Juggalos are a great example of how disenfranchised white people dont have to turn to racism to feel included or listened to. Like they could just be juggalos and we could all live in peace.

GO WATCH THIS SHOW, HONESTLY IT IS SO AMAZING.Ā
IF THIS POST CREATES 1 NEW PUSHING DAISIES FAN MY LIFE = MADE.Ā
Alright let me help out then:
1) Most of the cast is female. In fact only two main characters are male.
2) Both male characters take typically non-masculine hobbies. Emerson Cod knits almost non-stop and makes pop-up books. Ned is literally called āThe Pie-Makerā because he bakes homestyle pies from his motherās method. Both are shown to be very nurturing and even maternal characters. Conversely, the women? A pair of professional travelling show performers that have gritty sexual scandals the way men usually get (see the entire āChuckās fatherā storylines), a beekeeper who is the single most positive and optimistic character imaginable, and a former professional jockey- Three of four pro athletes.
3) You could very easily make the claim Ned is asexual.
4) Yes, the storyline is about romance. But itās also about the positive side of a love story, and their only drama lies in overcoming their inability to actually share contact.
5) A very good friend of mine recommended this show to me as āDisney for adults.ā I told her it was already on my list to watch because āItās by Bryan Fuller, from Wonderfalls and Dead Like Me.ā Bryan Fuller is now most known for āHannibal.ā The same camera methods and bright colours and lighting techniques Hannibal is known for? Perfected in this show, just using a different tone- The same colour methods in reverse, upping the vivid greens and yellows instead of reds and blues, which sells emotion both ways.
7) Probably one of the best examples of a modern day fairy tale possible.
8) Narrated by Jim Dale- The narrator for the HP audio books.

The moment people were like āoh shit water bendersā
I really loved this episode though, it was an established theme in the show that firebenders are associated with death and waterbenders are associated with life and healing, and up to this point it all seemed so clear-cut, because fire obviously destroys everything in its path while water can put out fires and heals, as weāve seen particularly in Kataraās case with her natural healing ability. Ā
Then we meet Hama, who due to years of torture and hatred has found a way to turn the classic gentler waterbending ways into a weapon of destruction and manipulation, and honestly I canāt think of a better way to introduce people to the fact that things are never as clear cut as they seem. Ā Weāve thought of waterbenders as the good guys up until this point, so itās jarring to find out that no, despite stereotypes and traditions, there are always going to be good and bad people in every culture/group, but thatās the point of the entire show.
Itās revisited later too when Aang and Zuko find the Sun Warriors who teach them firebending is not just about death and destruction, but also about bringing warmth to the earth and making plants grow and both Aang and Zuko needed to hear that they werenāt just instruments of destruction and gain confidence from the idea of using firebending to create lifeĀ and I love it I love this show so much.
Iāve said this roughly 1,000 times on this blog, but I think this show is a masterpiece of narrative. They establish characters and cultures that any other show would codify and then turn their own concept on its ear in believeable ways time and time again. Really exceptional.
