FFVII REVISED
Okay, allow me to explain:Recently, it was brought to my attention that some people on my page had a problem with me drawing black people because I, a black man, was drawing far too many of them (and not as stereotypes or tropes) when I’m known for having diverse character designs in the first place. This struck me as odd because there is literally no problem with me drawing characters of other backgrounds any other time, but the moment I start to draw us in a way that doesn’t make us look like the same stereotypes you’re used to seeing, it’s a problem? Check yourself. I literally got asked, “Do you ever draw white people?” And “You only draw black guys. Why?” In the same morning and I’m like, “Oh so this is a PROBLEM now?” Anyone that has seen my work knows that I draw people from all over. That said, there IS a conscious decision to represent my people in a way that is just and equal to how every other race has been represented since like…forever. Don’t come at me for actually taking the time and effort to show us in positive light. If me drawing people of color as characters and not stereotypes and over used tropes offends you, then get ready to hate my black ass then, because I’m not about to sit by and let us not be represented in a respectful, uplifting and positive light anymore and if you don’t like it well…. Too bad. But since it was an issue with me drawing my own heroes of color, I decided to do other heroes and villains from a game I’m fond of and make them people of color…. I specifically chose FFVII because it’s already a diverse case and to Square Enix’s credit, you could literally tell the same story with these designs. Enjoy.
do you remember i promised to draw food Iroh cooks for V? the cringe is real now!! :D today in menu: - a pie with cream filling - milk porridge with wildberries - cream soup with chanterelle mushrooms - bread starter - a soft bun - cheese - chicken legs with potato and homemade sour cream - venison with cream sauce - pumpkin puree soup - homemade butter - sweet bread with nuts

You guys gave me too many good suggestions to stop at just one character.

Gem Harding doesn't give out much personal info, as she doesn't rightly think it's any of your damn business. But given enough time, one might learn she's a mechanic and ex-biker from Louisiana, who rode down to the Everglades in search of a necromancer. And while said necromancer wasn't able to provide her the solutions she was looking for, Gem finds herself lingering on her property regardless; It's not like she has anywhere else to be or anything else to do.
But Gem in no mooch; She makes her money picking up trash machines from online marketplaces for free or cheap, fixing them, and then selling them at a profit. Between that and the constant maintenance needs of Tits' shitty old swamp house, Gem kept herself busy enough the past few years.
Recently, though, she discovered a critter taking on the shape of a human child, which has reignited her extremely powerful maternal instincts. Despite the strain it puts on her peace, she is determined to care for Hun; She doesn't care how many pounds of flesh this demon takes.

Made a lore friendly dessert platter: Sweet corn cakes (sprinkled with paneer, honey, and a paltry amount of leftover fig syrup) (one is a little burnt), with roasted figs and paneer.
-The cheese is a simple acid-curdled paneer type, made using wine vinegar.
-The cakes were made with my best available option of instant masa. I used leftover whey instead of water and sweetened the dough with a little honey. Fried in olive oil.
-The figs were tossed in NA white wine (aka: what I had on hand) honey and thyme, and roasted with the slices of paneer in the same dish.
This level of extravagance and liberal use of honey in a single meal would mostly be reserved for special occasions or wealthy households, though the ingredients themselves are widely available (at least seasonally so, wrt the figs). A plate this size would be shared, either served alongside a savory core meal or served between savory courses (if you're like, doing courses). This is a 'getting your hands extremely sticky' kind of meal, probably either eaten by everyone present picking away at the cakes or everyone getting a cake apiece, piling on figs and cheese, and eating it like an open faced sandwich.

Mermaids dissecting the carcass of a whale
Inspired by this tumblr post about whale carcasses and the ineffectiveness of marine scavengers. Go check it out, it'll make more sense that way.
