Could you imagine making your own movie, making like 20 million dollars, and then going “awesome, now to install a DVD duplicating machine in my house and personally burn copies by hand like a medieval monk preserving sacred texts”

Like I need people to understand the mental image here of a multimillionaire internet creator personally overseeing DVD production in his own house like he’s running an underground bootleg operation out of a basement in 2007.

It’s weirdly charming because there’s something very “old internet” about it, this energy of “I made a thing, and now I will physically hand it to people myself like an artisan at a craft fair.”

It genuinely frustrates me how I have all these ideas and stories in my head and can never get them written out.

Maybe I’m not meant to be a writer. Maybe the stories should remain in my head, but I have such a desire to put them into words.

Rarely do I have more then a 30 minute window that I can devote to writing, and when I finally sit down to it’s like I have too much in my head. I get one sentence down with an idea and then I’m down a rabbit hole. One idea creates 10 more and then I get overwhelmed or can’t figure out logistics to make it believable or flow.

I can see everything play out so vivid and fluidly in my head, but trying to create something other people can see when they read it is such a talent that I don’t seem to have.

Iron Lung Review!!! *SPOILERS AHEAD*

Ok, in my opinion…

THIS MOVIE WAS PRETTY DARN GOOD FOR BEING HIS FIRST FILM/MOVIE

I went to film school and it takes so much effort to even get 15 minutes of high quality/produced content.

You can tell that SO much passion went into the project as it shows in the quality of the set, costuming, makeup, effects, etc! It made my film heart happy cause I just know that that budget was well spent!

So often to I see most of the budget go to one department, but because the quality looked so well rounded. I just know the time was spent evenly and fairly as best as possible!

(Lowkey the quality was better than main stream media *cough cough* Stranger Things 🫣)

If I had to have one critique it would be with the Sound Design, WHICH IS SO DIFFICULT TO DO DON’T GET ME STARTED #filmeditorthangs #sounddesignerthangs 🥲

It was hard for me to hear certain dialogue scenes especially when they would get warbled. In school I was taught when it comes to heavy lore/story moments it’s best to make sure that the dialogue is clear. Or if it needs to be warbled that it is shown visually. Because it was obstructed I got really confused as to what was happening/who was speaking (or maybe that was the point?)

Additionally, I soooo wish that we got to see more of Simon’s backstory. We got brief moments in flashbacks. But if we got just a lil bit more I think it would’ve made me root for him more to survive. Because I didn’t know as much I didn’t care too heavily about him towards the end.

Probs, because they were limited to one set/location there’s only so much you can do haha.

REGARDLESS, MAN WAS THAT STILL SUCH A FUN WATCH AND I WAS STILL GAGGED.

So unbelievably proud of @markiplier . For being one of the people who inspired me to go to film school in the first place. It’s soooo awesome seeing him make something as big as this. HUGE RESPECT!!

Reading "Lola and the Millionaires"

I also always enjoyed how she never turned into an omega. As much as that near obsession Lola had before the incident, I still feared that once she got with all of them, she would all the sudden be a late bloomer

Recently just read the two books for first time.

Absolutely, hands down, one of the best omegaverse books I have ever read. I will be re-reading those books so many times in my future.

I 100% agree - I’m so glad she didn’t turn out to be an omega, especially with her past of wanting it so badly. Personally, I say that would be destroyed all the growth she had embracing herself and of learning that betas are special too.

The only other book that has been as good as these for me is Not Many Options by Jillian West. Not as spicy, at least till later into the book, but another great omegaverse novel.
