you dont have to be a parent to understand the horror of walking into a room to discover that the baby crawled out of his crib and onto that pottery wheel you forgot to turn off, and while the baby is spinning around and around, the dog is sitting there all calm, like a person, gently using his paws to fashion the babys soft cartilage head into something a little more modern.  it might be the classic tale of bad parenting, but lets see where the dog is going with this

I think there's probably no 'interpretation' i hate more than "the hollow knight failed to contain the radiance cause daddy loved it too much and it caught feelings about it" because to have that interpretation you have to take two of the game's most unreliable narrators at face value and then wholly believe, despite all evidence given to you to the contrary, that this shitty fucking plan wasn't doomed from the start because you can't make living things and expect them to be empty shells, that it woudl have been okay if idk daddy had performed Proper Emotional Distancing.

Like that's just so many fundamental levels of wrong that I simply cannot. I do not know where to begin with unpacking this. And yet people keep making it my fucking problem by putting it on my posts so I keep being reminded of it
