SHAWLS
Castiel - half-circle, lace, cables
Dickens Victorian Christmas - half-circle, HUGE, lace
Mystic Supernova - full circle, HUGE, lace (I have a ton of full circle shawls/doilies in my faves, HMU if you want more recs)
irtfa’a - half-circle, faroese lace
Rowena - half-circle, cables, lace
Gardens of Giverny - crescent, short rows and lace
Soli Deo Gloria - half-circle, lace, beads (optional), droooooool
Maris Stellis - half-circle, lace, beads. The designer has a whole whack of shawl patterns, go check them all out.
Scivias - half-circle, colorwork
The Swan Princess - half-circle, lace, HUGE, beads. This one technically has a crochet edging but you may be able to get away without it.
Fionan Fey - half-circle, brioche colorwork, lace, definitely not for the faint of heart
Twinity - crescent, lace, inspired by a Niebling doily so it’s a ride. This designer also has a lot of shawl patterns.
Lindisfarne - rectangular wrap, two-color cables and stripe colorwork, Celtic knotwork. I am an enormous fan of everything Lucy Hague does with cables.
Fox Paws - rectangular wrap, could be a scarf, SUPER trippy stripe motif with stacked stitches
Peony/Pfingstrose - half-circle, another Niebling inspired one. More from the designer.
Bonnie’s Wish - half-circle, cables, more Celtic motifs
Biellese - half-circle more slipped-stitch stripey colorwork
Sari - rectangular wrap, stunning colorwork and lace patterns that mimic Indian embroidery
SOCKS
Elina - Colorwork, two-color cables
Heiroglyphic socks - stranded colorwork
Study in Slip - colorwork (mostly stripes) and a whole whack of slipped stitches)
See You Later - elongated/slipped stitches. I’m making them right now and the stitch pattern is a trip.
Expecto Draconum - stranded colorwork and teeny cables, also CHECK OUT THAT RAINBOW AND BLACK VERSION HOT DAMN
Gothic Arches - Twisted stitches/cables, beads
Butterblumchen - small cables and twisted/elongated stitches in a floral pattern.
Gansey One - lots of gansey-like texture patterns.
Finn-ish socks - Rovaniemi-style colorwork
Coffee Cantata - approximately one million fiddly little cables and twisted stitches
Echoes from Karelia - ALL THE COLORWORK and also some cables
Valkyries - Stranded colorwork
Twisty Passages - More colorwork, this time with Roositud inlay
Grun ist die Hoffnung - the fiddly part is in the construction.
A Beautiful Necessity - Tiny little cables with embroidery
MITTS AND GLOVES
Toketee - tiny little twisted-stitch cables and ribbing
Rosy Mittens - some pretty non-geometric stranded colorwork
Entangled Stitches - gloves with twisted stitches. Also check out the designer’s other work.
Translated - fingerless gloves with tiny twisted stitches and a textured palm
Gansey Wristers - fingerless, some lovely textural goodness
Pieces of Eight - fingerless, trippy construction (don’t let the garter stitch fool you). The designer has a ton of variants on this pattern.
Fightin’ Words - fingerless, stranded colorwork, something a little more lighthearted
OTHER
Here We Gnome Again - delightfully fiddly little gnome pattern
Celtic Dragon Scarf - doubleknit colorwork with dragons and Celtic motifs
Actually while I’m at it check out literally everything in Tania Richter’s Ravelry Store, her doubleknit designs are to die for
Weighted Companion Cube - because everybody needs one
Dragon Curve Fractal Scarf - doubleknit and fractals, yes please
Constellate - beanie hat with a pretty stitch pattern
A PokeHat - stranded colorwork beanie
Double Mustard - Reversible cabled scarf, with two different cable patterns
Brain Frieze - Cowl, slipped and mosaic stitches for an insanely detailed colorwork pattern.
Aurora Borealis - scarf, more stacked stitches in the vein of Fox Paws. This designer is also incredibly prolific, holy cats.
Yavie - doubleknit lace scarf
EXTERMIKNIT! - a Dalek to accompany your companion cube. I’ve made this as well, though I subbed pony beads for the bobbles because screw bobbles.
Ilkeley Moor - Beret/tam with tiny twisted-stitch cables.
Eomer shield tam - cables, HOPE YOU LIKE COLORWORK
The Knitting Octopus - for when your project needs to be a bit meta.
Okay cutting myself off because this is getting out of hand. Hopefully this gives you something to start with!
