2) The deepest part of the Loch, nicknamed “Nessie’s Lair” is 812 feet deep.

3) There are an estimated 20 sightings per year of the Loch Ness Monster.

4) In 1934, there was an organized search for Nessie. Men were paid £2 to keep watch, but nothing was ever spotted.

5) In 2005, during the Scottish Triathlon, about 100 athletes were insured £1 million just in case they were bitten by the monster.
