Thinking about Iris West-Allen, started off this show as blogging about the impossible, which sparked in her a passion for journalism, her way of saving the world with her heart and her resourcefulness. Thinking about how she went from a rookie reporter at CCPN to slowly rebuilding her journalism career and creating the Central City Citizen. Thinking about her hiring Kamilla and Allegra as part of her new Team. Thinking about Iris’s heart and her goodness and her heroism. 

Thinking about how her steadfast love for Barry Allen and his love for her caused a rebirth of the speedforce. Thinking about how she is the Mother of the Speedforce. 

Thinking about how she is going to be the Matriarch of the Flash Family. Thinking about how excited she’s going to be when she meets Bart.

Thinking about how I’m so happy that Iris is getting the elevation in this narrative that she deserves as Intrepid Reporter, Matriarch of the Flash Family, and Mother of the Speedforce. I love her so much.

Barry and Iris are receiving another visit from their future offspring — but this time around, it's their son!

To All the Boys: P.S. I Love You star Jordan Fisher is joining The Flash in the recurring guest-star role of Bart Allen, a.k.a. the speedster Impulse, Barry (Grant Gustin) and Iris' (Candice Patton) son from the future. His first appearances on the show will coincide with the 150th episode airing later this season.

“Bart is the fastest teenager on the planet," according to the official character description. "But due to Bart's penchant for wildly impulsive behavior, stunned parents Barry and Iris will have their hands full trying to teach their new son patience. But it's a task they'll have to accomplish, in order for their family to work together and stop Team Flash's biggest threat yet!" (X)
