Sorry for the constant questions, but I thought of another one:

Do any of the other Commanders know what’s happening on Wolffe’s end? We know Fox was at the funeral and he was the one who pointed Wolffe in Lilith’s direction, but we haven’t heard anything about Rex, Cody, or any of the other Commanders (other than the Wolf Pack going to rescue Rex and Obi Wan).

Non-spoiler answer:

Not really.

Fox is an important part of the latter half of the story, which is why he is seen with Wolffe the most.

Rex and Wolffe have a lengthy conversation after Rex's rescue, but we don't see much of him after that.

Like in the show, Wolffe and Cody's paths don't cross much, so they don't talk at all in the series.

Same with the other commanders. Most things are just passed through the grapevine.

Oh, follow up question:

Will Wolffe get the clean break he’s hoping for, or will Cara catch on to the fact that he has to leave again?

Yes, of course!

Non-spoiler answer:

Yes and no. Cara doesn't catch on that he is leaving, but Wolffe is a class-a jerk about it when it does happen. Is it clean? Eh.

Spoiler answer:

So, Wolffe was really good at hiding it. He told Lilith his plans because she needed to know. That was the whole reason he hired her in the first place. The Pack knew too, obviously, but Wolffe swore them to secrecy.

When the time did come, Wolffe put on his armor and said goodbye to Cara, with his helmet on. He wouldn't take it off and look her in the eyes before he left. In all honesty, he was afraid, so he reverted to his comfort zone, but still, it was a complete jerk move.

Cara cried, of course, because armor equaled her dad leaving, but no one could do anything about it. Wolffe didn't let anyone from the Pack say goodbye either, which built even more tension with Comet.

And then Wolffe just turned and coldly walked off while Cara screamed for him to come back and Lilith just held onto her all stunned and didn't know what to do 🙃

Clean? No. Effective? Yes.

Fanart for Chapter 16 of @the-bad-batch-baroness’s fanfic “Where’s Mommy?” If you haven’t read it yet, I highly recommend that you do!

For context, Commander Wolffe was able to marry and have a child against all odds. Unfortunately, his wife dies from a sudden pulmonary embolism, leaving him as a single father during an ongoing war. With the help of his General and his Wolf Pack, Wolffe has to learn how to fill his wife’s shoes for his daughter’s sake while still being the commander that both his men and the galaxy need him to be.

The fic is so angsty and yet so wholesomely sweet as Wolffe tries to sort out his grief of losing his wife, as well as navigate the mindset of both a soldier and a father. His interactions with his daughter are also absolutely adorable! If that’s your cup of tea, I highly recommend that you check it out!

1. Yes, Wolffe will remember Cara during Order 66. My universe follows the Clone Wars canon as much as possible, so the only change in Wolffe during Order 66 is that he now believes the Jedi are traitors and he serves the Empire. There's no memory wipe.

2. Yes, Wolffe will be painfully aware that Cara and Lilith are at the Jedi Temple during Order 66. Following the canon, Wolffe is on Cato Nemodia where Plo Koon is shot down and killed during Order 66. Since Wolffe's original skepticism of the Jedi has come true (from the earlier chapters), he becomes a bit frantic to get back to Coruscant to save Cara and Lilith from the traitorous Jedi. However, the Admiral in charge of the fleet, now that Plo is gone, doesn't care about Wolffe's concern and laughs at him for even bringing it up. Well, Wolffe doesn't take too kindly to that answer and plans to steal a ship and go AWOL. While sneaking away, he's caught by Sinker, and after an intense conversation, Sinker, Boost, Comet, and Warthog all decide to desert with Wolffe and steal a ship to go to Coruscant and save Cara and Lilith.

My grandmother passed away yesterday.

She was 96, full of years, and ready, but that didn't make it any easier to say goodbye. I left work early on Thursday when I got the text from my mom, and I drove four hours to the hospital. I got to see her and talk to her on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday before I had to go back home, which was a wonderful gift. Then she passed on Sunday afternoon.

My grandmother was an amazing woman and a writer. She never published anything, but that didn't stop her. Her final writings were compiled into a memoir book that she received on Thursday. What good timing. I told her that writing must run in the family because I was writing a novel. She told me she wanted to read it, but now she never will.

With that being said, I've decided to put my fanfiction writing on official hiatus status and spend all my free time finishing my novel (trilogy) and publishing it. I know she won't be able to read it, but I want to finish it for her anyway and dedicate it to her memory.

I know those of you who have been patiently waiting for fic updates will be disappointed, and I apologize. I don't know how long I'll be on hiatus, but I don't plan on abandoning my fics forever, just for the time being. I do recommend subscribing to my AO3, so if you change your name or delete your Tumblr, you can still be notified when I update again.

I had that issue the other day and was so confused by it. I just went to my settings and fixed it by changing what content I saw. I also 100% agree with just leaving Tumblr because if they can't fix it then it's not worth being on here. I've been playing around with putting my writing on AO3 for a while now and maybe this is the sign I've been looking for. As much as I love Tumblr it probably won't be worth being on here anymore

I've thought about deleting the app before... but now I really want to ditch it.
