Avaset nodded “I have enough strength left in me for a couple more battles.” she pauses and came up with an idea. “I’m pretty fast, so I can lure them out.  I can go back though the side street,  and lure them to this street, one at a time.  It’s not wide enough for two people. Also, the soldier will only  focus on me. So, you can surprise attacks  them,  when they run out of the side street.  Then, I will attack the soldier once more. Are you okay with that, or do you have an other plan of attack?” she asked him.

— [ ❖ ] — He strokes his chin thoughtfully. It isn't a perfect plan, but it'll do in a pinch. Besides, unlike his young companion, he's spry enough to not worry about exhaustion. It pays to keep oneself out of the limelight, after all.

❝Fair enough plan. Doubt we'd need to come to a cleverer solution.❞ He shoulders his weapon with a shrug. ❝I can teleport, so an ambush should be child's play. Are you ready?❞

“Yep” Avaset pointed to the side road, behind her. “There are some soldiers from the other city patrolling on the other side of that road.” she felt pretty disappointed that her plan of reaching district 4 failed. “I’m trying to reach District 4, were are you going?” she asked as she moved away from the view of possible soldiers. Lucky, what happen to her didn’t cause any suspension from the soldiers.

— [ ❖ ] — He sighs to himself, shifting his gaze nervously towards the direction she came from. Oh, yes, he'll attack if he musts, but ugh, he has to dirty his hands… ❝Nowhere in particular. I had a friend that I've parted ways with a while back. Can you defend yourself? Maybe we can take them down if we work together.❞

Avaset just got done fighting a few troops from the other city. She was able to separate them from a bigger groups. There was no way she could not fight all of them, even with her summon spirits. The poor things really needed a break. She was currently in District 5, trying to make her way to District  4.  She heard of a safe house near by. It was closer compare to the safe house in District 5.  When she was about  to cross the boundary of District 5 and 4,  something caught her attention. It was an group of soldiers from the other city, they were patrolling in her chosen destination. “Crap” she thought to herself and ran out of the side road. However, she bumped into somebody on the main road, and they both feel to the ground. “I’m sorry about that!” she got up and offered the other person a hand.

— [ ❖ ] — This is not one of his strong points. All the fighting erupting all around is prime entertainment to the time traveler, surely, but he isn't exactly suited for it. Oh, he can definitely fight; there's no denying of that. It's just that he much prefers peace and comfort, and that comes in the form of those he can mold and shape to meet his needs. Oh, Seraphim is doing wonderfully, right now, but the android can't be expected to be a bodyguard, now, can he?

So he's analyzing his surroundings, taking note of who the hell to avoid and who he might be able to trust if enough sweet-talk is provided. He slips away from a detritus strewed road and...unceremoniously bumps into a young lady.

❝Ugh. Can't be helped, suppose. Better than being attacked--❞ Snide complaints die in his throat as he takes her proffered hand. Almost nonchalantly, a slender hand brushes debris off his shoulder. ❝I take it that you were on the run? From invaders?❞

HOMEWORLD N. TROPY While enjoying the chaos erupting all around him, he defends the Hive, if only for shaking suspicion off himself. His behavior is mostly self serving, admittedly, but he will not ignore someone from his own Hive if they need assistance. There is a chance of him being a double agent if the opportunity arises, but that seems unlikely. In short, he is a helping force to the Hive, even if it merely just because it is more convenient. OTHERWORLD N. TROPY Nearly the opposite of his other half, he is compassionate and works for the sake of his city. Having taken a completely different pathway in life, he is, at heart a good human being. Though his actions are for the greater good, his thirst for knowledge cannot be sated easily. That being said, there is no doubt of him having an underlying mad scientist streak. His faith in science is near fanatical in nature, as evidenced by the fact that his abilities and appearance are both very similar to that of his 'canon' incarnation. He is willing to serve as an envoy to our Hive, but at this point feels as if the only choice left is for only one Hive to survive. While he will oppose 'our' Hive, he possesses enough of a moral compass to only harm those who harm him first.

— [ ❖ ] — The differences in religions that ran amok in this city are rather incredible. Faiths he's never heard of before mingle with those that are, to him, commonplace. Not even a block away stands a mighty mosque, yet here he now stands, looking down upon a modest shrine of an unknown origin.

Footsteps hail the arrival of a magnificently clad figure. Decked in gold, if the newcomer were to claim himself as a god, followers would surely come. N. Tropy isn't the sort to hold blind faith; knowing a sort of god himself put an end to that. Regardless, he nods -- perhaps a little more respectfully than usual -- in acknowledgement.

❝Strange it must be to be a god in this city. I can't imagine what it must feel to not be so unique, I suppose.❞

— [ ❖ ] — A hand lifts up a moldy little thing, pages nearly crumbling in his fingers. The book, a product of Epsilon, wastes the rest of its meager lifespan in the scientist's hands. An incredible amount of disappointment rises from his chest as yet another piece of priceless literature wastes away.

❝Ah, well, just what I'd expect. Urgh, they couldn't have managed to keep these books in decent condition!?❞

“Aw thanks! Yeah, I’m sure it was just like a mistake or something? They were probably really busy what with all the people here, so I don’t really mind. But good to know I’m not on your naughty list, right?”

Steph laughed, casual as ever. Still, a present would have been nice. She wouldn’t complain or anything, but it sure was a damper on her Christmas cheer to buy all of her gifts herself. It made the city seem even lonelier, but she also doubted that a single present could change that.

He looked pretty happy she noticed his pun and that cheered her up a bit as well. Hopefully, he wasn’t another pun-loving villain and rather just a pun-loving citizen. One could hope that, at least.

“Me too! It’s always nice to meet another pun enthusiast, I think. Though I haven’t gone so far as to make my name a pun… You’re a really hardcore punster, I guess.”

— [ ❖ ] — Indeed, it is never reassuring to learn that one's Christmas isn't pleasant, even if Christmas is never really a thing. Even a friendless character like N. Tropy can sympathize on that count. He's already pegged this girl down as the friendly type who'd likely have fruitful Christmases time and time again.

Of course that doesn't make the situation any less insulting.

He almost feels, for lack of a better word guilty. No, he never feels guilt. That emotion has been washed out years ago. But apprehension? Maybe. Not easily attached to others, he still enjoys their company on an arbitrary level. The problem is, this city is so confined that it is likely difficult to hold secrets. At any rate, he hasn't played the role of villain -- yet.

❝Why, thank you. I admit that where I come from, one has to, ah, be a tad eccentric if they wish to stand out.❞ There is next to no exaggeration on his part. The iteration of planet earth where he once called home included education facilities specifically for evildoers among other things. Dressing up in fantastic manners, pushing the very limits one could go… such things have always been normal. He can only assume that he doesn't come off as unethical or anything else foul. Not yet. ❝Of course, I do enjoy a good pun, so a change in name was only natural, really.❞

Migru meets a chaotic entity

Guilt was never a good feeling, but turning to a wolf always has helped her, just trotting through the streets, her paws on the asphalt was a feeling she was all to familiar with. But ten minutes where finally up and she was back to being a ‘human’ once more.

“At least you’re not in chains Migru”

She spoke to herself as she smiled and began to regain her breath. At least she was not in chains. Nose to the air she began to sniff the air. Her senses where dulled in this place but it was alright. The Original Shapeshifter was just happy that she was given the wolf transformation. Though how they knew that was what she wanted, was something she would need to figure out.

Sensing the presence of another she would straighten herself as she reached for her imaginary sword, Noticing it was gone she smiled and merely stood straight looking around her, Anything in this place could be used as a weapon, she learned that early on in her life.

But sensing the other she would then toward the presence as she spoke in a harsh tone:

“It is not nice to surprise the elders, young one, if you may show yourself I would appreciate it”

— [ ❖ ] — There are moments when he is positively content to observe the flow of time in motion and watch the citizens of the city pass by. Observation is key to any experiment, particularly when he literally has all the time in the world to spend.

Perched against a low awning, he observes the citizens passing under with a critical eye. Few seem of interest to the time traveler, except for a singular lavender furred canine in the distance. As someone who knows all too well the consequences of genetic experimentation, the particular hues of the wolf in question are something even he hasn't seen before.

He blinks a singular time and the canine slips away, presumably down some alleyway though still in his vague direction. Digits release themselves from the guardrail, leaving only the faintest of indentations, before their owner merges into the shadows. Patient and nearly predatory, he leans against the building's wall, every bone in his body struck with tension.

When the next being to cross his path is a woman, he is a little disappointed. Surely, she would prove herself to be an interesting sort, but even so, his curiosity is left unfulfilled. Then again, she does appear to be similar to the wolf.

And, it appears as if she notices him. Oh, well.

❝My, my-- I can't recall the last time I've been scolded like that. Must have been by my ol' mum, truth be told.❞ Limbs uncross themselves from his slender form, transforming his figure into one deceptively simple. A chuckle, most sardonic in nature, exhales from his chest as he moves into view. ❝As you can see for yourself, madam, I am completely unarmed.❞

Blue skin? Out of all the survivors he had brought to his islands, not a single one of them had such strange skin color. Indeed, even the monsters and creatures who inhabited such a place didn’t have anything close to this hue. Maybe fur, but not skin color itself. And by the looks of this man… he looked like a scientist.

Oh, the experiences Maxwell had with scientists.

“Excuse me, pal, but I would like to pose a question to you. What do you think of our current predicament? Personally, I think it could use some improvement, but I would like to hear what others think about it. You know, put my opinion in perspective of others, yes?”

— [ ❖ ] — He is not quite sure what to make of the male who just approached him. Not particularly polite ( not even his 'pals' refer to him as pal ) yet still a curiosity in this city. Despite the vast well of knowledge known to the time traveler, crossing paths with citizens who hold knowledge unknown to him is a constant. Even those who arrive from worlds that seem similar to him house knowledge that is unfamiliar to him. At the very least, such things equate to him being more willing to cross paths with his fellow citizens.

❝Ah?❞ He finds himself agreeing with the other male -- on both counts. It is always nice to have a second opinion, though his immense pride prevents him from admitting that. ❝Can't say I disagree with you. This city is dreadfully boring. Oh, sure, the citizens themselves are a curiosity, but after nearly four months, the novelty wears off. How would you, ah, improve it?❞

    Jack likes this guy already. Like a kid getting candy, he beams, taking the generous donation into his hand and turning it once, twice over. There are fingerprints all over it like it’s part of the design, but the head looks practically new. Not bad, not bad… And this guy is willing to work on the side of evil, too. He gives him another smile.

    He may have just found the perfect ally without even trying. Finally!

    But first, he has to showcase his worth. His eyes descend upon the manhole of which he has made his duty to defile. The dents are a bit wider than the head of the screwdriver, but not drastic enough to be a problem. With a few flicks of the wrist and a bit of patience (long overdue for this little man), the manhole is clean off. Jack would look up at the guy to check for signs of approval, but he wants to seem nonchalant.

    [ ☢ ] “Here, thanks,” he says, still looking down upon the manhole. He picks it up and turns it once, twice over. “Huh. I didn’t think I’d get this far. I— I mean, I need to wait a few more minutes before I initiate the next part of the plan, okay? Anyway, what’s your name? I’m Jack Spicer, Evil Boy Genius. I know Chase Young, by the way. And Wuya, she worked under me once.” Well, he isn’t lying.

— [ ❖ ] — With hooded gaze and arms crossed, he scrutinizes the scene with a degree of patience. The job doesn't isn't bad by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, the work preformed is quicker than expected. Little time is wasted.

As his belonging is returned to him, the time traveler's features twitch slightly. For a moment, his lips turn downwards as do his brows. Even with that in mind, nothing suggests a great amount of hostility or disappointment. His time may be ticking away after all, but evildoing doesn't happen overnight. The boy's still young after all.

❝Mm, well, perfect plans take time, don't they?❞ Oh, his patience may be running thin -- always -- but this is no doubt a curious scene. There is an ounce of promise in the boy, and even if there wasn't, a book isn't to be judged by its cover.

❝Ah? I am afraid that I have never heard of your affiliations. Considering the nature of us being brought here from different universes and points in time, this shouldn't be much of a surprise.❞ The name Wuya is familiar in the on-the-tip-of-the-tongue way, but his lips are sealed in that regard. Better do his research and see if the boy's credentials check out. ❝But with a name like Jack Spicer, Evil Boy Genius, you must have been impressive where you came from.

As for me,❞ he continues, enjoying the irony in effect. ❝I am Doctor Nefarious Tropy, but you can refer to me as N. Tropy.❞

    Jack Spicer was just living a normal, evil life.

    A simple life in his simple basement with simple ambitions of world domination. He doesn’t like to complicate things. He keeps it short and sweet as a rule. Now, everything is bitter and perplexing and chaotic. He loves chaos, just not when it’s happening to him. It’s all fun and games until someone realizes that it’s not fun and games at all.

    The world which he once dedicated his life to dominate is no longer at his fingertips. He is left with an isolated city instead of a United States, a mere bag of rations instead of a pantry full of food, and a basement full of trash instead of a basement full of junk. There’s a very large difference. He doesn’t like it. To make matters worse, he doesn’t even have his toolkit with him, let alone his robots. He can’t start from scratch, and he can’t buy a new set. He’s practically stripped naked.

    His only weapons at the moment are a wooden staff— which hasn’t even been proven to work as it should— and the element of surprise.

    The surprise that is seeing a fourteen-year-old boy trying to remove a manhole from the street.

    [ ☢ ] “Dammit, there’s gotta be some wiring under this thing!” His fingers are too thick to get underneath it, but he still tries. Now that he leans back and actually looks at the thing, he finds that a screwdriver might help a little. He turns to the nearest passerby and casually asks:

    [ ☢ ] “Hey, d’you happen to have a screwdriver? A big one? I wanna cause some entropy.”

— [ ❖ ] — It is indeed a frustration.

Presented to him was a network of confidants and comrades, a brilliant scientific mind, machines of untold power, the ability to cause time paradoxes--! But now? He is nearly nothing. To be someone who once could bring mass hysteria with the flick of a wrist, but now possesses hardly more than the clothes on his back, it is indeed a frustration. Whether goal be to return home or to make this city his own, he has to start over from the ground up.

His allies are few. The only certainty is Seraphim, and even if the android can be molded to his will, they are an artificial being. But the others that he's met in this city are to be regarded with the utmost caution. There are far too many heroes in this damn city, though there is no shortage of villainy, either. He just has to find them. And they could be anywhere.

Like trying to mess with a manhole, for instance.

While it is a little peculiar, it isn't altogether surprising to see an urchin mess around with public property. Being from a world when one could attend an Academy of Evil as a young child, it isn't altogether strange meeting young supervillains. Being a student of Madame Amberly herself, the time traveler understood the importance of starting early, so to speak.

When asked about a screwdriver and subsequently given a reasoning, he smirks. ❝Entropy, you say?❞ His smirk widens upon hearing the ever familiar words on the boy's lips. ❝My, how could I refuse a reason to stir up chaos?❞

As a scientific mind, it would not do to leave the apartment without at least the more important of his tools. A screwdriver, however mundane it may be, is a useful tool. He never knows when an opportunity for tinkering and meddling will arise, after all. So, it is without any fuss that he produces the object in question from one of his pockets and tosses it to the boy.

Trailing in the Doctor’s wake, Seraphim seeks to match his pace. Cognitive functions are up, certain areas firing in above-average levels of energy. Odd. It appears to be a state of generalized elation- observing outside stimuli, it is probably due to Doctor N. Tropy’s interest in them.

It is a good feeling, being useful to someone. To a scientist, a doctor like Dr. Margo.

[I presume you speak of the limitations placed by the city. Though I have always been able to override directives, I am unable to discern the nature of how said limits are implied. However, with sufficient resources, effective workarounds should not be extensively difficult. If I may, Doctor, what were you seeking to recover?]

It would be best to think about the problem as soon as possible, take time to assess the situation.

They come to a halt as he does, blinking once. It’s a superficial gesture- their eyes hardly need moistening or shielding- and yet one they are capable of, and find themselves performing now and then.

[There are many inconveniences and complications affecting the people of this city, as well as ineffective disaster responses causing undue loss of health and property. These are evidence of an inefficient civic system. Being able to connect to each and every facet of the city, I should be able to renovate this system for the better. Were I able to connect to the [CORE] I believe that I would be able to manage the limiters, when they are placed and when they are lifted.]

[This city possesses capabilities that could make it a paradise. But they are squandered and inefficiently managed by a group of individuals who do not care for their citizens’ safety or regard. This is a formula for self-destruction. I have already seen the effects of such in Calcero.]

— [ ❖ ] — Oh dear, he nearly forgets to slow down enough for the android to match pace. Of course, this is a thrilling development. The scientist has at last found a link back to his former capabilities, and therefore, there really is no time to waste.

❝A shame, though I cannot say that I am surprised…❞ He sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose with thumb and forefinger. His belief is firm that it is likely that their captors terminate anyone who knows too much. It is an inevitably in a society that is created under an ever watchful eye. ❝No matter… As a scientist, it is my duty to push the limits of what I can and cannot do.❞

A takeover of this city would be near impossible, particularly with cameras trailing every last inch of the city. A way of bypassing surveillance subtly is key. It is not as if there is a reason for the scientists to cut him down for owning machines.

He pauses, choosing first to digest the information given by the android. It would be prudent for them to cooperate and merge their purposes and goals. It would not be all too difficult; the manipulation game has been played before. Even so, he might not even have to resort to such cunning matters.

❝All I wish is to recreate my laboratory… my machines… In the long run, I wish to leave this city, as is expected of much of our population, but of course that would be a difficult feat to achieve. With you integrating your systems with that of the Core, this could be achieved. Then again, with you on top of things, I wonder if I would even want to leave?❞

He isn't bothered by Seraphim's inclination towards controlling the city more efficiently. Oh, they could certainly pose a threat, but with careful planning, they could be a more efficient ally. Though insidious in mindset, the time traveler questions the authenticity of these so-called scientists and their experimentation. Nothing speaks of logic, only laziness. Quite a waste, really. This city could use a proper scientist running the show.

Maybe staying here would not be such a terrible idea, after all.

"I heard though, that there actually was a Santa here? And he gave presents to people? Which is pretty cool, honestly. But I guess I was too new or too old or too naughty to get anything. So like you know, scientists awful, they owe me like at least an Amazon giftcard or something. Random citizen Santa, great, love you, would’ve loved a present but I totally get it.

But if someone arranged that, maybe someone could arrange for welcome baskets for everyone… It’d be a whole lot of work, though, but it might be worth it. Might make settling in at least the tiniest bit easier. And then people like you wouldn’t have to waste their time in convenience stores, so yay! But still… a lot of work. Even imagining the amount of work’s a little overwhelming.”

Not like she could say much when it came to punny names. Her father was a cheap knockoff of a guy named E. Nigma.

— [ ❖ ] — A half lidded gaze focuses upon his surroundings for a moment. The amount of Christmas cheer in the air is still astounding. Its hard to imagine that so many people here has been on Santa's nice list. The fact that the jolly old man is/was here isn't all too surprising, anymore. The existence of magic has already been revealed to N. Tropy, even before arriving in Hive City.

❝I'd assume there was no ill intent to be had from exempting you from this joyous occasion. You do not, at all, appear to be someone deserving of the 'naughty list'.❞ He doesn't need to add that if the Big Guy was the genuine deal, that he would have likely been slapped on that accursed list without a second thought. Good thing that the tradition of Christmas gifts is mostly reserved for young people. Bah! ❝For someone so welcoming, I cannot imagine.❞

As she recognises his ( in his opinion ) clever moniker, he brightens up considerably. ❝Ah, I see you noticed. That is indeed correct! I'm rather fond of puns, myself.❞

Not what sort of question was that? Certainly only a fool would answer that they would adapt, or worse yet, enjoy staying in such a city. It was an experiment that completely left you in a state of paranoia and concern. Who knows what’s going on in this city. Who knew but those in charge?

”Adapt? What benefit would I have in adapting to such a place like this?”

But yes, what kind of question was that for? Why ask? Everyone wanted to leave. Didn’t they?

”Regardless, escape is the ultimate goal of everyone here. Am I not another person who wants to escape from a city like this?”

— [ ❖ ] – ❝Ultimate goal of everyone here? Not necessarily. There's individuals here who may not be as fortunate as us in their past lives. Some who would rather be trapped here than dead men. Entertainment to these scientists opposed to a constricted lifestyle in slavery.❞

He speaks with a hum in his voice, attitude detached from the words spoken. He doesn't feel the same as those, but then again, his life was free enough before arriving here. It is nice enough not to worry about dying permanently, but regardless, he'd rather be back home, surrounded by his machines.

❝No matter… Philosophical discussions about the individuality of our fellow citizens is quite pointless, wouldn't you say?❞ Hands clasp together in a near theatrical fashion. ❝Your answer is exactly what I hoped. If I am to strive for escape, I cannot do it on my own.❞
