nine? so like, i guess it makes more sense that a five year old running around with the elite 4 moniker (yes in the games the starting age for pokemon is 12 but in the anime it's 10 sooo what's logic anymore?) idk she's just stunted or something.

like it's no secret that paldea's pokemon league is underfunded, to the point that all the gym leaders have a seconded job, all im saying is that most of the region's money is being funneled into naranja academy to the point that the league doesn't quite have it's hand pick of the flock like other regions especially since there is a champion rank at the school that most of the people are ok with, heck, the player isn't the region's champion like the other games, they are a champion rank at the school. im just saying, it's not nepotism when you have no one else signing up. (not that there hasn't been nepotism in other regions but idk there's a lowkey desperation in paldea that the other regions don't have when it comes to the leauge)

nihilego lusamine is one of the coolest ideas pokemon could have come up with but she's the only character that this fusion ever happens to and like; idk nihilego lusamine is such an amazing design and I wish there was more dabbling into the subject especially since ultra beasts are based off of invasive species and parasites and seem like they were built for this kinda thing

and like if having an evil team have fusion as their goal would be considered re treading ideas then like, at least a gimmick? Pokken Tournament doesn't count because that's not fusion it's just mind control
