temporary arrangements; {@Homura}
canticumcaeli:
Three days since Sayaka brought Homura to the hospital and three days the two have been bunking at Homura’s apartment. She was mostly fine by now, sure, but that didn’t stop Sayaka from worrying enough to feel the need to insist her company for even longer. Rude, maybe, but with the best of intentions.
Maybe she had taken more of a shine to the girl than she thought she would but at any rate, Homura’s wellbeing was suddenly important and Sayaka was going to do what she could to preserve it.
Without even bothering to knock, the magi opens the girl to her host’s apartment, a small bag of food at her side and snow covered boot from her trek out.
"Ah… hey! I’m back! Are you awake?"
Sayaka's persistence was never one that Homura grew used to over the timelines she had repeated before. Less so when it was directed at herself. Homura hadn't been in a good state of mind at all since the incident with Malmachina. If anything, she had gotten significantly worse than she'd ever shown before, which by itself was a red flag for anyone to see. Yet did she have the energy or heart to kick Sayaka out? Not really.
"I have been, for a little while now." Homura answered in a dull, uninterested tone. "...please try not to track too much snow onto the floor." Her tone hadn't changed much at all since recovering. She found it hard to express interest in much of what Sayaka tried to show her, and hard to fake any sense of optimism that was insisted upon her.
"I slept in again..." She silently observed in herself, shutting her eyes for a moment. Too much. She didn't usually sleep in like that, but it was a now repeating occurrence anymore.
