Years have passed since Teia, Viago, and Isa started their relationship, and things around Treviso were getting better. The Antaam were slowly being pushed out of the city, the civilians were trusting in the Crows more, and Lucanis was now First Talon. Isa, however, was also taking more intense and longer contracts that took her farther away. Teia is constantly worried about her well-being, but that train of thought leads to a different idea that she was reminded about. With the three of them, it could be easier for them to add a few more to their little family. Not to mention it would keep Isa closer for a little while, right?
AO3
Teia laid awake in Viago’s room in the de Riva estate, listening to his breathing. Isa had accepted a contract that took a few days, but she was due back any day now. How Viago was ever able to rest while their novia was away, she would never know. It had been a couple of years since the Scourge incident, but Teia grew worried every time Isa went out on a contract.
She tried to convince her to take contracts closer to home, and Isa would listen most of the time. There were just a few that came across that Teia knew that only Isa and a select few could accomplish. Therefore, since Isa was generally free, the contracts usually fell to her. It didn’t help that Lucanis was now First Talon. He knew exactly what she was capable of, and he gave her the ones that she couldn’t resist. At least he would accompany her sometimes when he didn’t have too many duties as First Talon to deal with.
Teia just wished that she could make Isa a Talon as well so she would be on the same tier as them. However, that would pose different issues and problems. Three Talons in one city was more than enough. Four were unheard of, and it could spark issues with the other four about unnecessary alliances. Damn Crow politics.
“You should try thinking less and sleeping more,” Viago muttered with his eyes still closed. Teia frowned, resting her chin on his chest.
“I would sleep better if our cuervita was here,” Teia complained softly.
“She’ll likely be here by morning,” he sighed, not quite awake. Teia rolled her eyes, glancing out the window. There were still a few hours until morning.
“I think you should be more worried about it.”
“You should remember that she’s an excellent Crow.”
Teia exhaled, knowing that he was right. Isa had learned a great deal from her intense encounters through her time as a Crow. She had only got better over time, and it did make Teia feel better about it overall. She sighed, turning her head to rest her cheek as she felt the rise and fall of his breathing.
Maybe if there was another reason to keep Isa close by, it would work better. Teia hummed, wondering how Isa would respond to the idea. It wasn’t like they hadn’t talked about it before. It just had been in different context. She had also spoken to Vi about it as well, but that had also been a while ago as well.
“Vi, what do you think about starting a family?” Teia wondered in a quiet voice. Vi hummed, still asleep.
“We are a family,” he argued, feeling quite content with how their love triangle turned out. Teia pressed her lips together, realizing that she would need to be more direct.
“What if we added more to our family? Like children?” she suggested, waiting patiently for his mind to process her words and wake him up. It was a conversation she had wanted to have, but the timing was never quite right with the three of them. It seemed good to start with one of them, though.
Viago’s eyes opened before his head turned toward her, more awake than he had been before. Teia smirked, happy to have his full attention. He took a deep breath, rubbing his face a little.
“I thought we’ve talked about this before,” he mumbled, willing himself awake.
“We have, but that was before Isa,” Teia reminded. Vi furrowed his brow a little, unsure how that changed the context.
The last time they had this discussion, the conclusion was that it put Teia in too much danger since she was a Talon. She’d be vulnerable during that time, and then there would be a third vulnerable person to look out for until they could protect themselves. It presented too much danger and stress for them and the potential child they would bring. They had decided against it.
He didn’t understand why bringing Isa into this would change anything.
“Isa would be in the same situation you would be in,” he argued, confused. Teia sighed, shaking her head.
“Yes, but if Isa were to carry, then we both could protect her. It wouldn’t be just you,” she answered with a smile. Viago stared at her for a moment before exhaling, shaking his head.
“I still find it dangerous,” he replied quietly, but Teia could tell that she was changing his mind a bit.
“But it would be different from what you’re thinking. Isa isn’t a Talon,” Teia reminded gently as he stared at her. She had a point there. She wouldn’t be as targeted as Teia would be. There wouldn’t be a Talon spot to gain. Only leverage, but Antiva saw what happened when you tried to take Isa by force several years ago.
“We’ll talk to Isa when she returns,” Viago informed sternly with a sigh. Teia beamed, knowing that she had gained traction.
She had wanted a family with Viago, but with their careers, it hadn’t been feasible. It wasn’t until a few weeks ago that she realized that Isa might have changed the dynamic enough were now she could have a family with both of them.
He wrapped an arm around her shoulders as she exhaled, still not sure she would be able to sleep with Isa on a contract still, but she looked forward to discussing the idea with her at least. Even if she could feel Viago’s hesitance.
Isa stretched out her neck as she walked into the de Riva estate. It was just before dawn, and she was glad that she made it before the day started. Although, she was going to sleep for at least a few hours before she spoke to anyone about anything.
She snuck into her old room and locked the door, throwing her clothes to the ground before bundling herself in her blankets. Isa sank into her bed, happy to be home and comfortable at last.
She had about fallen asleep when she heard the door open, and she knew who had the audacity to lock pick her bedroom door.
“Teia, luce mia, gioia mia, anima mia, I beg you, let me sleep, amore,” Isa whined, covering her head with the duvet. She heard nothing before she felt her ragazza slide under the covers next to her, wrapping her arms around her torso.
“Alright, cuervita, go ahead and sleep. I just wanted to make sure you were fine,” Teia whispered, kissing Isa’s shoulder. The Crow relaxed against her, happy to sleep in her arms for at least a little while.
However, it seemed short lived as the door opened again not even an hour later. Isa groaned as Teia kissed the back of her neck. The door closed again, and it wasn’t a moment later before her blanket was yanked away.
Isa glared up at Viago, daring him to do something. She hoped that he would just give her blanket back. However, she assumed that Teia was making a mischievous face behind her.
“You thought you could sneak in here? You should know better than that,” Viago scolded lightly before sighing, climbing into bed with both of them. Isa exhaled, closing her eyes.
“I just wanted to sleep,” Isa muttered, letting both of them maneuver her a little. Viago slid his arm beneath her so he could reach Teia as well as Isa laid against his chest instead of her pillow. Teia was still at her back, quite happy that she had both of her lovers back where they belonged.
“You can sleep,” Viago informed plainly with a smirk. Isa grimaced, knowing that was the farthest thing from the truth. They likely had a full night of sleep where she had been traveling all night just so she could get home quickly.
Teia rubbed her back a little before nuzzling into her neck a little. Isa closed her eyes, letting them warm her up after the cold autumn night. While she still wasn’t sure that they would let her fall asleep or sleep for long, she was fading rather fast.
Teia was happy to let Isa relax and sleep while Viago watched her pass out on his chest. He had taught her to trust no one when he mentored her when she first became a Crow, but he was touched by the amount of trust that she put in both him and Teia. No one else in Thedas would think to sleep between two Talons, but Isa could not be anywhere safer in the world than where she was currently.
Viago stared at her for a while longer, thinking about Teia’s proposition, and the idea did have some appeal. Teia once thought him to be somewhat jealous, but that wasn’t exactly right. He would call it being protective or perhaps sentimental. He believed Illario called him possessive at one point. However, the Talon didn’t think of himself as overbearing or domineering. He didn’t believe he was that extreme. Teia teased him by correcting her original statement by saying he was clingy.
Regardless, whatever the word was, it made the idea of having children with either, or both, of them rather appealing. To show that their relationship was lasting and that they were connected to him filled him with a sense of thrill and pride. He had always tamped it down because he would never put Teia in danger for it. But if Isa was willing to either carry the child or help protect Teia during the pregnancy, then he could be more easily persuaded. That is if Isa agreed enthusiastically.
Teia saw Viago staring at Isa’s head while she slept, and the Talon hoped that he was thinking about their family planning discussion. She had been thinking about it all morning, and she had hoped that Isa would arrive that morning so that they could have a talk about the idea together.
Although, she didn’t expect her to spend the night trying to get back home, which Teia did appreciate. She just wished that there had been a happy middle ground for her love. Still, she could be patient for a little while longer and let Isa sleep for now.
Isa felt kisses on her forehead and on her shoulders as both of them sweetly said her name. She groaned, still feeling exhausted from traveling during the night.
“Amore, I think you should eat something before you ruin your sleep schedule,” Viago whispered as Isa pressed her face into his ribs, ignoring him. He exhaled as Teia chuckled.
“Cuervita, we’ll even make you coffee,” Teia murmured with a grin. Isa exhaled, knowing that would help wake her up more than anything.
“You’ll need to report on your contract at some point,” Viago pointed out as well. Isa grumbled with expletives under her breath, glaring at him through her side eye. “Did it go poorly?”
“No, stronzo,” she hissed as Teia nuzzled her neck.
“Then it should be an easy discussion over brunch,” Viago insisted. Teia hummed, running her hand up and down Isa’s torso. Isa shivered with the light touch before complaining unintelligibly. “Alright, come on.”
Viago stepped out of the bed before pulling the Crow out, carrying her bridal style out of the room. Isa flailed a little as she found her balance, grabbing Viago’s neck. Teia laughed before following them both out. As soon as they were out in the hallway, Isa went bright red and started struggling, embarrassed to be carried like that through their home.
Viago scolded her, yelling at her to calm down. Teia cackled as Viago nearly dropped her, sending her over his shoulder instead. Isa made eye contact with Teia, who nearly doubled over as she laughed. The Crow huffed, trying to pull herself out of Viago’s grasp.
“Amor, be nice to him,” Teia chuckled, sobering a little. Isa glowered a little, but she stopped struggling, allowing Viago to walk down the stairs with her on his shoulder still
As they walked into the dining room, Viago placed Isa on her feet before walking into the kitchen. Isa rolled her eyes before sitting down in one of the chairs at the table. Teia sat next to her, grabbing her hand. As Isa turned to her, Teia stole a passionate kiss to surprise Isa. Isa froze before leaning into the kiss, glad to be home at last.
Teia leaned back as Isa smiled, feeling better already. The Talon smirked, squeezing her novia’s hand.
“I’m glad to have you home, amorcita,” Teia whispered, leaning towards her. “We missed you while you were gone.”
“It was only a few days,” Isa reminded before exhaling. “But I missed you both as well. I missed being home.”
“Maybe you should stay home for a while,” Teia suggested as Isa tilted her head.
“I don’t have a contract, so I could probably stay for a while,” the Crow replied as Teia grinned. Viago walked back in, deciding to sit across from them. “Did you two have something planned or something?”
“More like a proposition,” Teia replied as Viago exhaled.
“It’s an idea that we started discussing last night,” he reminded calmly. Teia rolled her eyes and sighed.
“Well, it sounds like it’s something intense,” Isa mentioned with furrowed brows. They way that they were speaking made it sound like they were talking about something either dangerous or something that she needed to worry about. “Is everything alright?”
“Everything is fine,” Viago reassured immediately. Isa relaxed immediately, knowing that Viago wouldn’t just reassure her if something was actually going on.
“Since everything has been going rather calmly lately, we were thinking about doing something we haven’t discussed together yet,” Teia mentioned as Isa nodded.
“Teia mentioned that she wanted us to start having children,” Viago informed, knowing that Teia was going to sugarcoat it somehow. Isa pursed her lips before turning back to Teia.
“I thought you two said it would be too dangerous. I remember you two mentioning it a long time ago,” Isa commented before Teia smirked.
“Well, that was before we added you into the mix, which is why we wanted to bring up the conversation again. It would be easier to protect everyone with the three of us than just two,” Teia explained as Isa blinked, realizing that Teia had a point. It still put Teia in danger during the pregnancy. “Easier to protect you, specifically.”
“Me?” Isa asked, a little surprised. That wasn’t really where she had expected the conversation to go. Although, she understood why they brought it up now, though.
“We could keep you safe while Teia and I could continue our Talon duties,” Viago mentioned before frowning. Isa pursed her lips, knowing what they were asking. “You would have to step away from your Crow duties for a while, however.”
“I see,” Isa hummed, turning to Teia. “Are you sure about this? I want to make sure that you are sure.”
“I would see any child of yours as a child of mine, just like if I had a child, it would be yours as well,” Teia informed firmly, squeezing her hand. Isa stared at her for a moment, looking for any doubt or deception in her eyes. She had learned the Talon’s tells over the years, but she found that Teia was being completely truthful and honest with her.
“And do you want to be a mother, Isa?” Viago wondered, needing that answer as well. Isa turned to him, considering the question. It was something that she always thought about, but it always felt like a fantasy while she worked as a Crow. Seeing a pair of Talons romantically made it seem like that fantasy even farther out of reach. She had made peace with that.
However, if they were giving her the opportunity, she would accept it. Isa liked the idea of giving the life to her kids that she herself never had the chance to have. She had a feeling that Vi and Teia had a similar intention as well.
“Yes, if this is a serious discussion and proposition, my answer is yes, I would like to be,” Isa answered firmly, staring at Viago. He regarded her with his hands folded in front of his face with his elbows resting on the table.
After a moment, he sat back with a smirk and a nod. Teia beamed, kissing Isa on the cheek. Isa hummed, smiling at her as well.
“You two were worried about my answer, weren’t you?” Isa teased as Teia shook her head.
“I had a feeling you were going to say yes. Of course, we would have left it alone if you said no,” Teia clarified, kissing her fully.
“I just needed to make sure that you were on the same page as us before we moved forward with anything. I wanted to make sure you were fully onboard,” Viago added as Teia smiled at him. Isa hummed, smirking at him. “Teia was the one who couldn’t sleep until she talked to you about it.”
“I was just excited about the idea,” Teia replied with a shrug.
“The idea, or the practice?” Isa teased as her eyes darkened a little.
“Why can’t it be both?” Teia countered, making Isa chuckle. Viago exhaled, shaking his head.
“Can’t this wait until after we’ve eaten? I’d like to at least have brunch first,” he informed, running a hand through his hair. Isa and Teia exchanged a look before smirking at each other.
“Well, I suppose. Brunch is important, after all. So many different things to eat, you know,” Isa remarked with a knowing smirk.
“Oh, I know. Always something messy and delicious,” Teia hummed. Viago tilted his head back in annoyance.
“Vi odio entrambi,” he muttered before he abruptly stood. “Fine. Let’s go.”
“Oh? What about your brunch?” Isa wondered, too innocently.
“It should keep,” Viago answered as he stalked around the table. Teia smirked.
“Thank the Maker for that,” Teia informed, helping Isa to her feet before letting Viago chase them both back upstairs.
I had less time than anticipated for writing this week, so I had to make some choices. One of those choice is to use today to drop a fic I wrote for DATVCompanionweek's Bellaraweek that centers on Bellara/Teia.
This is a sequel to another fic, but the first fic does not physically feature Teia, so I'll show case the one that actually does! It is spicy, so mind the tags.

Before Kithlord 'Butcher' Daathrata guided the Antaam in Treviso, the Antaam were led by Kithlord 'The Scourge' Ozurak, and he had a particular hatred for Crows and their Talons. When he catches wind of particular weakness of not just one but two Talons, Ozurak sends his Antaam with a clever trap to grab the one Crow who might cause the Crows to come to heel. Well, that's what he expects to happen. It seems that Ozurak doesn't know what the Crows are capable of.
AO3
Teia tried to focus on her work without looking at the time. The de Rivas were usually here by now, and they always let her know if something kept them away. It was extremely out of character for neither of them to not reach out to her. They never kept her waiting for more than half an hour.
It had been two hours now.
She did her best not to slam down the stack of papers in her hand onto the table in the alcove before she folded her arms. Teia felt a need to check in on them, but she would need to go in person. Sending a Crow would make both de Rivas nervous, despite if it was a Cantori Crow.
Making up her mind, Teia started to walk towards the ziplines before a Crow intercepted her with a panicked expression, the blood clearly drained from his face. The Talon furrowed her brow as she regarded him, watching as he produced an envelope.
“What is this?” she asked, doing her best not to let her frustrations leak into her voice. She took the letter from the Crow as he inhaled.
“A letter. It says it’s from the Fifth Talon... b-but...” the Crow mentioned before Teia looked at it. Then she understood why the Crow looked panicked.
Viago always had a calm, practiced hand when it came to his handwriting. She wasn’t even sure she had ever seen it rushed and messy before. She swallowed, realizing that there was likely a terrible reason why both of them were late on their arrival. Teia hoped that it was something that could be fixed quickly.
“Get Natale up here. I will see what the Fifth Talon requires,” Teia instructed. Natale was usually the one she called to watch over the casino whenever she couldn’t be there, and Teia wasn’t sure how long this particular excursion was going to take.
As she made her way to the ziplines, her heart nearly stopped as she read the note. If the trait hadn’t been trained out of her, she was sure that her hands would have started shaking. Viago needed her to get there quickly as she shoved the note into her pocket after reading the message.
The Scourge has Isa.
Teia wasn’t even sure how she made it to the de Riva estate when she arrived at the front door. She was about to knock when the door flew open to reveal a very panicked Viago. Her eyes widened before he pulled her inside and locked the door behind her.
The estate was dark and cold, and Teia guessed that Viago likely sent his staff home until further notice in case there was an issue with one of them. She swallowed, realizing just how real this was.
Isabella wasn’t an average Crow, and it was going to take a lot of clever work and cunning to capture her. She had fail-safes and tactics to make sure that she always came home. Viago had trained that in her, teaching her that coming back to them was just as important as the contract completion. This meant that this had likely taken months of clever planning and heavy bribes at the very least to even get close to the de Riva Crow.
To actually pull it off on the first attempt was dangerous, and Teia realized that Viago was going to see this as an act of war. She did as well, but her main concern was whether they could convince the First Talon of it as well. It was revealed that Isa was the weak point of not just one but two Talons, that was dangerous.
In all likelihood, Caterina would tell them to let Isa go. It would be better for them to let the Scourge kill the de Riva than to show weakness to the Antaam, especially when the Crows were finally gaining traction against the intruders.
However, Teia and Viago both were not going to let that happen. It didn’t matter that Isa was only a Crow. She was too important to both of them, and neither of them were going to give up on her.
“You got my message,” Viago hissed as Teia nodded. She didn’t think he needed to whisper, but they still didn’t know how the Kithlord managed to grab Isa.
“I did,” she confirmed with a nod. “What do we know?”
Viago swallowed before he handed her another note. She frowned, staring at him while she took the paper in her hand. She set her jaw before she looked at the clear ransom letter.
To the Talon of the Crow,
I think it will be easy to figure out who I am speaking about. I am not one to mince words, and I will not start now. The Crows have caused the Antaam enough trouble, and now I have an insurance plan to ensure that you do not act against the Antaam’s best interests when it comes to the governing of Treviso.
Understand that I do not want to hurt her, but I will if you do not comply with my instructions.
You will rescind any and all contracts against the Antaam, and you will steer clear of our patrols and our squads. You will not interfere with our work any longer.
I think I have made myself clear.
Isa will feel it if we have had any misunderstandings.
Kithlord Ozurak
Teia swallowed, having half a mind to rip up the paper. Instead, she handed it back to Viago calmly before taking a deep breath. She assumed that Viago’s office was already a complete mess. She needed to keep a calm head if she was going to keep her partner calm.
“Well, we know who took her,” Teia remarked as Viago glowered, grabbing the letter as gently as he could. “We need to make a plan.”
“What do you want to do? The First Talon would never sanction a rescue,” Viago hissed, clearly spiraling. Teia grimaced, realizing that she should have arrived at the estate sooner. It seemed that he had worked himself up already.
“Then Caterina doesn’t need to know. We will save her on our own,” Teia answered, folding her arms. “She’s also not the only Dellamorte in the House.”
“She’s the only First Talon.”
“If we tell Lucanis, don’t you think he’s going to get upset when he realizes what’s happened? His best friend has been taken by the person who invaded Treviso. He’ll be on our side.”
“He will also be the first to tell his grandmother,” Viago nearly growled before shaking his head, pacing in front of her in the empty hallway. Teia exhaled, watching him.
“He will understand if he needs to tell her after we rescue her,” Teia mentioned. Viago rubbed his eyes, realizing that the stress was getting to him. “Isa isn’t going to be the Scourge’s prisoner for long. You know she won’t let herself be caught for long.”
“That’s what worries me,” he whispered, shaking his head. Teia exhaled, realizing why he was concerned.
Isa wasn’t exactly one to do as she was told, which was fun for Teia and annoying for Viago. It was outright dangerous if she irritated the Scourge too far.
“Right. Well, then we need to figure out where he would hold her, how difficult it will be to get in, and how to get her out,” Teia reminded, grinning deviously. “I also want to show the Scourge what happens when you mess with two Talons and the Crows in general.”
“What do you want to do?” Viago asked, crossing his arms across his chest. Teia hummed before nodding once.
“Let’s go to your office,” she suggested, already walking past him. He exhaled, opening his mouth only for her to interrupt him. “And we’ll fix it back up while we’re there.”
Isa struggled in her restraints as water dripped down her face and her hair. They had gagged her and tied her so tightly that she could barely move before tying her to a tether in a modified prisoner’s cell. She had been stripped down out of her leathers and put into a linen blouse and pair of pants. They were thorough in her search, making sure that all blades were removed from her person before leaving her in the silent room.
She even tried biting through the gag in her mouth, but she wasn’t able to get much farther with that either. It seemed that Antaam had figured out how to subdue and hold Crows, which infuriated Isa. The only saving grace was that she had managed to take down seven Antaam before the rest managed to hold her down. The Scourge was not thrilled with those results, but the outcome was in his favor at least.
They had caught the Crow on her way to the Diamond. Isa had jumped onto a zipline over a canal, and as soon as she was halfway over, the line went slack and she started to fall. She let go of the zipline’s handle before she noted the net beneath her. She was able grab her daggers and cut the net as it slowed her descent before it could hold her.
However, Isa panicked as soon as she did hit the water. She had seen the Antaam gathering on either side of the canal, and that easily spelled trouble. Of course, that concern had to take a back seat as she struggled to reach the surface. With her leathers now waterlogged, she could feel her body being dragged down. Not that she knew how to swim regardless.
After struggling for a while, Isa felt her lungs burn as blackness filled her vision. This death was better than dying in the field, she supposed. At least her body would likely be found within the day and be returned to Viago or Teia for a proper funeral.
When she woke up soaking wet in linen clothes and tied up like a captured animal, Isa was shocked and furious. Now she was stuck on the floor as she tried in vain to break from her bonds. She would die before the Antaam got what they wanted from her, be it information or ransom.
“I didn’t think that you would be awake already,” a deep voice informed as Isa froze, glaring through her cell bars.
Kithlord ‘Scourge’ Ozurak walked down the hall and into her field of vision, a smug smile on his lips. She narrowed her eyes at him, wishing she could launch a string of Antivan curses at him.
“I would get comfortable. You are going to be here for a long time,” the Antaam commander taunted as Isa rolled her eyes. “If you manage not to attack our Maridim as he looks you over, then we will think about removing your bonds.”
Her eyes blinked at him, and the Scourge held his hands behind his back, rather proud of himself. Isa exhaled through her nose.
“If you harm our healer, then maybe we’ll send some proof to your Talons about your imprisonment. An ear. A finger. A tongue,” he threatened. Isa exhaled, realizing that she had no choice but to listen. “The Maridim already looked you over when you first came in since you nearly drowned. I didn’t expect you to cut the net meant to save you, by the way.”
Isa decided not to roll her eyes as she stared at him. He clearly didn’t understand how things worked with the Crows if that was what he was surprised by.
“Remember, privileges come with good behavior, and harmful consequences with bad manners,” the Scourge warned before sauntering away. Isa glowered at him before pulling at her restraints again. If she had the opportunity, she would wring his neck with her bare hands.
A few days passed as Teia and Viago worked with a few select Crows, including Lucanis, as they searched Treviso for Isa. The two Talons had made it clear that this was a secret operation, and the de Riva and Cantori Crows involved would be exempt from their duties until Isa was found.
These Crows were trusted within their Houses and people who already knew about their relationship with the Crow. While many didn’t understand the complex romance between the three of them, none of them questioned it and simply accepted it.
Lucanis was the only one from a different House than the Talons, but he was dedicated just as the Talons were. He had known Isa since they were both Fledglings, and he wasn’t going to let the Antaam hold her hostage without consequences.
With Teia’s urgency and insistence, the Crows were able to figure out that Isa was being held in the garrison like she thought. There weren’t many other places the Antaam would hold their prisoners, but she was worried that they had moved the Crow out of Treviso. The relief that both Talons felt to know that Isa was still in the city was immense, and they made a plan to infiltrate the garrison.
They were going to go in at night between patrols, and the Crows were sure that the area around their hostage was going to be the most heavily guarded. Viago gave each Crow enough poison to take down the entire army by themselves to make sure that everyone made it out. Viago always prided himself on the survival rate of his Crows, but he really didn’t want Caterina to catch wind of this and learnt that they had lost several Crows in the process.
The infiltration was going to happen in the dead of night after the night market was closed when most people would be asleep in the city. There would be several teams searching in different areas of the garrison to make sure that this would be a quick search and rescue mission.
Teia released the Crows, instructing them to wait at their posts for the signal to go in. Viago watched as the Crows left as Lucanis held back. The Talons glanced back at the Crow as Lucanis walked up to them.
“Are you sure that this is going to work? We haven’t gotten confirmation that Isa is even in there. We are going off of what our spies have heard the Antaam soldiers mention in passing. They could be saying anything,” Lucanis reminded with a frown. “The Scourge likely expects you to go after Isa. Are we sure that we aren’t walking into a trap?”
“We vetted each Crow. The Antaam don’t know we’re going in tonight,” Viago argued firmly, his eyes ablaze.
“The Scourge also doesn’t expect us to try and save her. His note was explicitly clear, which is why this needs to work,” Teia added while Lucanis still seemed unsure. However, he nodded and took a deep breath. “We will likely not get a second chance to save her, and if we were lucky enough to get a second chance, it would be more costly than it would be now.”
“What would you suggest?” Viago countered.
“I just want to make sure that she is even there before we walk and announce our intent. If she’s not there, then we could put her in more danger,” Lucanis answered before he held up his hands. “However, I don’t have a better a plan nor do I have a better idea of where she would be.”
“Then we will go as we planned,” Viago replied. Teia folded her arms as she regarded Lucanis.
“We will find her,” Teia reassured before glancing at Viago. “But I understand your concerns. If we find no sign of her, we might need to come up with a secondary objective to make it look like we were there for something else.”
“That will put Isa in danger,” Viago grumbled as Teia frowned.
“Any action we take will end with Isa in danger unless we get her out,” Teia reminded, furrowing her brows. “It would be prudent to take Isa out of the city once she’s out of his clutches.”
“There’s a de Riva villa in Salle that she can stay in while we figure this out,” Viago informed. Teia frowned, setting her jaw. She didn’t like the idea of Isa being so far away from her.
“I will take her there then,” Lucanis offered. Teia stared at him for a moment before Lucanis stepped forward. “I will make sure that we aren’t followed. She will be protected.”
“Alright,” Teia replied before she walked out of the room. Viago and Lucanis watched as the Talon left to prepare for the infiltration.
Teia waited where she had specified in the plan, watching the garrison from the nearby rooftops. The starlight and the torches of the garrison were the only light in the area, and Teia was thankful that the moon wasn’t full this week. The extra cover would be helpful.
“Thought I would find you here already,” Viago murmured, keeping his voice down as he walked up behind her. Teia didn’t turn around or move towards him. She just stared at the garrison with an anger she wasn’t familiar with.
“I keep feeling like there was more we should have done. Those buffoons shouldn’t have been able to capture her so... easily,” Teia hissed. Viago could hear a note of emotion in her voice, and he rested a hand on her shoulder. She touched it for a moment before lowering her hand again. “They will regret the moment they decided to take her.”
“They will feel our wrath and our blades. When we’re done, the Antaam won’t send another army to Antiva in fear of the Crows,” Viago reassured. Teia nodded gently, feeling like that would be enough for now. “Isa will be safe before the night is out. Otherwise, this place will become a tomb.”
“You always know how to make me feel better,” Teia whispered as Viago kissed her temple briefly.
“We’ll make it up to Isa as well. I’ll make up a good reason for us to head to Salle in the next week,” Viago informed as Teia took a deep breath.
“Let’s bring her home.”
Teia sent the signal as she watched shadows swarm the garrison, avoiding patrols and scouts with exact precision. Once the Crows were in, Teia and Viago made their way inside as well. They crept into the main area of the garrison, and Teia listened for signs of guards or staff. When silence met her, she pressed on.
Then she saw a light in the next room that was brighter than she had seen anywhere else. Teia glanced behind her to see Viago a few paces back, who looked equally confused. The light meant that someone was still awake while the guards were gone and missing.
Teia drew her daggers, waiting for a moment before peering around the corner. The light was coming from a roaring fire, and there were shadows dancing around the room. The Talon turned a little more, and her eyes widened before she turned back into her hiding space.
The room was mostly empty with the furniture pushed to the side against the walls, leaving the middle of the room wide open. In the middle of the room, Teia had seen Isa hanging there from her wrists tied with rope from the ceiling. She wasn’t wearing her usual leathers but linen instead. Even with the fire flickering, Teia could see the bloodstains that looked new from today and old from days ago.
Isa’s head hung as she dangled from her wrists, and Teia was nearly certain that her shoulders were dislocated at this point. Her toes barely touched the floor, and Teia’s blood boiled. She vowed that the Scourge would lose that name tonight before his death.
Viago walked towards her before she turned to him. The look in her eye was murderous. He looked into the room before his face went stony. He sent a separate signal in the form of a bird’s call. It was a recognizable one that their Crows would know and understand, only confusing the Antaam in the area.
They had agreed on a few different calls. One told them to retreat immediately, and another said to return to the Diamond as Isa had been found. This call said that the Scourge hadn’t kept his end of the deal, and the Crows were meant to attack with the poisons that they were given. They were to leave and take out as many soldiers as they possibly could. If the Scourge wanted a war, he would find himself in one.
Teia and Viago waited for Lucanis to appear before they entered the room. While Isa was clearly unconscious, this was set up like a trap, so they were going to treat it like it was. As they crossed the threshold, the doors closed behind them. The three of them frowned, realizing that they were right to signal the Crows before walking in.
A new light shone from the far corner, shining light on the large Qunari known as the Scourge. Teia ground her teeth as Viago sneered.
“Kithlord Ozurak,” Teia commented with a growl to her voice. The commander laughed deeply, shaking his head.
“I am surprised you let me have your sidathebas for so long,” the Scourge remarked with a smirk. Teia gripped her daggers while Viago did his best not to rush forward to attack the conqueror.
Isa struggled to open her eyes at the sound of her lovers’ voices, and she could hear the bastard laughing behind her. She wanted to tell Viago and Teia to slice him to pieces, but her jaw was too swollen to say much of anything. Her bloodlust and need for revenge outweighed her sanity at this point, not caring what happened to her if the attacked the Kithlord head on.
Teia could see the fluttering in her novia’s eyes, and relief flowed through her. Just knowing that she was alive was enough to keep her composure.
“All my Antaam guessed that we would have an incursion within a day. For five days to pass,” the Kithlord remarked before shaking his head. “I was starting to wonder if we had grabbed the wrong Crow.”
“Cut the rope that holds her up,” Teia hissed as the Kithlord hummed in interest, walking over to the Crow dangling in the middle of the room. He took his time, examining the state Isa was in before looking over at the Talons.
Viago was calculating every option they had. To try and grab Isa and run. To try and fight the commander. To regroup and come back with every Crow in the city that he could convince to attack the Antaam garrison. Teia was already set on the second option, unwilling to let Isa stay another moment in the presence of the Antaam commander.
“Maybe she’ll make a noise when she hits the floor,” the commander remarked, unsheathing the sword at his hip to cut the rope above Isa’s wrists.
Isa didn’t have any chance to keep herself on her feet, and she collapsed onto the ground with a soft grunt. The Kithlord sighed, shaking his head.
“Disappointing. Even during her time with our karasaad, she never cried out in pain or fear. I don’t even know if she knows how to speak,” the Kithlord remarked as Isa didn’t move from her spot on the floor.
“Maybe you will scream when my blades pierce your heart,” Teia hissed angrily before charging forward the moment he stepped away from Isa.
Viago cursed loudly before instructing Lucanis to grab Isa and get out. The Kithlord started shouting for his Antaam soldiers to join at his side. Teia could only grin maniacally as she sliced at the large Qunari, giving Lucanis the opening he needed to get Isa out of the building.
Teia would singlehandedly tear down the Antaam structure in Treviso if it meant that her cuervita was safe again.
Isa came to, and she immediately thought that she had died and gone to the afterlife. The bedding she laid was more comfortable than she had experienced before, and the gentle light coming in through the windows made her feel warm.
She could hear the sounds of the ocean, and she realized that she was most likely still alive. How, she wasn’t entirely sure. The last thing she remembered was hearing the Kithlord’s voice before collapsing on the ground. She remembered hearing Teia’s and Viago’s voices as well.
Forcing her eyes open, she recognized the room at least. She had used this room before when she would accompany Viago down to Salle for Talon duties. Which meant that she was in Salle.
Isa took a deep breath and looked around the room, slowly sitting up. Her bruises and cuts were still healing, but some still stung as she moved.
“Ah, slow down,” a voice commented next to her as she realized that Lucanis was sitting next to her.
“Luca? What are you doing here? How am I here?” Isa pressed before her friend gave a reassuring smile.
“Teia and Viago planned a way to get you out, and then I got you to Salle,” Lucanis explained. Isa slowly nodded, relieved to hear that she had been rescued. “Viago said that he would be able to get him and Teia here in a day or two.”
“I suppose I’m stuck here?” Isa whispered, hoping that this wasn’t going to be her new home. She didn’t like the thought of being away from Teia and Viago indefinitely.
“Just until Caterina calms down. The Antaam are scrambling against the Crows, and she’s had to deal with it. Teia told her that you and I were out on a contract,” Lucanis sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. Isa could have laughed at the idea of lying to the First Talon. “She’s too busy to deal with it, and I’m sure Viago will write something up.”
“I’m sure it’ll work out,” Isa nodded, leaning back against the pillows again.
“I hear Isa!” a voice in the hallway called out. Isa looked up as Lucanis smirked.
“I’ll let them know you’re awake,” Lucanis reassured before leaving the room. She thanked him before relaxing again, letting her body melt into the bed for a moment.
The door swung open as Isa turned to see a scattered Teia at the door. Isa grinned as tears gathered in her eyes. Teia shut the door before rushing to Isa’s side, nearly throwing her arms around her before thinking better of it. Isa wouldn’t have complained, but Teia could see the wounds were still healing.
Teia grabbed Isa’s hand instead before kissing it. Isa brought Teia’s hand to her lips as well, showing that she was alright.
“I owe you my life, vita mia,” Isa whispered, reaching for Teia’s cheek. “Vi and Luca, too, but I hear you were the one who planned the rescue.”
“I’m sorry we weren’t there sooner, cuervita,” Teia murmured. Isa shook her head.
“You came at the exactly the right time. They thought they had grabbed the wrong Crow for a few days, so you had them going, even if that wasn’t your intention, amore.”
“They wouldn’t have let you go.”
“No, they would not have,” Isa nodded, knowing that if she wasn’t a useful hostage, she would have been killed. She certainly wasn’t cooperating, either.
“But you are safe now,” Teia reassured, a tear falling down her cheek.
“Yes, I am. I’m sure Salle will be a good place for me,” the Crow nodded softly, feeling a lump form in her throat.
“It’s a good place to recover before you come back home,” Teia reaffirmed, surprising Isa.
“What are you talking about? The Antaam will just target me again or use something else to your disadvantage. It would be safer for me to stay here, wouldn’t it?” Isa asked before Teia smirked.
“It would be if any of the Antaam that had seen you were still alive. Viago had the Crows poison every Antaam in the garrison at the time. It’s not every Antaam in the city, but it was enough to send a message,” Teia informed with a chuckle. Isa blinked before she grinned. “So, as soon as you are travel ready, you are coming home with us.”
“Ah, so Vi did make the journey as well?” Isa wondered as Teia sighed.
“He said he would come see you when he was sure that the perimeter was secure,” Teia informed, making Isa chuckle.
“And he’s likely dragged Lucanis on the job as well,” Isa murmured before pulling Teia closer to her. The Talon climbed into the bed with her, careful of her injuries still. “Might as well keep me company and tell me about your trip here.”
“That’s not what you want to hear about,” Teia chuckled as Isa shrugged. “You want to learn how we managed to take out the Scourge and his army.”
“Just talk to me, amore. I just want to listen to your voice,” Isa informed, cuddling close with her ragazza.

For @teiaweek2026 day 7: Tits Out. I had little time to write something, so I did a drabble again.
The dress leaves her shoulders bare, scintillating swaths of midnight blue fabric that evokes a night sky. Her toned legs escapes the firmament through daring slits, revealing strapped knives to her inner thighs with each steps.
She walks across the dance floor of a Diamond that's firmly in her grasp, taking the arm of her beloved, stealing him from the crowd, with heated promises in her gleaming eyes.
Atop the stairs, with him shielding her from view, she hooks a finger to her dress and pulls, drawing his attention, a choked gasp and the gown low.
"You're mine tonight, Vi."
