Yeah, bitch ain’t getting my vote
In my experience, a big reason that people tend to struggle with the concept of “no good cops” is that they only see police as being violent when they are actively beating or killing us. I think if more folks understood the scope and the breadth of the violence that policing engenders in and inflicts upon our communities, more people would agree that a better world is one without it.
this should be the most reblogged post on tumblr before it dies

Finding this on my normal dash is like taking a stroll through the Park and suddently stumbeling upon the Codex Hammurabi just lying there.

Usually I try to be positive about new movies I don’t particularly like. Maybe it’s just not for me.
But what the fuck have they done to the Minecraft movie.
"preheat"? dude i dont even HEAT my oven. thats right. im cooking my shit coldstyle. im stretching the definition of "cooking" far beyond its ultimate tensile strength. my chicken breasts are the most gorgeous pink color you've ever seen. they look like rosebuds on the very cusp of blooming. they look like the dawn when you're in love. hospital.

Imagine being a female character who was forced into marrying someone you didn't love to further the status of your family, and your only purpose in life is to give your husband's side of the family an heir.
Then, the creator of the show makes you out to be the villain.
There have been many women in history who have been forced in the same position as Stella. Other writers would've written her to at least be sympathetic. Yet the writers of the show choose to make you the villain and not a VICTIM because you disrupt their precious ship.
"When you wake up next to him in the middle of the night,
With your head in your hands, you're nothing more than his wife"
Something you seem to be missing here is that Stolas is probably more of a victim than Stella is. Stolas is a gay man being forced to marry someone he has no interest in and hide who he really is just for the sake of the bloodline. And while it is true that countless women throughout history have been forced into arranged marriages which has been nothing but damaging to them, Stella is not the person you want to rally behind on this issue. There are plenty of other female characters to talk about with this issue who aren’t narcissistic sadists, so why do you choose the one who was specifically created by a bisexual Hispanic woman?
