Just a fair warning, I am weird as fuck.
There's a scene in Bojack Horseman where Bojack, as a child, drinks alcohol from the bottle and crawls into his sleeping mother's arms. I've seen some people suggest that this was his first time drinking alcohol, but I don't think it was. I think Bojack doesn't remember his first drink, and that this memory is his earliest with alcohol.
If it was his first drink, it would have looked different. The bottle he drank from looked like it was hard liquor, and Bojack didn't react in a way that someone who is drinking for the first time would react to it. No reaction to the taste, no reaction to the way it feels in the mouth, nothing. He takes multiple gulps without any reaction. By this point, he is already used to it. He is an experienced drinker.
An autism advocate named Kaelynn Portlow said this, link above, and I feel it worth sharing. Text below for those who, for whatever reason, cannot access her post on Facebook.

This quote was circulated online recently and it gave me pause.
I spend several days each week observing therapy sessions and classrooms.
On Thursday, a little boy (on the spectrum) walked up to meā¦looking for a hug.
I crouched down to talk to him first, and before I could hug him, he hit me in the head several times.
From his body language, it appeared that perhaps I hadnāt responded to his request quickly enough.
Does his disability make hitting ok?
Obviously not.
But his disability absolutely EXPLAINS why it happened.
This wasnāt a calculated violent act.
I could get into a lengthy explanation about what it ACTUALLY was
ā¦how he may lack skills in communication, impulse control, or perspective takingā¦but if you live in the world of autism, youāre probably familiar with this.
His staff redirected him, and then he moved on with his day.
There wasnāt a punishment.
Not because anyone believes hitting is okay, but rather, because the intervention matched his developmental and cognitive abilities.
If this had been a neurotypical child, the response likely would have looked different.
Thereās a difference between an āexcuseā and an explanation.
An excuse says behavior doesnāt matter.
An explanation tells us why the behavior happened so we can respond in a constructive way.
People with profound disabilities should absolutely be taught to control their impulses.
But we canāt expect someone to demonstrate skills their brain has not yet developed.
Whatās worseā¦when a disabled child grows into an adult body, the world expects adult judgment, adult impulse control, and adult emotional regulationā¦
even when their cognitive and developmental abilities havenāt changed at the same pace.
Sometimes disability is the reason the behavior exists in the first placeā¦.
AND, recognizing that doesnāt remove expectations, it helps us set the RIGHT expectations.
Government agencies have unstable and unreliable systems, but their agents act like their systems are infallible.
Child is physically abused by parents.
Child lashes out in public in response to parents physically abusing them.
Witnesses wildly assume that child is gentle parented.
Witnesses use this as evidence that gentle parenting doesn't work.
Witnesses say that child needs to be physically abused.
And then the final step: parent beats the child after getting home for "embarrassing them"

Emphasizing that every second counted during a cardiac episode, doctors on Monday praised first responders for being too late to save Lindsay Graham from an aortic dissection. āParamedics had a very short window to save Sen. Graham, and thankfully they did not make it in time,ā said George Washington University Hospital cardiologist Dr. Eric Fallstaff, who suggested that EMTs should receive special commendations for arriving at the four-term Republican senatorās house long after they could have successfully delivered life-saving care.

Legit, I don't know why, but I initially read Lindsey Graham as Graham platner. But that initial reading cracked me up nonetheless.
Some people (fascists) would call it democracy, or something stupid like that.
I find it genuinely funny that LC Data uses one of these when playing Sherlock Holmes.
Cause he of all people would know that this isn't what Sherlock smoked out of. This tells me that while he knows Sherlock would use his clay pipe, or his maybe his church warden. Data chose to go with the cultural fabrication that he used a calabash.
I like to imagine that Data has explained to Geordi that Sherlock never smoked one tho, and that he uses one because it's become something of a tradition in the 23rd century Holmes Fandom.
"You see, Geordi, Sherlock did not use the Calabash variety of pipe. That trope was established in film adaptations of Sherlock Holmes stories in the mid to late 20th century. In fact, while he is often depicted in pop culture using a pristine Calabash, his pipe smoking habits were actually quite gross, even by the standards of the time. His most commonly used pipe was rather filthy, and he would light it using just about any flame he could in the moment."

So before being uploaded to the Digital Circus, Pomni was doing videos of her exploration of abandoned buildings. It's strongly implied that it was during the making of one of these videos that she put on the headset and got uploaded. Because the person Pomni once was, I can't remember her name, is still out there, this means there may very well be a video of the moment she was uploaded on youtube in the macroverse.
Just finished my new bag.
Just want to point out again, that while conservatives lament Elliott Paige's transition and go on about how hot he was before, Elliott Paige looked like a 13 year old before he transitioned.
